Unfortunately my whole family had a bad experience staying here following my daughter’s wedding at Oaklands which was perfect! My whole family stayed here and were up half the night searching for missing keys to the Bothy (Bridal Suite) which Burton Lodge had forgotten to leave out resulting in my daughter and son in law having to sleep on the floor in mother in laws room with 2 grandchildren aswell! Apologies were made and a refund (too right) were made for my daughter and her mother in law, but as every other family member had their night disrupted and no one got to bed until 3am due to trying to find the missing keys we feel we should all have been given a partial refund on our rooms. Also if owners phone had been turned on and we could have got in touch then maybe things could have been sorted. My daughter and son in laws wedding night was ruined! I could say a lot more but will leave it there! Not happy and will not be recommending this place.

We stayed in the Bothy a few week ago & had the best time! So many thoughtful extra little touches & the breakfast basket was perfect. We can't wait to come again! 💖

We had our small wedding reception here a couple of weeks ago and it was everything we could have imagined given the circumstances. Emma and the team were amazing, very accommodating and patient with the ever changing situation leading up to our wedding.
Our food at the reception was a 3 course meal which was amazing home cooked quality food with all our guests commenting on how amazing the food was.
We stayed overnight in the bothy which was clean, tidy and cosy. The hot tub was amazing too with the backdrop of light in the garden. Was perfect way to relax after such a wonderful day
We would definitely recommend for a wedding or even just to stay a night. We can’t wait to come again. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️

The Bothy Lodge was the perfect place to propose to my partner. A beautiful little country retreat with peace and quiet. The hot tub was relaxing and amazing, the staff were super friendly and helpful! Thanks for letting us stay, we will definitely be back.

Stayed in the Bothy lodge which was completely private and away from the main guest house — it was absolutely amazing and had its very own hot tub outside — had a really pretty pergola over the hot tub with fairy lights to add to to whole relaxed feel and kept the drizzle off us! The Bothy Lodge was super clean and warm and was lovely to have a fridge filled with complimentary goodies and a fabulous coffee machine also.
Just a short 10 min walk into Brandesburton for dinner on the evening and then breakfast was served the next morning in the main guest house which completed an absolutely fantastic weekend away — we will 100% be booking again in the very near future — cannot recommend this place enough — thank you for having us xxx.

Absolutely beautiful grounds, nice spacious clean rooms. Breakfast and hosts brilliant highly recommended we will be back in the future.

Stayed in the bothy a couple of weeks ago to celebrate our anniversary, was as lovely as I remembered, night of luxury and a lovely breakfast the next morning, no doubt we will be back again for another anniversary.

It is so relaxing and homely you always feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble bedrooms and food excellent.

A lovely hotel in a lovely location, set just along side the golf course. Very clean and comfortable. Various room options available and the staff are brilliant, they are so accommodating and go out of their way to help. Highly recommended.

Great room and beds, and a cosy shared livingroom. A bit warm in the bedroom, but with open windows easily cooled to ca 20 degrees.

We stayed in The Bothy last night, it was beautiful. We had the best time can’t wait to return in July on our wedding night. The owners were away, but the couple looking after it for the owners were lovely. They had warmed up the room and the hot tub for us so it was all toasty and warm. And the breakfast in the morning was delicious. Perfect night away xxxx.

Went here for the night after our wedding and also a year later for our first anniversary. We stayed in the Bothy, a little hobbit-style house, in the grounds of the hotel. It is a lovely lodge complete with hot tub, mini fridge, huge bed and its own little garden and decking area (complete with deck chairs) which we sat in during there morning whilst tucking into a delicious and lovingly-prepared breakfast hamper, containing assorted cheese, meats, breads and prosecco. I would highly recommend this place for something special; however, make sure to book well in advance as it is becoming increasingly popular. Finally, if stopping here, definitely walk down the road to Bert's Pizzeria for a lovely lakeside meal.
