A lovely staff member named Kevin was the only pleasurable part of our stay. The room we stayed in had dead bugs in the lights, spiders and cobwebs everywhere, mould all around the bathroom, including on the shower curtain and overall it was very disappointing for £150 per night. Will not be returning.

Would highly recommend the roundabout hotel, we had our wedding there on the 7th august 2021 and had an amazing day. The staff where all incredibly kind patient and resourceful, from sourcing replacement name cards for the table at short notice to mending the brides hoop on her wedding dress (elenor) Fabulous venue. Special thanks to elenor and elen.

Wonderful dinner, the Afters were to die for. Excellent service and reasonable pricing. Highly recommended for couples who just want to break away and spend time together!

Faultless service and fantastic food, returned here after a gap of many years for our silver anniversary and had nothing to complain about. The atmosphere and surroundings are perfect.

Staff great, but food average needs some thought. The presentation is lovely but the actual food is sadly not cooked well. Our room is great but not worth what we paid. We would stay again. But that is maiy because of
the excellent level of service.

Beautiful hotel, rooms are just amazing! If you get a chance to stay in the Bridal Suite you must do it as it is outstanding. Staff are fantastic and can't do enough to make sure your stay is perfect. The new manager is doing an amazing job, very friendly and professional. Beautiful peaceful pub garden with very comfortable seating. Thank you so much for a perfect night away!

We had afternoon tea and everything was perfect. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff looking after us. My friend is a fussy eater and they changed the sandwiches to meet her preferences. The fire was lit and helped create the perfect atmosphere for us. All of the food is homemade and this really made a difference when we started to tuck in to the plentiful cakes. We had a good choice of teas and were constantly asked if we wanted more of anything. It was a wonderful way to enjoy a couple of hours and I would highly recommend you give it a try.

The hotel was gorgeous I really enjoyed my stay. Staff where very friendly and welcoming. The food was very delicious too. Will definitely recommend to friends and family and would love to go back soon.

Got married here 30yrs ago and returned for an anniversary dinner with friends. Unfortunately left very disappointed! Although staff were very friendly the food was not what you would expect. After dinner went to the bar while waiting for taxi and was told bar was closed? 10.30! Won’t be returning.

Great place to stay with individual cottages as rooms. Characterful place. Great breakfast in the garden. Wagner in Madrid was here.

My wife and I were guests for our friend's 70th birthday celebration. The sandwiches and canapés were excellent. The refreshments were plentiful. The staff were very accommodating. The grounds were perfect for a family celebration from children to great grandad.

Mixed experience under the previous management. Friday lunch was excellent but a few weeks later an evening meal was not to the same standard. Bar is very quiet and lacking atmosphere but I hope the new management will turn this around.

Haven’t had food here but popped in for a drink a few times. Lovely helpful staff and good drinks, but it’s really the ambiance, decor and cosy higgledypiggledy of this place that wins out.

Beautiful hotel tucked away in fabulous surroundings. Welcoming staff who could not do enough for us. Loved the food, best fish and chips I have ever tasted. I can't wait to come back again soon.

I was surprised by my husband, for a Valentine's present. We had the Briar Rose cottage; it was beautiful. Quaint, atmospheric a truly quintessential English retreat. With some great little touches to make it a very special stay. Additionally, for the cost, the restaurant was priced very reasonably. We can't wait to return and we highly recommend it.

Bedroom a little dated but conformable enough. Meal in evening very nice. The Beef was wonderful, best I've ever eaten. Absolutely no phone signal so make all your calls before you arrive.

Nice quaint hotel, with a lovely sitting area and good bar with a happy hour. The food has lessened somewhat in portion size although the price is not extortionate, this is in regards to the steak burger. Breakfast needs to be nore substantial. Rooms are comfortable and warm.

Absolutely beautiful place. The staff where very polite, helpful and accommodating. We had an evening meal of steak and a dessert the following morning we had breakfast all of which where exceptional. Loved the room (bride suit) spotlessly clean, with a large and comfortable bed. Would certainly recommend.

Enjoyed a lovely meal in very cosy surroundings. Lovett waitress Evie and can particularly recommend the rum n raisin brulee!

Great hotel, it's our 2nd stay, 1st stay was honeymoon, loved it so much we had to come back, great room, staff and food.

Nice hotel good bar and restaurant friendly staff rooms ok only criticism bathrooms not great and shower unit very poor.

Stayed here over the August Bank Holiday as we were attending a wedding at Cissbury Barns. The hotel was beautiful and its location was perfect. Our room was stunning and comfortable and the staff very attentive. Breakfast was plentiful and quality of products used was of a very high standard. We also had lunch and dinner, again the food was delicious. The sun shone so we made good use of the lovely garden and patio area. If I was in the area again I definitely would book in here again.

Bit out the way if your doing the South Downs Way. Bit of the old style charm. More business hotel than leisure I would say. Fairly basic bedrooms though room size fairly big.

Lovely hotel. Good friendly staff and plenty of them. Nice rooms. Super toiletries. Just a few too many stairs for old folks and way out of town if coming by train.

Only visited briefly but it seemed very nice with a quaint ambiance. They served a very nice finger buffet with home made sausage rolls that were excellent.

Fantastic overnight stay for our 29th wedding anniversary, we were warmly welcomed and informed we'd been upgraded! Beautiful room, absolute luxury — made our celebration all the more special. The staff are so friendly & accommodating. We weren't able to take advantage of the restaurant as our family had made other arrangements for us but if the full English breakfast was anything to go by, I've no doubt the other meals would be high quality. Thanks again to all at The Roundabout Hotel — most definitely recommend and plan to revisit.

We had heard good things about The Roundabout and were invited to join friends so were looking forward to our meal. The wait staff were excellent in every way, the ambience is attractive but, alas, there were a few faults. I ordered fish and chips (surely a pub staple that you would expect them to get right) but the chips were soggy and the batter round the fish thick and hard. Afterwards we had coffee and my Americano decaf was tasteless and it wasn't hot.

Great food, good value in a nice setting.

This hotel was fantastic. We were there for one night and the staff were all incredibly helpful and friendly, they went out of their way to try and find us a taxi and help with anything we needed. Breakfast was included in the room and the food was really nice, everything was thoroughly cooked and served hot, they also had toast and cereals. The hotel is gorgeous, the photos don't do it justice, our room was a very good size, the bed was very comfy and we enjoyed a drink in their garden when we checked out. 10/10 definitely recommend.

Absolutely beautiful place, rooms massive and warm (we went in December), the food exceptional and the staff very welcoming and attentive. I would definately recommend this hotel and am looking forward to going back again.
