Been to shireburn arms for valentine weekend lovely friendley staff, room comfortable, food nice exspecialey the breakfast, nice atmoshere loved the real log fires🤗

Myself and my mum were passing and decided to stop by for a latte and food, the food was lovely and the service was extremely friendly by all staff but in particular the bartender Tom. Would highly recommend and we’ll definitely be returning.

Appalling manager and reception staff! Hotel wasn't fit for purpose, broken bed which couldn't sleep in, broken bath! fithy round and bathroom! but worst of all is Rude manager.

Fantastic place to visit especially after a walk in the beautiful surroundings!

We had the pleasure of having our wedding here on Friday 12th Nov. From beginning to end the Shireburn Arms was perfect. The staff Megan, Sarah and Trudy were absolutely amazing. They all worked tirelessly to make our day perfect for us from rearranging my dress to tending to a very emotional groom. The food was also spot on and added to a perfect day. Thank you Shireburn you were amazing xx.

Lovely food after completing the Tolkien trail today, we had the fish and chips, cheese and onion pie and a chocolate fudge brownie. All were delicious, amazing attentive staff, will definitely be going back.

Had a lovely meal. The hot beef sandwich was perfect. Fabulous friendly staff made it even better.

Enjoyed a birthday celebration lunch here. The food was extremely nice and good service. Cosy atmosphere with open fire in a very old building. Beautiful view from the back of the pub and it's in a lovely small village. Would definitely return.

Had my son's wedding there. Everything about the day was fantastic. The staff were absolutely brilliant and nothing was too much trouble from the moment we all descended on the place to leaving the next morning to go home.
The Tolkien room I stayed the night in was lovely and the view from the windows was breathtaking.

Our wedding was held at the Shireburn Arms at the beginning of September and WOW what a day it was. We have had sooo many comments from our guests to say how beautiful a wedding venue, food was fantastic and service all day was excellent. Megan and her team were absolutely brilliant and nothing was too much trouble. Megan was always close by and constantly checking me and my husband were okay and had everything we needed from start to finish, including the night prior when a group of the wedding party stayed for dinner!
I would recommend the Shireburn Arms for a relaxing meal, wedding and overnight stay!

Enjoyed our stay, lovely room and it was nice to spend a night away with our dog in a dog friendly environment, the meal was very good, staff helpful & friendly and we did the Tolkien trail the following day. Glad the shireburn arms had a handy little map big help as the walk isn't well sign posted, highly recommended by us.

I was fortunate to do a wedding at this lovely venue and would happily recommend it to any couples looking for a venue for their wedding! The layout is wonderful, the food was excellent, but above all else, the staff were friendly, professional and caring. The views are stunning, so if you are looking for ‘the one’, give the Shireburn Arms Hotel a viewing!

We stayed the night before my wedding. Lovely staff (especially the lady on reception), lovely food and the rooms are nice overall. One disappointing element of our stay was how uncomfortable the bed in the Tolkein suite was; it was rock hard! The beds in the cheaper rooms were much more comfortable which was disappointing considering we had paid more! The room was also very hot (I know the weather can't be helped) but we couldn't open the windows due to the amount of wasps outside. I did complain about this and the manager kindly got two wasps out of the room but on the morning of the wedding, we didn't want to open the windows for obvious reasons. Overall, a nice stay but the Tolkein suite wasn't the most relaxing room to stay in/get ready in before my wedding day. Thanks to the lovely lady on reception though (sorry I can't remember her name).

The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. Beautuful bed linen, fall asleep comfortable beds. Gorgeous Smoked Salmon and scrabbled egg breakfast. Our stay was perfect. Thank you Shireburn Arms.

Beautiful setting, attentive staff and lovely lunch.

Lucky enough to do the bbq masterclass at the Shireburn Arms today. Fantastic session on bbq meats steak, chicken and lamb. Bbq will never be burgers and sausage only any more. Great pace of teaching and interaction. Highly recommend the course to all. We made spatchcock chicken, lamb rumps, steak, nachos, salmon, cheese toasties.

Fabulous location, great staff, lovely food and good atmosphere.

I work away from home majority of the year so stay in a lot of hotels etc, this place by far beats the majority of them, and I'm very picky the staff are so polite and friendly, the rooms are very comfortable, the cooked breakfast is spot on, I can't fault the place one bit.

