Fab food. Excellent service.

We booked here for our 10th wedding anniversary and it was the best choice the food was absolutely amazing and the service was brilliant. I would highly recommend.

Lovely food and place has been done out nicely. Downside was tables approx 30cm apart if that.

I thought the food was very nice, but overpriced for the amount you got, not enough veg/side, waiter very nice and pleasant,, it was very dark in side the pub, don’t think I’ll call again, £2.10 for half a coke, when it came to paying at least, dick Turpin wore a mask 😷

Well where do I start, the food is exemplary, the service superb, and room not only beautiful but immaculate in every way. Some lovely touches like homemade cookies and coffee machine… they even make their own gin! The decore amazing! 1st Class in every way, thank you for having us at The Plough.

Just returned from a short stay at The Plough. What a fabulous place. The food was excellent, the staff were attentive and very friendly. The place has been transformed by the new owners, it’s very stylish and has a tremendous atmosphere. We’ll be back and would highly recommend a visit!

Our stay at the Plough was everything we wanted, very welcoming and friendly staff with excellent customer service. Our room was beautiful, with a bath as requested, drinks in the bar were great with excellent choice, including their own gin — which was delicious! We chose it because the menu and food looked amazing and we wanted a nice night away for the evening and it exceeded our expectations. The food was beautiful from starter to dessert and excellent choice of wine. Would highly recommend and we will be returning in the future!

Had a lovely Sunday lunch at The Plough today. Excellent food, service just right and the refurbishment is so lovely. Will definitely be returning for an evening meal very soon. Thank you Karen & Rocco.

Great pub and local, fantastic food, under new management, a must visit.

Went to have a look and try the food tonight. I was not disappointed as the food was superb and only surpassed by the fantastic service (more on that below)! had the scallops, then hallibut and finished with the raspberry creme brulee, each dish was beautifully presented and delicious to boot. I had taken my soon to he 3 year old son as well, who was catered for so well in terms of food but also I must commend our waiter (andy I think) who engaged with our son, made him smile and put us at ease too. The staff here have made our night and I couldn't recommend enough, 7* out of 5 if I could rate them here.

Went for a few drinks last night and it looked amazing the rooms were really beautifully done and there was a great atmosphere and the staff were really friendly will definitely be going back x.

Lovely food at a great price. I had fish gougons for starters followed by lasagne and garlic bread. My partner had nachos for starters followed by bangers and mash the food is very good homeworker food at a great price and the staff are friendly. We were sat by the fire after a lovely walk so we were nicely warmed up I would definitely recommend.

We went to The Plough Inn and my parents did go through the wrong door, the woman at the bar was rather rude when she explained they had gone through the wrong door, no need for it when it was a simple accident and no one else was coming through at the time and my parents did apologise (they are pensioners). Just didn’t set a good first impression. The ale was also cloudy and the Pepsi flat, normally I would have gone in and given them a chance to rectify this but due to the woman’s attitude we didn’t think it was worth giving them the chance, we left our drinks and decided not to return!

Have frequented a few times in the past couple of days. Very friendly and courteous staff. Had a lovely meal. Thoroughly recommend.

Tottaly love the plough during my 8.000 mile walk for charity the kindness shown from all here was amazing not only is the place spotless friendly and in a amazing location but the owners have a heart of gold I strongly suggest a visit x.

Just home from Christmas Dinner and I can’t recommend or praise this place enough!
The food was excellent, no loss of quality like you get at some places at Xmas, not crammed in like sardines, fabulous friendly service, and excellent value for money! Well done to Gemma and the team, you did yourselves proud xxx.

I would recommend everything about the Plough… The hospitality was outstanding, the food was amazing. Gemma could not do enough for us, absolutely fantastic stay, all the staff are really lovely. The rooms are so lovely, spacious and so comfortable and a nice place to relax and the views are amazing And to top our stay off was meeting the lovely Reggie absolutely adorable xx.

Lovely place, really friendly owners, great food and to top it off they had puppy reggie wagging his tail around the place.

Called in Yesterday after a ride and a wander at Gisburn. The guys had finished serving but still made us some absolutely cracking food. Really good pub, really enjoyed the food but most of all a really pleasant staff looking after the customers. Will definitely be going back and would definitely recommend.

