A beautiful cottage in an amazing location. The owners are lovely and helpful. We all had a fantastic week with the dogs exploring the dale& moors and only half an hour from the coast… perfect. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Just had a fabulous week in Trevena Star cottage at Craven Garth, absolutely lovely lady who runs it, anything we needed she accommodated efficiently. Kids loved the farm and seeing the cows, lovely walks around the area too. Thank you so much for having us. Xxx.

Can not recommend highly enough. 14 of our family have just returned from a fabulous week in 4 of the cottages. The scenery is stunning, the cottages are beautiful and the lovely owners go out of their way to make your stay memorable. We had 2 birthdays whilst we were visiting g and they provided us with 2 wonderful cakes and wouldn’t let us recompense them.

I had a wonderful two night stay. Loved the tranquil moment I woke up in the morning to a beautiful view outside my window.
During the pandemic I’ve been busy and it was nice just to have the time in the most wonderful setting.
The log fire and a bottle of wine was much appreciated.
I would recommend going and soaking up the atmosphere and the scenery will definitely be booking again.

Just spent our 30th Wedding Anniversary here and was greeted with a lovely bottle of wine, flowers and anniversary helium balloon. Beautifully scenic and quiet apart from slight farm machinery noise which being a working farm is expected but not obtrusive. Lovely cottage which was clean and tidy with everything we needed for our stay. Friendly owners who were very helpful. Nearest supermarket is Pickering which has Lidl and Co-op. Had a relaxing time and enjoyed our stay.

Just returned from a lovely stay at Craven Garth Cottages. Beautiful location, perfect escape from the city. We had kids in our group who thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor space, swing and going to see the cows and sheep everyday. The cottages were very comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxed stay. The hosts were lovely too, recommending local places for us to visit and making sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend and would love to return one day.

Great place for a get away. Beautiful views and very quiet. Plenty of walks nearby. Lovely pub — The Coach horse Inn in Rosedale Abbey ideal for a drink and pub meal. Lots of places to explore close by in a car Only downside not all rooms have their own outdoor seating but there is access to a lawn and picnic area.

Another lovely, peaceful stay. This is the perfect get away in the current times. Clean and minimalist.

Everyone's comments say it all really. Ideal location, very friendly hosts, offering personal touches to make it special, accommodation has everything that you should need, excellent views, comfy beds. Wish we could have stayed longer, hopefully will be back again soon :-)

Just on way home great 3 days could stayed really nice,, clean great staff on a working farm loads walks no car needed for walks just out the farm all directions,, lovely break will be back soon thank you x.

Beautiful quaint cottages great finish and well appointed interiors with thoughtful touches that made us feel very welcome from the personal greeting on arrival to the bottle of wine! a genuinely lovely stay x.

Came for the 40’s war weekend in Pickering and we had a fabulous time.

We have had 2 stays now with Craven Garth Cottages and both times were amazing. Both cottages we stayed in were beautiful, had everything we needed. The owners were lovely and popped in on our arrival to see if we needed anything. Very homely and cosy and I can not wait to visit them again xx.

Amazing place! 4th time here and looking forward to many more.

My husband and I booked and stayed in one of the cottages on 4th and 5th November. We stayed in Valencourt and we had a fabulous stay. We took our cocker spaniel with us and we would definitely rebook. The cottage was clean and homely and had everything we needed. Ena and her family were very welcoming and couldn't help us out enough. There were lovely touches like a welcome board and a bottle of wine. There were great views and the log burner was a bonus. It is in the middle of nowhere but that is exactly what we wanted. Just a few FYI's — the nearest village is a 10 minute drive away with a pub and village shop. There are plenty of walks around the area. The Wi-Fi in this cottage was pretty much hit and miss but who needs a phone with these views right :-)

What an absolute beautiful place, the scenery is breathtakingly beautiful and the cottages are lovely, very clean with crisp white sheets and fluffy white towels It really felt like home from home, Ena and her family made us very welcome and we will definitely be going back the only downfall was our 2 day break wasn't long enough but next time will be longer thank you Ena for a truly beautiful break, I think I've found my favourite place best wishes.

Fantastic place the perfect place to enjoy the gorgeous views and relax Ena the owner is very welcomming and nothing is to much trouble cottages are very clean and so cosy we just keep comming back.

Just come back from a 3 night stay here. The cottage was lovely and Ena was very welcoming. If you're looking for a place to get away from it all with stunning views and plenty of walking this is the place to be.

Home after a lovely stay at Craven Garth. The Valencourt is a gorgeous home from home. Had everything we needed for a short break. Ena was lovely and welcoming and gave us advice where to find best fish and chips in Whitby (didn't quite get to lunchtime before we needed to eat but we'll remember for next time) Can't recommend this place highly enough, go stay here and you won't be disappointed. We hope to return some day :)

Cosy little cottage, very clean. Stunning views and lots to do out and about or just sit around with a good book. Bottle of wine a lovely touch and a lovely warm welcome from Ena. Wish we could have stayed longer. The water ran a bit cold in the bath and shower. Heating not very good in the main bedroom and not working in the en suite bathroom. Beds very comfy (apologies for the muddy paw marks! ) Also a cheese grater would be nice in the kitchen. Thank you so much for a pleasant stay x.
