We booked a suite at this resort, on the website we only saw 2 available rooms. One was for 2 people and one was for groups. Both came with a hot tub. Upon arrival we were given a room that quite frankly Harry Potter wouldn’t have stayed in. £175 for a box under the stairs. When we asked why they said I’d booked that room and that I’d have to pay £118 more to stay in the room with the hot tub. Upon emailing after to complain I was told this was my own fault, and now having proven their website was in the wrong they are ignoring my emails.

Absolutely fantastic venue for my daughter Hannah and now son in law George’s wedding. Mark, Magda, Emily and the whole KP team were brilliant. It surpassed anything we could have hoped for. Everything ran smoothly from the moment we were picked up in the decorated golf buggies to take us to the wedding venue right through to the wonderful firework display, everything was perfect. The food at the reception was excellent as was breakfast next morning. The rooms were spotless and it made the perfect wedding venue as our guests could all stay too. A huge thank you to Mark and the whole team. Five stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lovely resort and polite and helpful staff. Disappointed with accommodation as it's quite small with the tiniest window overlooking the car park. Considering we are in such a beautiful area I was looking forward to the views. We are here for 4 nights and feel I'm in a cave! We are In The Hockney.

We had our first night away alone in 6 years, was very well deserved and we were over the moon with this place! Complete relaxation and enjoyment. We stayed in The Huxtable suite, had best night's sleep in a long time and enjoyed relaxing in the Hottub. We had a 3 course meal in the restaurant which was gorgeous and then buffet breakfast in the morning which also didn't disappoint! Staff were very friendly and helpful! We're now thinking about having our wedding here in a couple years aswell as bringing our kids here for a getaway soon too!

Everything was perfect from the lodge to the restaurant & most importantly each & every member of staff were so welcoming & friendly.

Lovely place and staff couldn’t do enough for us. The room was lovely but there was an issue with the door handle and we were pretty much immediately relocated to another (more spacious too) room in the lodge next door. The reason I am writing this review is for the guy who came to look at the door and relocated us. He was fantastic and couldn’t do enough but sadly we didn’t get his name. It was on the Saturday afternoon and he even moved the cot and zed bed up a flight of stairs. He is a credit to KP and we can’t thank him enough.

Fab meal this evening — the black pudding & mustard mash that accompanied the pork is the best thing that's ever happened to a potato! Great staff helped with an already comfortable atmosphere and the layout made us feel safe enough to have a lovely birthday meal with all the covid-19 restrictions adhered to. Sufficiently spaced out with the restaurant team taking all the necessary precautions. Almost felt like the old 'normal' days! Thank you for making the evening so enjoyable.

Good golf course and friendly bar. Rooms very good.

Staff are really friendly and the hot tub, bathroom and room was immaculate and the bed was fresh and so comfy! definitely coming back soon.

In cafe I had a beef and horseradish sandwich which was very salty I didn’t really enjoy it at all.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, all so it was a bit overpriced.

Awesome burgers, awesome customer service and value for money. We popped in for burgers after the gym and got 2 special offer burgers. The helpful staff member asked the chef if he’d make a vegetarian burger as the offer didn’t include a vegetarian option. The chef promptly rustled up a fantastic falafel burger. We can’t recommend the food and service highly enough. Thanks for the great food and service KP club.

Brilliant, took my girlfriend on a last minute suprise birthday get away. Only went for a night however will no doubt return for longer next time, the lodge was excellent. Very modern and clean. Like to mention Kayleigh also on reception for getting our room sorted so I could earn some brownie points by getting the champagne, chocolate and the rose petals in the lodge before our arrival, which was also very last minute. So thank you again once for that.

Brilliant established place, with excellent accommodation and a fantastic golf course. Staff are second to none.

Lovely modern lodges in gorgeous surroundings and the hot tub a great bonus… would defo go again and recommend.

Excellent course … great food … beers a tad pricey tho.

My son and daughter in law got married here. The wedding was quite small but perfect in every way. The staff went above and beyond to make it all perfect. The wedding breakfast food was fab and so hot! Very unusual for events like this to have piping hot food.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The KP.

We had our wedding here and from the moment we enquired right through to after the wedding the staff have always been so friendly, helpful and accommodating. The venue itself is absolutely stunning and everyone went above and beyond to make sure the day was perfect for us. We highly reccomend here wether it's for a wedding, party, meal or just a break away thank you again for everything :) x.

Love this place. Especially since the refurb can't wait to get married here in August! UPDATE. Oh my God, the place was amazing they couldn't be more helpful. The lovely gent Mark who set up the rooms and introduced the speeches etc was beyond words. Couldn't have done it without him. The food was to die for and all the staff were fabulous really made the day magical!

We stayed here for a nearby wedding. It was very expensive and the room was very small. We were staying during the heatwave of Summer 2018 and when we got to our room (we didn't get into the room for the first time until night time because of the wedding) we were hit by a wall of heat. The heated towel rail had been on all day and had heated the tiny room to a ridiculous temperature. We turned it off immediately (which wasn't easy because the knob was incredibly hot) and opened the window as far as we could but the room remained very hot all night. We did complain and got an apology but that was all.