Meals have been lovely all week, stayed here as a guest, great hotel, staff very friendly, top service all round.

Really nice oldie world pub /hotel very relaxed atmosphere staff very friendly and the room and food very good. And a fantastic area to visit as well.

The location is absolutely stunning, very panoramic. Food looks good, very clean rest rooms. It's a lovely place to spend with your family and friends, rustic and peaceful atmosphere… Just the way I like it.

I stopped for a drink. It was a warm day and although it was warm in the pub the man still lit the fire so I left. Also limited menu. Beautiful decor and outside sitting area was gorgeous.

Where to begin… I had my fairy-tale wedding at The Shireburn Arms on the 23.06.2018 and I couldn't fault a thing. The whole process was made stress free thanks to the wonderful staff, wedding co-coordinator and on the day by our master of ceremony. They are all true professionals and help with any query you have. The location is breathtaking, the food was incredible and the ambience was very relaxed and enjoyable to all. The facilities from the games room, to the gardens, to the rustic (yet modern) bedrooms added to a truly spectacular day. I couldn't be more thankful and am so glad I chose to get married here.

We fell in love with Shireburn as soon as we viewed it on a wedding open day. The staff were very professional on our wedding day and welcoming.
They were well accommodating for dietary requirements for our guests. The canapés were amazing and we’re all polished off. The most beautiful thing is the gorgeous view of the ribble valley. We were lucky enough to have lovely weather on our big day and we captured some gorgeous wedding photos here.
All our family and guests couldn’t believe how beautiful the Shireburn was inside and out. It has a real historical and traditional feel and the room was so stunning. Decorated with candles and mirror plates on the tables it felt very high standard.
The only thing is we asked half sponge and half fruit of our wedding cake cut, unfortunately they cut both bottom tears which were fruit which meant not as much was consummed.
All in all a truly beautiful venue in the heart of the ribble valley. My weddind day couldn’t have been any better. Thank you.

Only stopped for some drinks after walking the Tolkien Trail which runs through the car park. The food other people had looked good and it was nice inside and out. One criticism would be that the glass tables outside at the front where we sat were grubby, sticky and needed a good wipe. To be honest I could say this about almost every pub I visit with outside seating and tables. Come on guys! A quick spray and wipe with a cloth isn't much to ask. Is it?

Dog friendly and walker friendly pub. Good food, with lunch option available noon to 2.30 p. M. A few guest ales. We were made very welcome and enjoyed our time here.

Renovated coaching inn in a quiet village. Multiple rooms to sit in and eat in. Excellent ales and great food. Bedrooms very comfortable. Knowledgeable and friendly staff.

Just had our sons wedding here it's a wonderful place for a wedding. The staff were amazing they made us all feel important and valued. The food was fantastic and the four poster bed was so comfy. Would definitely recommend this place.

We booked The Shireburn Arms Hotel over 12mths ago to hold the entirety of our Wedding day on 27th Jan (Friday just gone). From the moment we walked through the doors we were greeting with a warm welcome, with its vintage style decor, it's log fires and breathtaking views I knew that it was the perfect venue. Wedding coordinator, Cora was amazing, from the moment we booked the Shireburn she was attentive, keeping in touch over the months via email (my choice) sending reminders, offering advise and being a massive support for us. Myself and my mum and bridesmaids stayed the night prior to the wedding and again, though Cora wasn't on duty, the staff took perfect care of us especially Rebecca and our waiter/ bar man (I'm sorry can't remember your name! ) who endured our dry sense of humour with a humour of his own!
On the actual wedding day a dressing room was made available along with our rooms as soon as they were ready including the bridal suite (complementary within the wedding package).
The whole venue area was decorated beautifully. The wedding breakfast meal was to die for, each course was mouthwatering, impeccably timed and the waiting on staff were friendly, efficient and nothing was too much trouble to them. The maitre-de was friendly, put us at ease and was on hand throughout for any queries.

Attended my son and new daughter-in-law wedding on 28th December 2016, staff very helpful, layout of rooms for ceremony and meal excellent in particular the how the table's were " dressed " for the meal, food good well worth considering if you are planning a wedding, two tiny niggles, parking need to ensure parking for guests and on a "pickey" note room 12 suffers from a strange noise every 10 seconds or so probably heating / water system, overall first rate.
