Had a brill stay our dog Archie enjoyed his stay, rooms was lovely breakfast was really nice Archie enjoyed his sausage will be going again maybe in the summer months x.

Fabulous place, very friendly, great service, really good food. Nice accommodation, comfortable beds. Would definitely stay again, plus in a Perfect spot very beautiful.

Incredible venue. Lovely friendly service, great wines and real ales. A hidden gem. Highly recommend! The staff do everything to accommodate to make you feel so welcome. Haven't felt as relaxed in ages. The outdoor bar sitting amongst the trees is magical.

We stayed the night in our campervan. The manager was really welcoming and despite all the new covid measures, everything was really well run. We had a fabulous meal. Food very well cooked and the staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely return when back in the area.

Hand sanitizer everywhere and social distancing is easy in the huge beer garden. Fantastic base for a break 5* from us x.

Had a great 2 days. Booked last minute was a good decision. Very fig friendly, good walks and not far from the. Beaches of whitby and Scarborough, glad we didn't stay there though.

We stayed in the newly refurbished Lodge, ideal for walkers, such a pretty village. We had some lovely food at the Horseshoe Inn, freshly cooked, homemade food good sized portions. Sunday lunch was amazing! The staff are friendly and attentive, nothing is to much trouble, we will be returning.

We called in for lunch after a walk through the woods from Glaisdale. Truly excellent food — the slow-roasted lamb was one of my food highlights of the week whilst in the North York Moors.

Absolutely love this place. We have been on numerous occasions. If you don't want to eat in the bar where it can be quite noisy amongst the farmers that have just finished a hard day's work then you can eat in the restaurant. We eat in the bar because it's a lovely atmosphere. We had the pleasure of meeting Pearl the dog who was celebrating her 2nd birthday! Happy birthday Pearl! Only let down this time was we waited an hour for food and it wasn't very busy… nevermind we squeezed an extra drink in! Staff were very friendly. Thank you :)

Stayed over may bank hol what a lovely place staff and food great nothing to much trouble will be returning and highly recommend.

We stayed here for a night in December last year and I never got round to writing a review. The rooms were great and the food and service from the staff was exceptional. We ate in the dining room as it was my Dad's 70th birthday and the owners did everything to make it a really special occasion. We really would love to come back again and apologise for how long it has taken to write this review!

We couldn't have asked for better. Brilliant customer service, great food and we were allowed in with our dogs. We were out the way of the other customers but didn't feel ostracized. We have two large dogs and one small and it still wasn't a problem. We'll be coming back soon.

Smallish double room with a bit too much furniture, so not enough space for our suitcases. However, large well equipped bathroom. Very good food, served in a pleasant separate dining room. Could not book a time for dinner until check-in.

Lovely village pub, near the stepping stones across the river. Four good beers plus the usual bar range. Cosy inside but with plenty of seating outside.

A nice and comfortable place. The people were nice and gave us a warm welcome. The rooms are clean and the shower is good. There is good food available and the breakfast was excellent. A very good place to stay in a beautiful environment.

Set in a lovely little village with a beautiful river just around the corner. Big area for relaxing with pheasant roaming around. Run by very nice people the food is nice but pretty average pub food.

This is a wonderful hotel, nestled in a pretty, tree-lined part of the Coast to Coast path. We enjoyed a huge room overlooking the front garden, and we got to enjoy a bath—just the ticket after a long day’s walk. The bed was very comfortable, and we got a great night’s sleep. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We dined in the pub and had a great meal. Breakfast was delicious and in a bright, pleasant dining room. Great place to start the final push to Robin Hood’s Bay.

This lovely old pub in Egton Bridge isn't easy to find but it's a gem. Friendly locals, a great welcome from the bar, good plentiful food and a couple of real ales. And a real fire.

This place is a gem. Stayed here over night. The owner and staff very friendly can't do enough for you, locals very friendly and welcoming, cask beers perfect and the food is amazing. We will be visiting again.

My partner and I stayed here for 3 days and wished we'd booked more. We only had a short break together, but fell in love with the location, the pub and the atmosphere. Andy made a fantastic breakfast and the staff and kay were really delightful as were the locals. Our room wasn't modern particularly, but it's such an old building, who would expect that anyway? but it was warm, clean, comfy and cosy with the loveliest view of the front garden! At night we could hear the stream… we were more than happy and will stay again soon I hope!

Visited a few times last year so went again this year. Great beer, great staff. The beer garden is one of the best. Lovely area. Am considering staying here as s b+ b guest. Love it.

Wherever you live, stop doing what you are doing right now and drive to the Horseshoe Hotel at Egton Bridge… They have excellent beers, particularly the Theakstons, probably the most friendly and efficient service in the Universe and food created by angels. Not only that, but their prices make the whole experience brilliant value for money. Get your shoes on, get your car keys and get going right now.

This is a great place, been local and know this pub for a long time, I can say that the roast dinners on Sundays are out of this world, the lamb slow cooked over night, always spot on, and some great beers to try, (hair of the dog, man of steel) polite staff and always willing to accommodate even if you've not booked in, usually serving food all day aswell, not knocking of at 2:30, a little gem.