Visiting briefly since it's become the KP Club! Knew it when it was just the golf course but it's expanded and moved with the times. Much more than a golf club now so offers more facilities. Modern and well presented.

I visited KP Lodges for a hen weekend back in February 2018. It is a beautiful place with fantastic views; very relaxing and serine. The lodge itself was nice inside, comfortably sleeping 8 adults. The one we stayed in had 4 bedrooms offering both double and single beds and 2 bathrooms + an en suite in the master. The only fault was the shower breaking, but the front office sent someone out within half an hour to fix it. The hot tub was a great addition and so was the outside decking area. Especially because we had a view over the golf course, sitting outside and watching the sunrise in the morning was the highlight of my day. I would definitely recommend visiting KP Lodges, I'm hoping to go back in the near future.

5/5 all day long from me and my wife. My wife booked a lodge room for the night and we couldn't be any more happy. We turned up and they had pettles and bed decor on the bed. Nice touches. Food was to die for. I've never had a chocolate brownie that tasted so good. Starter and main didn't disappoint and very good for money. The window view while eating was really nice Bar staff, waiters and reception staff all very friendly, polite and well mannered. Accommodation — clean, tidy, welcoming and cosy. No complaints at all and will highly to recommend to family and friends. From someone who's self employed, and very opinionated, this place met all my expectations and more. If this was my business I'd be very proud of how this place is being run. Oh… And the hot tubs are fantastic. Loved it.

Beautiful setting for a wedding and the views are amazing. Considering weddings are mass catering events and sometimes the quality isn't that good, the food here was really nice! The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is there were often only 2 people serving a large wedding party so a lot of time was spent standing at the bar.

Accommodation was outstanding. A few issues with TV reception and door cards not working. Not as private around the hot tub as it could be.

Great place. Fab lodges. Foid lovely at the glasshouse restaurant. Hot tubs were great.

Lovely couple of hours at the KP this evening, we walked up with the dogs and enjoyed some evening sunshine. The bar man was really helpful and went and got the dogs a bowl of iced water! Beer and wine for me and the hubby… was a nice change and we forget it’s on our doorstep.

2 lodges booked for a girlie weekend. We were dissatisfied as the lodges had not been cleaned well. Lots of other complaints from the whole weekend which have been left for Management to address. Won't be going back.

Luxury lodges lacking luxury, checked in for one Sunday night, had a carvery for dinner no complaints at all beautiful food friendly staff very reasonably priced, the views and sights along with the sun was beautiful!
But… prior to travel We was informed via email that as we were booked in for food we would be able to get in the room that little bit early on showing the email, unfortunately we were told on arrival NO you can’t, then was told there was no car park spot for our lodge but other lodges had two spots but can’t use them (not 100% sure If all lodges around us was occupied! )
We were booked in the Huxstable suite and room was clean, hot tub was perfect and parshly private! Room smelt a little damp after we’d all had showers etc!
Information about the room wasn’t brilliant but basic! Wi-fi wasn’t great but not a massive issue!
Overall for what the cost is I don’t really think it’s worth the money there’s not a lot to do unless your soul point of visit is drink and hot tub! We had a nice stay don’t get me wrong but excepted a lot more!

Not a bad course, will be better when the trees mature. Nice club house, although the quality of the food has room for improvement.

Came here last week for the steak night, fantastically priced and tasted amazing. Service was great and a real nice atmosphere. Will definitely visit again.

Lovely lodges and surroundings, plus close you York, well worth a stay missed one star and we didn't know about all the facilities.

Visited for a wedding. As well as enjoying the beautiful views, meal and atmosphere I was very happy with how the staff went out of their way for me.
I was nervous about attending such a big event with a breastfed baby and feeding my baby around such a large group of people.
The staff allowed me to use one of the meeting rooms and ensured the room was private and I wouldn’t be interrupted.
Made a huge difference to the day and me and my baby girl were very comfortable.
Thumbs up, we’ll be back for an overnight stay.

We stayed in 4 bedroom lodge and it was fantastic! Great views across the golf course, hot tub, and loads of room for 8 adults. We're already looking to book for next year.

Still currently staying. Windows were dirty on arrival, Wi-Fi not working which has been reported but not fixed. However, the Lodge is absolutely stunning! Heated floor, shower's are powerful and easily controllable.

Overall impression is that I wouldn't choose to stay here again or recommend it. It's a beautiful location and really well appointed — the room was clean and pretty comfy as far as the bed was concerned, although the desk chair was impossible to sit on and the sofa bed seat was under the TV so it was not a place to be comfortable in for an evening. Confusingly it's not an hotel but all lodges as far as I could make out. Four rooms to a lodge. There is no room service and once the reception closes at 7ish, there's only the bar open which closes at 11pm. After that the whole site is on their own. There is a phone number to ring in emergencies but with dodgy cell signal this could be somewhat hit and miss. We were snowed out on Sat night and there was no one on site to help or advise. The breakfast on Sunday was atrocious. A buffet style flop! Disgustingly hard dry eggs and wet hash browns plus tea or coffee served from a flask (See pics). On both nights we stayed it seemed to have coincided with a hen weekend so they were shouting and singing at the tops of their voices till early hours and no one on site to help. Monday morning brought an improvement in the breakfast with a cooked to order menu. (See pics). The average age of the staff was about 18 and with one exception they had no idea about customer service. Oh, and despite what was advertised, I had to pay in full up front. No chance of a £15 refund for that breakfast then!

