Lovely bar, excellent service and beer!

We visited today — 2 children and 4 adults. Absolutely delicious food, one of the best meals I’ve experienced in a long time. Both my children had and devoured their 3 course meal. Staff were friendly, food was prompt and the service was brilliant. Thank you so much — we will be back!

The wife Booked the self contained flat top floor absolutely Fantastic. The staff are very friendly the food in the pub is great even Gluten free options for the wife breakfast great choice. Very clean everywhere. Social distancing all clearly marked. 10/10 will be back ASAP. CENTRAL to the town lots of walks and plenty to see.

Went for breakfast on Sunday, the food is good but the service we received unfortunately was terrible. Out of 5 orders 2 were completely wrong and the response was not I’ll change them for you but ‘we all get confused’ This is so disappointing because the quality of the food is very food.

Friendly staff a warm welcome and very nice surroundings. Food excellent. Nice ambience with live music playing in the background. Good wine selection and reasonably priced. Well worth a visit if you're in the area. Advisable to book though, we were squeezed in at the last minute but glad we got in.

Stayed with my mum as we had gone to the theatre. Fantastic hotel. Lovely apartment. Spacious clean and modern. Staff very friendly. Great breakfast. We ate in the restaurant. Fantastic meal.

Only restaurant with live music in Harrogate (so big plus) but very empty when we went (Saturday) and surprisingly, given the ratio between staff and customers, unsatisfactory service.

Wonderful food, great service and great ambience. My calves liver was delicious as was the prawn, smoked salmon and crayfish terrine and the venison was perfectly, washed down with a good red wine and accompanied by live music — what more could one want. Xx.

This is such a nice restaurant, live jazz music, great atmosphere. Wasn't too expensive either. My partner had a delicious pie. The starters sounded amazing.

Had a wonderful weekend. Staff friendly and helpful. Our room was a good size, clean and well maintained. We had a meal on Saturday night. The food was well presented and cooked to perfection. There was also live music which was light listening and enjoyable. Excellent night. The morning breakfast was excellent. I would highly recommend a visit. We will definitely visit again.

Lovely place to stay and enjoy the town. Bar and staff were great. Enjoyed an excellent breakfast, really good. Our room was the only slight gripe — it was a little bit cramped and not as nice as the last time I stayed there. But frankly this place is superb. And the live music in the bar late doors was most enjoyable. Loved it.

Stayed here in February and even though they were extremely busy (Valentines night) they still managed to get us a table where we had a really good meal accompanied by live jazz. Perhaps the word hotel should be dropped as it is not a typical hotel so if you want that go elsewhere. However what you lose in facilities you gain in charm and character. Staying here you will get a quaint and quirky experience with friendly and helpful staff. It is really well located for the town centre and isn't it nice to be trusted as a guest for a change and not to have to pay up front for your stay. We really enjoyed it only really missing the fact that there was no public lounge other than the bar area.

Had Sunday lunch here and it was a lovely atmosphere with really good food and excellent service.

This place is so amazing not just because it situated in harrogate but because of the staff and the food. The staff make you feel so homely and the food is just prepared to the best standards xx defo reccomend going here for a meal xx.

Being a regular single female staying away overnight due to work this place is one of the best hotels I have stayed in to date. I was warmly welcomed. I had a wonderful room with the comfiest bed ever. The evening meal and breakfast were delicious. The staff were so welcoming and friendly making me feel comfortable to remain at the bar after finishing my meal to enable me to listen to the live jazz. To sum it up — 10/10

Both myself, my mum and daughter had the most amazing time. Very welcoming staff (Geoff/Jeff). Our evening meal was perfect! The apartment was perfect! The breakfast was perfect! Would recommend most definitely. Great location. They catered for everything and everyone and nothing was to much trouble. Thank you so much for our stay. X.

This place is lovely. We had an amazing meal here, delicious food, wonderful service and an amazing jazz duo entertained us throughout. Will certainly return here when we visit Harrogate again.

Cool little place. Just stopped in for drinks. Sat in the beer garden in the sun. Very nice. Would like to go back and try the food or accommodation.

Tired, faded decor; dusty, dirty room with a nail sticking up through threadbare carpet; staircase that came apart in my hands; surly, belligerent, offensive staff at breakfast, and an hour waiting to get it; extremely noisy toilet and floorboards (upstairs sounded like elephants) ; dirty bed linen and disgusting net curtains that makes the place look long abandoned; they tried to charge us £50 extra for the room (good thing we'd brought a copy of the booking confirmation), and argued the point; "continental" breakfast isn't croissants and pastries, as you would expect, but cereal and fruit salad; for a supposedly 4* hotel, it was decidedly 2-3 stars; no secure place to store bags until the room was ready, they were just dumped at the bottom and to one side of the stairs; noisy location. Everyone in the hotel seemed to be in the same boat. I'm amazed there wasn't a fight. We didn't dare try the bath, shower, bottled water etc. We brought our own cups. On the plus side: English fried breakfast tasted ok, when it eventually arrived. Although oil had a strange taste, would be interested to know what brand they used. Great location for Harrogate shopping center and the Conference Center, where bands often play. Live jazz band every night (two old dears who couldn't sing when we were there, but it was very Yorkshire in a Beiderbecke Affair kind of way). Thankfully they stopped playing at 11pm. Dunkirk spirit with the other cheesed off guests.

What an amazing place! Totally loved it, delicious food, amazing music, could eat an chat and listen to the wonderful jazz singer gently singing! Lovely staff, happy and relaxed. Superb night all round!

Great service and quality food. Pricey, but worth it!

Went here on Halloween night, with a group of 12 other people. Had a good meal. Staff friendly and the food is good. The atmosphere in the place was good, as there was a live Jazz band playing. Good, central easy to find location. The bar area is a bit small, but that does not matter, as most people go there to dine.
