Lovely pub lunch today Staff where very helpful & friendly. We watched them putting up the Christmas Tree whilst sitting in front of the beautiful fires, perfect afternoon with great company.

Wonderful picturesque place. Gorgeous building and it's surroundings. Inside is as wonderful as out. Food amazing staff very friendly and efficient. Great service would highly recommend. Also for weddings I got married there 10 years ago and it's still as beautiful.

Amazing venue! We had our wedding here and everything was perfect. Fabulous setting. Great food. Lovely staff. Beccy, Jen and the team went above and beyond for Sean and I and we couldn’t recommend them highly enough. Thanks for everything!

What a place! My son married his beautiful bride yesterday and they couldn't do enough. Everything was just perfect. The rooms are beautiful and everywhere is just spotless Cant say how helpful the staff were. Definitely recommend it.

Stayed for 2 nights for a wedding at the weekend amazing experience from start to finish the whole hotel is beautiful.

Very small rooms over the party room, not very accessible for my disabled spouse, long corridors with more steps up and down, very slippery shower with step up and down in front of w/c making it difficult for my mobility challenged wife, full English breakfast was sketchy poorly put together the sausage wheel tasted as if it was off although we were told freshly delivered daily but have been flavoured the other 5 guests at my table had the same issues, staff did change mine to eggs royal which was ok.

Nightmare place, staff untrained, few and far between. Food is just shocking and the room we stayed in was mouldy! Seriously how this place is still in business is beyond me. Stay away! Stay away!

Lovely afternoon family lunch. Considering there was a wedding taking place the service was good, great menu lovely ambiance. Staff were excellent would definitely recommend.

Had our wedding on Friday 17th September. Could not have been any more perfect. Lesley Ann is fantastic at what she does. From getting there the night before to leaving the day after. We received amazing service the full run up to the wedding and the room was decorated beautiful. Mitton Hall recommended the photographer, Nick English who is amazing, creations for the room decoration, the DJ who filled the dance floor all night, and the magic mirror that my guest loved. The bar staff was fantastic and interacted great with all the wedding party. The food is out of this world. A massive thank you to all the staff they were amazing and the most beautiful venue I’ve ever seen xx.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary there this week and the afternoon tea was lush, but the service was exceptional, so attentive and they even gave us complimentary champagne, which was such a fab touch. The staff really were a credit to the venue. Would highly recommend.

We had our wedding at Mitton Hall on 30/12/2020, despite the covid restrictions, and we are so grateful to have had it at Mitton as they were just fantastic. Obviously 2020 was extremely challenging for brides & grooms but also for all the wedding venues and industry as a whole. Mitton and the events team have worked with us throughout and been brilliant. Jess and Emily were our wedding planners and they were both so friendly and professional. Jen and Rebecca on the day itself were just outstanding, made us both feel at ease and really helped to make our day perfect so thank you all so much. From booking our wedding in October 2017 we have had many visits and stays at Mitton for just lunches, taster evenings etc etc and each time has been lovely, we will continue to visit well into the future. Highly recommend! Thank you again.

Just come home from most AMAZING 2 night stay at Mitton Hall. One of the best hotels we've stayed at. Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly, helpful staff. Extremely Covid secure & conscious, the Ribble Suite was amazing, as was the rest of the hotel & atmosphere. Booked the bed, breakfast & dinner option and as a vegetarian with dairy & gluten free intolerances, I was catered to with every meal & had so many choices. Will definitely be returning.

We had a lovely time nothing was too much trouble everyone was plesant and worked hard too please. The food was first class the castle was exiting very cosy the breakfast was ample and lots choice. It is close to Clitheroe, which is a very nice town with a Castle. Definitely recommend for a short break.

The building is amazing, food was delicious and the staff were lovely. Super cosy in winter with three fires to choose from. Want to visit in summer for a walk and drinks on the patio with the view of the river.

Stayed for two nights for my son's wedding. I found the staff helpful and polite. Only negative was poor bar service, from inexperienced young staff. The grounds are immaculate.

