Great food, brilliant staff and good craic 👍

Possibly the best pub meal we have ever had. The staff were brilliant, friendly and efficient. The food was true Yorkshire Portions and of a really high standard. Then there are the home made truffles….

Lovely English pub, we enjoyed traditional Sunday dinner, friendly service and great beer.

Had our first takeaway Sunday dinner today and it was absolutely fantastic, the lamb was amazing and definitely plenty of it. Was all organised to perfection. Will definitely be using again, thank you!

Oh my goodness, I'm so full. Once again the food was excellent, 2 pork sunday lunches, a children's beef burger and a chicken nuggets and not a scrap left. Thankyou once again, absolutely delicious food and fantastic service. See you all again soon.

The waiting staff were very friendly and efficient and the food was very good and served hot. If you’re in the area we would definitely recommend it, but be prepared to wait for a table — book ahead if possible.

Love, love loved our Sunday Meal, the room we stayed in, the fabulous choice at breakfast and the friendly family and staff that managed the pub, the restaurant and the accommodation ☆ Left this morning and were already planning our next visit. Would highly recommend ♡

Fantastic Sunday lunch here was very busy but couldn’t do enough to make our experience just right. The meal was superb even brought extra vegetables. Always visit here first class service and lovely food. The staff work hard and are a credit to them.

Just come back from a 4 night stay and had a wonderful 4 days. the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the food is fantastic The pictures on the internet do not do it justice. go and see it for yourself.

My second visit here: the rooms are immaculate, bed extremely comfortable. Pub/ restaurant is good value, friendly and obliging. Four stars reflect the fact that is next to a road that is very busy at times which I found disturbed my sleep. However, this probably refects the fact that home is isolated and extremely peaceful. Would visit again!

Amazing Food, pleasant atmosphere and very friendly staff.

Good menu with wide range during week nicely presented and good to eat. Sunday menu is more limited with emphasis on traditional Sunday lunch menus.

Called in unexpectedly for coffee in the early evening and asked if sandwiches were available, we were warmly welcomed, nothing too much trouble and had a tasty ham sandwich with salad and chips at a very reasonable price. Always good service and good food, thank you.

We are currently staying at The Old Oak Tree. The accommodation is fabulous. Very spacious, clean and airy. The breakfast is amazing and so are the meals. The staff are all lovely, approachable and friendly. Nothing is too much bother. Lovely to also see that dogs are welcome. Added bonus of sheep and lambs at the bottom of the car park in their own field, which made my visit extra special as I love sheep. Thank you Old Oak Tree we will definitely be back.

Amazing food not silly prices. Large portions so may not need more than 1 course. Amazing sitting out area which is sun drenched when its summer in the UK.

I don't often eat out but for a change I would eat out seeing it was Bank Holiday Monday, we quickly chose the old oak tree in South Kilvington, the menu look good and I noticed that they would be happy to do changes the menu to suit the individual, my issue was when I first went to pay for my drinks was told that I would need to spend £10 before I could use my card, my other faff was when we sat outside and had to go to the bar and either pay or leave the your cards which wouldn't be problem but I pay on my phone. Some systems need changing, the food was nice. The staff where nice and friendly when you saw them but they were slow to serve us pudding and we left disappointed and probably won't return which is a shame.

Lovely friendly pub with a huge menu — it was really hard to choose what to have. Food arrived in good time and was piping hot. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Well done Old Oak Tree.

We're infrequent regulars — if that makes sense. The Old Oak is our go to place wheb a group of us decide to meet. Today was a lunch time meet for a change but as usual we had a great time. Food quality was wonderful, portion size will suit even big appetites (like mine). Will I be back? Of course I will.

Great country pub. We have visited regularly with our family for a variety of family functions. Welcoming, friendly, great food and excellent range of beer and wine. We will continue to visit.

Some good some not so good. 4 of us dinning. All 4 said the chips were very poor (fat needs changing). Most of the meal was fine though.

The lasagne was revolting. I didn’t manage to find any pasta it was just big lumps of meat covered in cheese that was way too strong and just smelt like sick. Glass was dirty with my drink in, but the place itself was nice.

Have just had the best meal sea food platter so fresh and well presented followed by a raspberry creme brulee stupendous John had sirloin steak wish he said was the best he had had for a long time followed by peanut butter cheesecake yummy thank you can't wait to come again xxx.

Our first visit here and 100% spot on. Stayed in one of the lodges that are very clean and tidy. Went into the pub for a few drinks before hitting town and the bar staff were very friendly. The morning after we went in for breakfast. Greeted by a guy who served us breakfast which was lovely. Very friendly, busy pub that I would % recommend to anyone. Also the sheep at the bottom of the garden are a friendly bunch. Went to say good morning to them before we left. Great thank you.

Nice restaurant, food and service good. They have a big variety on their menu, the specials board has pretty much everything from the menu so it's a bit difficult to choose, is like if you are reading the menu again, plus is on the wall, the waitress didn't know all the specials, so you have to stand up to see them. The place is very nice and clean, you feel cozy in there.

Went for food here to celebrate a birthday. Really nice food and reasonable prices. Few little niggles hence no 5 star.

Booked a table for our family of four late on Sunday night for the Bank Holiday Monday. Received a warm and friendly welcome, the team were all young and very friendly, and the food was absolutely great. Had evening meal again wife had chicken I had the lobster Both were excellent again Will be coming back.

A lovely meal with a couple of my friends. The service was good and the food was very tasty, there was a great atmosphere in the pub whilst there.

Lots of choice and nice seating outside. Had loads of really sucluent ham with my eggs and chips.

Disappointing. Food ok, but service was poor. Got one portion of sides between three people. Was told the policy was you ask if you want more. What a faff! Wondered if it was the waitresses first day.

Dog friendly with great food and a nice view of lambs grazing in the paddock down the slope.

Food OK but service terrible untrained staff did their best but struggled. Only Pepsi no real Coca-Cola and no cappuccino to follow the meal won't pay them a visit again or recommend them to friends.

Excellent meal. The fishcakes were gorgeous. I had 1/2 duck which was enormous. My husband had chicken and mushrooms. All came with vegetables and plenty of them. Beautiful sauces on all the food. Good menu choices to cater for everyone. Service was excellent and Charlotte was a delight. I would highly recommend a visit.

Was OK. They served food. Went for Sunday dinner at 1530 but it had finished already. Service was… there just about. Fit a lovely looking pub on a busy road I expected better. Sorry guys.

Popped in here on the way to Newcastle. Was a nice pleasant pub. We just had a coffee and crisps but it was nice and the staff were helpful and friendly.

We stayed here for one night with our 3 children in a family room with en suite. The shower was amazing! It was very clean and comfortable. The pub is beautiful and the food was spot on. The service was great and the owners very friendly and hospitable. I would definitely recommend this pub to anyone.