My wife booked this as a suprise as ive gone through a bad yr with illness we took our 2 12yr old boys and 2 yr old granson rang before we went to see if they had tv's in bedrooms they said DVD combines in every room only TV in master bedroom. We would have taken our own if they had said no they didn't have any they did sort one later that day. Master bedroom on suite smell was unberable they came out the shower drains were blocked. Exit door to hot tube did not lock from inside or out with a 2yr old and open fields and a driving range a woods straight out side the door which would not lock. Big problem they came and put a lock bar on made it secure then you could not open door as it was a solid lock that was a fire exit point. The manager spoke to my wife and said don't worry will give you an free up grade when you come again. Not a place if you have children aged 3 to 16 as they have a small slide and 2 swings they have a golf course and driving range and gym. I have now sent photos to hoseasons and they are taking this up with the company the other issues carpet on stairs all loose as them to provide a baby chair had to scrub it it was filthy windows filthy this was one of there best lodges. Over 700.00 for Monday to Friday stay stayed in far better only time we've had to complain in 10 yrs of using hoseasons.

Excellent stay, cabins really good but perhaps a little tired now hence the 4 stars. However would recommend.

Read previous reviews and had doubts, but had a very good lunch today. Fabulous views from the restaurant, great service, good menu choice and delicious, well cooked and presented food. Highly recommend.

The location and lodges are lovely, the restaurant is very disappointin.

Thoroughly enjoyable visit. The lodge was very good, although I thought a little tatty in places, perhaps in need of a slight refurb at some point. However, on the whole was very nice. Showers were hot and powerful. The hot tub was superb. Extremely well maintained (someone came every day). And it really made the holiday. The resort itself was lovely. Very nice bar area. We did the nature trail, but with it being Jan 1st, and we had several days of rain, was extremely boggy! The town of Pocklington is a 30 minute walk away, albeit along a narrow path next to a fast road. Again in the wet, this path gets boggy in places. York and all it's history is a short drive away. We used the park and ride service. On the whole, would definitely return, hopefully with better weather!

Golf facilities are brilliant. But if you want a meal be ready to eat cold food and wait an age for it to be put on the table. Other than that a pleasant setting and nice views.

Good location and facilities booked in today 13/10/17 and was locked out of the bedroom and could not get through on the phone to book a table in the restaurant. Went to reception and was a little disappointed by the ‘Fawlty Towers’ remark ‘It’s not the first time and it won’t be the last. ’ Some customer service training required I think?

Love the place but this visit yesterday’s visit was annoying. We stayed in the hot tub suite no 14 and whoever stayed above us must of been a family wearing cloggs. Till at least 1am sounded like Micheal flattly was dancing above us and to top it off Micheal was up at 5am still in his cloggs.
Restaurant was better this time apart from the kids that severe don’t know what there doing. Hi what beer on tap do you do?
Errrrr carlsberg and calling Ok ill have a carsberg, comes back oh we don’t do carsberg Then I assume she was restaurant manager recommended a import larger on tap that was spot on. Food was great too. Steak steak steak Poor breakfast tho beans where cold and new beans out was cold too. Don’t get me wrong the place is great we was just unlucky with flatley family above us.

We are staying for four nights. Very pleased with everything. 6 adults plus one toddler. Comfortable beds and nice kitchen. Very peaceful.

Just went to enquire about lodge holidays. Polite and attentive staff. A bit surprised that Hoseasons run the lodge holidays.

Really nice high class place. The lodges can be expensive but it's definitely worth a visit.

Stayed for a week. Staff lovely & friendly but we were a little disappointed with the standard of the accommodation upkeep as it let it down slightly. Some of the problems could have been down to the previous occupants not reporting any problems as when staff were told about them, those that could be remedied were attended to straight away.

Just got back from long weekend for my hen do. We stopped in an 8 person lodge and it was perfect, we all had a really good time.

Lovely setting for lodges, very quiet, with stunning views of the country side. Lodges are of incredible spec, including a hot tub. Food was great quality local produce, bar was well stocked with spirits and wines, but could benefit from some more local real / craft ales.

Excellent course, very challenging even though its a par 70, a good variety of holes, from a very short par 3, to monsterous par 5, and a couple of par 4 that will entice the big hitter's to go for the green's.!

I have dined here several times, and thought so highly of it I got married there! The food is excellent, the décor is modern, and the service is extremely efficient. I would absolutely recommend it.

This course stands out like a sore thumb, oozes quality, great pro shop, its like 5. Star quality in pocklington! The clubhouse is extremly cosmopolitan, superb, I been a member 3 years! I take friends-family, loved the whole experience! Try it!