Had a brilliant day last Friday. The staff were super efficient. Lovely atmosphere. Luckily the weather was fantastic all day and the views are amazing. A good time was had by all.

Excellent service. The venue is amazing. Only been sat here for 4 hours now and the excellent service is non stop. Credit to the chef and the excellent team at this venue.

Me & my now husband got married here in December 2018 (late review I know) and what can I say?! It was absolutely amazing, we couldn’t have picked a better venue. Everything was just perfect and way better than expected. The food was delicious, the rooms were just gorgeous! I wish we could do it all over again. A special thanks to Jen Porteous for all that she did, she was amazing and also helped massively with my nerves. Thank you so much to all the staff involved. We can’t wait to come back and stay again xx.

Great afternoon tea! Came here with friends over the weekend and had a great experience. The ambience is really nice, chilled and laid back. Had a drink in the bar and then moved to the restaurant for afternoon tea with a cheeky glass of champagne! Lovely choice of finger sandwiches and a really nice touch I have not had elsewhere of a savoury tartlet and sausage roll. Scones were very tasty and a good choice of cakes (parma violet jelly was really unique). It would be great to have maybe a chocolate or ginger cake as well but regardless they were all fresh and tasty. Endless supply of tea or coffee and we were able to move into the lounge area to carry on drinking. Even though there was a wedding party arriving the service was still excellent and not just focused on them, but all guests. I would highly recommend and will definitely go back — I have had a lot of afternoon teas and this was the best!

Warmth, and elegance is how I would be describe this place. Tastefully decorated as an era building, in a breathtaking location. Good blend of old meets new in the style of decor. Rooms spacious and modern. Food tasteful. The staff however was dressed very sloppy for the venue, and were not very friendly.

We got married at Mitton Hall on Sunday, and it was an absolutely incredible day. Nothing was too much trouble, and everything went smoothly.
We visit the restaurant quite a lot for family meals, and often book the private dining rooms as there are so many of us! It’s a really special place to us and I can not recommend it enough.

I don’t even know how to begin to thank all the staff at Mitton hall for all of their hard work and efforts leading up to and during our wedding ceremony/reception last Saturday. Wow! From the minute we walked in 2 years ago, I knew we HAD to get married at Mitton and you all did not disappoint. Very responsive to any query — big or small, leading up to our day which put us very much at ease. Chloe who has responded to nearly (if not all) of our wedding queries and helped us organise the day, to Emma on the day. She made me feel calm since the minute she walked in and ran the day seamlessly. No job was too big, she was absolutely fantastic and we loved her! The food was insane, guests have said “best food at a wedding ever! ” — I could honestly go on for days about how amazing Mitton is and all the staff there. From the bottom of my heart, thank you! We absolutely love Mitton Hall. Sitting in the terrace in the sunshine or by the fire in the great Hall is a little moment of heaven. The food is delicious and service exemplary.

Had an afternoon tea here asked for water, it didn't turn up we had to ask again not much variety with the sandwiches but sausage roll was delicious. The cakes were average and had to ask for butter for the scones. Wouldn't go again.

Beautiful hotel. The room that was used for the wedding was decorated beautifully. The garden and views makes it a fantastic place to hold a wedding.

An excellent venue for a special event. The building has character and it's setting with gardens stretching to the river made a wonderful backdrop. The food was superb and everyone commented on the quality of their meal and service by the staff at Mitton Hall.

Just had the most amazing overnight stay at Mitton Hall. From arrival to departure the staff were wonderful — a credit to the establishment. Could not do enough for you, friend, helpful and very knowledgeable about their super Hall and didn’t mind sharing this knowledge with you. We stayed in the Princess Suite really lovely just what you needed for a short but wonderful stay, very comfortable bed for a great night’s sleep. Very nice well stocked bar, we had an evening meal in the bar area which was excellent. Nice locally sources ingredients for breakfast to set you up for the rest of the day. This will be an absolute wonderful location to get married or have that special reception. Can’t wait to go back. Thank you all for a wonderful stay.