We have visited the Plough Inn twice whilst being away in the caravan over a period of two months… First time we called in was a Sunday teatime to be told that they'd stopped serving food as they'd had run out of food! Tried again this Friday evening at 5pm to be told that food wasn't served till 6pm… even though the website states that on a Friday that food is served from midday! Very disappointed & will not try again or recommend to friends! Not at all welcoming or friendly!

Didn't stay as a guest at the hotel but tried to book a table for food on a Friday evening. They said they were fully booked. So… we went for a drink anyway as we were staying at a local campsite and the pub was hardly full at all. Seemed a bit odd to be honest… there were local people getting served but we couldn't get any food. Seemed like "closed" atmosphere, and get click. Really put us off… shame cos the camp site is lovely. They are obviously oblivious to potential trade!

Stayed here while we did the 3 yorkshire peaks what a lovely place. Gemma is a great hostess really looked after us and the food is all fresh cooked and lovely. Highly recommend and will look forward to visiting again.

Visited this weekend after being recommended by my sister and brother in law and it did not disappoint. From the minute we arrived we were made to feel welcome. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The food is amazing! Cannot recommend this place enough.

Welcoming staff, great location and excellent food. We had a fantastic 2 night stay here during June 2018 and we'll definitely be returning again. We came to walk the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge and they accommodated our 5am start by providing breakfast for us. They have a comfortable lounge area and a great beer garden with views of Ingleborough.

Lovely place, rooms clean and bright. Great choice on the menu and it was great. Would definitely stay again. All staff helpful and friendly.

Lovely pub! Clean, staff very friendly, made to feel very welcome. Loved sitting outside in the sunshine with a nice cold pint of cider. Will defo go back.

Great food and very good prices. We have been here twice so far and will definitely visit again. The chicken wings are amazing! There's a big beer garden and big restaurant so plenty of room. Short detour off the A65, a few miles but worth it! Very friendly staff and dog friendly.

Greeted by Gemma, the landlady, I had a pleasant meal, (Cumberland sausage and mash) I really enjoyed it.

Booked as a last minute getaway, this place is a truly hidden gem! Rooms are well furnished and spotless, great views from our room at the back onto the garden and hills (and family of wild rabbits that were playing on the lawn). Gemma and the rest of the staff really couldn’t have been more friendly and accommodating, and food is excellent and extremely good value especially the “small” cheeseboard — which easily feeds a small army!
Will definitely return.

Food is excellent. Great location and very welcoming. Unlike most places they haven't over filled the room with tables so very comfortable to relax and eat your meals. Doggy friendly too.

Excellent hospitality, staying round the corner on a caravan site, just popped in to see what's going on three pints later, because the kitchen was getting a refurbishment the manager pop's over with a plate of cheese onions and crackers,. Didn't ask for them but nice, good hospitality great folk, come visit.

The Plough hotel was a very welcoming and friendly place, the rooms were lovely and clean with everything in that you needed. The food was fantastic and very reasonably priced and the staff couldn't do enough for you. I would recommend this place for a visit unreservedly.

Booked the whole of the plough inn for a family wedding in settle. Gemma could not have been more helpful. My family had nothing but praise for the way they were looked after and their accommodation. Thank you so much for all your help Gemma. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent service and well-appointed rooms. Good location for a number of the hiking areas in the Yorkshire Dales. Would return!

The room was nicely decorated and most comfortable. We had a good night sleep as the the bed was comfortable too. We had views of the hills in the distance and the farm next door from our room. It was quiet considering it was a pub. We were made to feel very welcome by Gemma and her staff. Nothing was too much trouble. We had an evening meal which was freshley made and absolutely gorgeous. The portions were generous. An overal very pleasant stay. Would definitely stay again.

Second weekend stay here over the last year, since Gemma and Andrew took over. Lovely surroundings, great food — from simple snacks to three course meals (if you can fit it in; the portions are generous) and friendly helpful staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Lots of little cosy areas with real fires to settle down in, and a light airy conservatory with complimentary newspapers. Modern but unpretentious. We'll be back!

Just spent 2 nights at this amazing place, had a wonderful time there. Owners and staff were brilliant and went out of their way and so friendly, food was amazing. Definitely be returning in the future, thank you all at The Plough Inn.

This is a great hotel, great rooms, fab food and extremely pleasant staff. Nothing is to much trouble for the owners. We have stayed several times, no hesitation in recommending the Plough. Just about to book another short break with them.
