Went to a family wedding reception at Five ways pub. The staff was plesent. The pub needs seriously up dating it's got lights loose from the ceiling, holes in the sealing. Ladies toilet the door doesn't lock, the hand dryer was useless. You waited at least 10 min's to order a drink. I was trying to order cocktails and every one I asked for they told me that they can't do it as either the machine was broke or they didn't have the ingredients to make it. The toast drink was supposed to be prosecco it was certainly not prosecco, it was cheap and nasty. The lager was flat and disgusting. Paid for a 20 cups of coffee as some people dont drink and that never turned up. To top it off they booked the other room to a band so we could not hear our Dj. Now if your going to book a wedding reception and a band you would expect the room to be sound proof but not wasn't. We had the room till 1 am but everyone left as we couldn't even hear ourself think due to the band. I would certainly not be returning nor will I be giving recommendations for this place. I would save my money and go somewhere else!

We ordered a Christmas Dinner to our work. Can't have our usual party so got the party brought to us. Only a small team still at work but we had a great time. Heard about the Sunday dinners here and wasnt let down at all. Mouth watering Gammon, vegetables cooked perfectly l, beautiful mash and roasts, lovely gravy… definitely going again.

Been here for one night and the people here are fantastic I would highly recomend :)

Just been in and had a great Sunday dinner, friendly staff a nice pint what more do you need on a Sunday we’ll definitely be back again.

My wife and I visited Fiveways last night for the first time, and received a very warm welcome from the new landlord and landlady, and we enjoyed drinks and conversation and enjoyed the friendly atmosphere, we will be making it our new local.

Booked function room had a fantastic night for my wifes 50th.

Had a few beers with work mates over weekend decent pint cheap prices only bad thing was I had to keep playing pool as no 1 could beat me hahaha.

Down to earth friendly honest pub and people.

Lovely function room landlady and staff very pleasant.

Could do with a bit of a face lift, only been in once for a slimming world class as our normal venue was unailable, never saw any staff so can't really say how friendly the place is although it seems very popular with the locals.

Very poor quality rooms even looks dirty. This is certainly not a place to stay with the kids and mrs on a weekend break.

Ordered a carvery to be delivered today, came on time and was nice and hot!
Good selection of vegetables and the meat (gammon and turkey) was cooked to perfection, will definitely be ordering again soon xx.

Great local pub and good food.

Not bad but you will be asked for a spare cig … a few times…

Attended a 5yrs olds party — although quite chaotic (25+ kids) the venue put on a decent spread and entertainment. Parking it's limited, but t on street is possible.

We had my dawta B-Day party there staff was polite pub is clean and present really nice size room for party should give it a try.

The mixed grill, definitely value for money, meat cooked as requested, child friendly and great service.

Cheap no frills, comfortable bed, clean and tidy, kitchen had tea coffee etc which was handy.

The pub has friendly staff and and drinks were reasonably priced. We stayed upstairs in the hotel part of the business. The room we had was large with comfy beds and were clean (there was a bit of an odour). TV had more channels than some hotels. Shower room opposite was also clean and working but shower head needs descaling. Toilet also opposite our room was also clean, but toilet seat hinge was broken. Kitchen area again was clean but I was expecting a cooked breakfast to be provided. Maybe I didn't read the spec properly. Two cereals were available as was white bread for us to make our own roast. Marg and milk were left in the fridge. I think this is a contractors hotel so kitchen had stuff left in fridge and cupboards and it was not clear what we could use (milk and Marg obviously). We stayed Saturday night so we paid £75 for the 3 bed room. I perhaps should have checked Premier Inn and other chain hotels. So price wise I think it was over priced.
The hotel is on the main road into Hull so we could use Public Transport to go in and out of town centre. I think the owners could look to details to make this a more better value for money hotel.
One other point. We had the window open and the noise level was low, so that was good. No band was playing.

Have just had a surprise 60th party there. Michelle the landlady did a brilliant job as she always does. The buffet was lovely and plentiful and Steve and Michelle made our guests very welcome. I cannot recommend five ways enough as its worth going in just to meet the lovely hosts. The Sunday dinners are nice and big as well and at a good price. Thanks again Steve and Michelle you are stars.

Absaloutly fantastic landlord and landlady. Can't do enough for you when you need a last minute venue sorting. Nothing was for me to worry about just get myself there to remember my son on he's birthday last year will be back again definitely xxx.

Stayed a night at the five ways. Friendly staff. Reasonable price. Nice clean spacious room and good beer. Would definitely stay again.

Brilliant layed back friendly staff. Nice clean decent sized rooms with comfy beds above a friendly pub. For this affordable place I don't think u could go wrong. It's quick buss into city center and not far if u don't mind walking. Thanks to everyone at 5 ways.