Beautiful hotel set in well maintained grounds. Wonderful old reception hall and tastefully restored bar and restaurant areas. Very well stocked bar, a real treat for gin lovers. Great friendly service. Looking forward to next time.

Attended Mitton Hall for our friends wedding and had a wonderful time. Beautiful atmospheric venue, staff so helpful and were very attentive especially offering a delicious gluten free option. Would highly recommend.

We went here for a wedding open day the main room and bar area was very nice and extremely well set up and we were impressed. We would have liked to have seen the rooms but they were not available to view which we would have really liked to see and the fact that there is no elevator or disabled access to the rooms would make this very difficult to choose as a venue despite how amazing the main hall actually is. We loved the dark gothicness of the main public area as well it is very different.

Staff made my sisters wedding run smoothly and kept her calm the food was great but could have a bit more on the plate and the dress was lots of fun but could have more of a selection of songs. The one down side is they offered a 13 year old wine and bear constantly so just to get some juice the organ8ser had to know but even after that they kept on offering. Finally to go to the actually ceremony best man maid of honey the bridesmaids the ushers farther of the bride and bride had to leave the hotel in freezing cold weather and snow just to go to the ceremony but overall great place just need some improvements.

Oh my goodness, what a beautiful house to eat in! When you arrive you are greeted by a beautiful view of the facade, the entrance is through a grand hall complete with roaring fireplace. The staff are welcoming and friendly, very helpful. The menu is mouth watering, absolutely delicious food, beautifully presented. They have a wide range of cocktails and other drinks both alcoholic and non, and after dinner you can lounge in the hall in comfortable chairs around the fireplace. 5 stars, would recommend to a friend.

My husband and I had a fabulous night, food was really good and the staff are great, nothing is to much trouble, they are friendly, professional whilst making you feel relaxed and looked after. This place is exceptional for Weddings. The staff are so helpful and professional. The day was just perfect. The setting and hotel are simply stunning. Everyone commented on how good the venue and food was. The staff were accommodating of Vegans and dogs! Love this place!

Went to a wedding here. Great food, plenty to choose from at the bar. Good staff and very nice rooms.

We attended Mitton Hall on a wedding food tasting day with a family wedding coming up in September. The food was excellent and service impeccable. With eight people dining we had a different dish for each person on each course. I personally had the feta tartlet, duck breast & sticky toffee pudding. All went down a treat especially the pud which was served with a generous amount of toffee sauce and ice cream. The only downside was that some of the wines available to taste within the package were average at best but a big thumbs up to the French Sauvignon Blanc and the Merlot which were excellent and duly chosen for September. All in all a tip top place.

Attended a friend's wedding here and it was wonderful. The hotel is beautiful and the staff took very good care of everyone, including my wife who has coeliac disease — they were knowledgeable and efficient. Would definitely recommend.

Looking at this place as a wedding venue. Beautiful grounds and lovely historical main hall and bar combined with the open fire make a wonderful area to relax in. The room for events is beautiful with the back drop onto the countryside adding to it.

Venue was absolutely beautiful — all done up for Christmas. We had a private room which was fantastic for the children. The waitresses were all very friendly and attentive and food looked lovely. I only gave 4 stars as I think I have had tastier (but not as well presented) food in other restaurants. But we would definitely go back again.

Took my mum and grandma for their birthdays today, really accommodating, food was outstanding as always but service stood out. Never disappointed with this place.

Faultless! Was here for a birthday meal last night, emailed them to give us a good spot & without asking we had complimentary Prosecco which was well presented and a fully decorated table!
The service was world class along with the food. The place is amazing and a must visit place!

Went to their Wedding open day. Loved the venue, so many picturesque parts to the place. Staff were friendly and attentive and the facilities really had a unique individual quality about them.

Superb! Attended a wedding fair here and the amount of thought and care taken in the organization really showed. Caring welcoming staff, with a very personalised approach. Love this place!

Enjoyed a lovely wedding at the weekend. It was very organised and went well. The hall itself is looking a bit tired in places. The chairs in the wedding venue are very uncomfortable.

We got married at Mitton Hall on 14th July this year and it was the best day we could have asked for. From the outset, the team at Mitton were amazing – they are super organised and on top of every detail throughout the whole planning process. Every time I emailed, they would get back me so quickly with such helpful responses, which was amazing and reassured me every step of the way. On the day itself, everything ran so smoothly and the team ensured it flowed seamlessly but without fuss. I loved having breakfast with my bridesmaids and mum on the morning of the wedding, and getting ready in the beautiful rooms was wonderful. The venue looked amazing, the food was delicious, the DJ included as part of the package was brilliant – everything was even better than we could have hoped for. So many of our guests commented on how beautiful Mitton Hall is, how amazing the food was – and generally what a fantastic day it was. The bridal suite was beautiful, and having breakfast with our closest family and friends the next morning was such a lovely end to such a special experience. We couldn’t have chosen a more perfect venue for us, and we can’t recommend Mitton Hall highly enough. A special thank you to Lesley-Anne, who is so lovely and was brilliant keeping on top of everything on the day, and Chloe, who made the planning process so easy and enjoyable.

I went with a friend who is thinking of having their wedding there. We met with the wedding co ordinator and had a tour. We were greeted with a hot beverage and the staff were lovely. It is a beautiful place and I really hope my friend gets married there.

Magnificent afternoon tea & champagne… best scones we've EVER tasted. They must have an excellent pastry chef! A bar of opulence with well trained, attentive staff. Now looking to stay a night to enjoy the restaurant & bar for cocktails.

My friends and I always come to mitton hall to their afternoon tea. They never fail to disappoint a lovely selection of cake and sandwiches are provided on a nice slate cake stand. The staff are very attentive and all very a very reasonable price. Would highly recommend.

Mitton Hall is set in a lovely location in Clitheroe. It has a large car park on the front of the hotel and beautiful views overlooking the river and countryside at the rear. The frontage is very impressive as is the interior. The function room and bar were spacious with lots of seating in all areas. The food was very nice, well cooked and presented. The Ladies WC was very small with only 2 cubicles, the taps didn't work very well and it soon became untidy. The staff were all very friendly and efficient. All in all a very nice hotel.

Fantastic view, the design in used in the function rooms are beautiful. The only issue was they manged to mess up the food service for my table — missed a starter, missed extra gravy we asked for and missed prosecco. Would recommend — beautiful.

Our friend had their wedding reception here. The food was phenomenal, and they catered for a dairy and gluten free diet wonderfully. I can't rate them highly enough.

Terrible service, dissappointing food. We waited over an hour for our food and had to send it back when it came. The quality was poor and the portions were small. To add insult to injury the dessert was also very late and the staff responded by saying they forgot about it. In the end we were given a discount but it didnt make up for the poor experience and it was still rather expensive.

Attended brothers wedding. Staff very nice. Although. Some of the decor was beyond tatty. Fraid carpets. Over all a lovely time.

Stayed for one night recently including a ten course taster menu, brilliant! We got a very good mid week price which made it even better. Lovely place, friendly staff and great food.

Cocktail masterclass — 3 course meal then a cocktail making class. Food was excellent. Couple of issues occured however the customer service received ws second to none. I can recommend this place, beautiful venue, nice staff, excellent customer service, lovely food… it really is a lovely place.

The best place we've ever been to, we visited here with family for a family meal a few times before booking our wedding here in 2010. It was a dream day at a dream location, all the staff were great especially Vicky.

Overated cheap food made to look expensive.

What a change! Mitton Hall now stands out for very classy decor and superb food since total makeover by new owners. The meal, surroundings and service were all first rate.

A poor atempt as a hotellier, junk food and poor service. ABOBINABULL This place was worse than McDonalds and that is such a suprise as the area around does not match the standard of the hotel.
