Food and service great! fresh decor. Comfy rooms.

We stayed overnight on the way to Goodwood Festival of Speed. An early start meant we didn’t try the breakfast but dinner the evening before was delicious. Exceptional service and friendliness. Our four poster room was fabulous, the bed very comfy and the bathroom spacious and well equipped. Everywhere very clean. Would highly recommend.

This hotel is one of those places that is a nugget of pure gold. Beautiful surroundings, beautiful rooms, hugely thoughtful team of staff and incredible food. We have both had a very special time, thank you all so much for making our 20th wedding anniversary so magical ❤

Stayed at this lovely hotel for business staff/owners very welcoming, food is to a very high standard as are the rooms and decor. Highly recommend. We will visit again.

Beautiful hotel inside and out. The twin room was lovely and very clean with a modern bathroom. The large shower meant I could help my mum in the mornings. The food was spectacular, particularly recommend the Eton Mess!
What makes this hotel what it is, is the absolutely wonderful staff that really made our stay a real home from home. My mum was having a wobbly day (dementia) and we were really looked after by Jackie. I can’t thank her enough, she was really amazing and she went above and beyond the whole stay. All of the staff we met were so friendly and attentive and would highly recommend staying here for that genuine homely feeling.

We had our sons naming ceremony at Random hall in March and from start to finish the day was lovely. The staff were all really helpful, the food was lovely and our guests all thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Beautiful venue and especially cosy with the inglenook fireplace.

Had an amazing weekend here for my mum and step dads wedding on the 16/03/19 and the random hall staff couldn’t have made it any more perfect for all of us. Would highly recommend from food to bar staff to rooms to hotel staff, all amazing!

We were lucky enough to find this little gem for our wedding on Saturday 16th March 2019. Could not recommend enough. Jackie, Kate and all the staff were amazing, no request was too much trouble for them, right from the initial planning, and the day itself was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Our family totally took over the whole place for the weekend, and everyone said how lovey the venue was. The perfect wedding venue, 5 stars all the way. Felt like we had made new friends, and we will be going back for meals and nights away at every available opportunity. Thank you for making our big day so special xxx.

Drinks are well over price, the rooms are okay but the walls are so thin u can here people under and next your room, the food was okay. Stayed in better hotels.

Went to a function at the Random Hall Hotel and it was an excellent afternoon. The service was excellent and the cream tea was delicious. Absolutely faultless and the building is beautiful to boot!

As I was told, the ownership changed three months ago (which would be March 2018). Very friendly atmosphere. Family led. Charming old building with newer extensions. Some rooms are currently under renovation. However, I would not accept such details as missing door knobs, broken sink covers, extremely loud bathroom fan etc. — things that could be fixed without much effort. Room was nice, but walls are thin. Even worse, there is not much footfall sound insulation to the guest room above — depending on the other guests this can become most noisy.

The building has loads of character, really cosy atmosphere between the bar and restaurant. Nice outside spaces and the new rooms look amazing.

Absolutely amazing food. Staff are warm and welcoming. Service is second to none. Book the 4 poster room asap.

We stayed only one night and very much enjoyed the warm hospitality and the puddings are to die for. Random Hall is going thru revamp and indeed the rooms are small and need some update but this is part of the charm of an old country inn. The only gripe was a group of rather prickly OAPs who tried to push us out from the public bar by loudly screeching that they had "an exclusivity". Frankly they were a disgrace … notwithstanding we will be back.

WOW! Random Hall. I would recommend it to anyone! Kate, Richard, Jackie and the rest of the team have been amazing. I visited Random Hall 8 month before the Hen Do and fell in love with the place and booked straight away! The booking process was easy and communication via email and phone was great. The afternoon tea was delicious — sandwiches. Scones and cakes. With lots of tea and coffee! They also catered for some of the girls that required gluten free. We had canopies and 2 courses for dinner. The food and service were great! Please pass on our thanks to the chef! Again, catered for the gluten free! We then had all evening in the venue room. Please see photo attached! It was stunning. The bedrooms were great, comfy and rooms were quiet. We booked all the rooms so was only us staying. Breakfast was again, yummy! Full English Breakfast all round! I can’t thank you enough for such a wonderful evening. I shall definitely be returning!

Great service and lovely food but small portions… hoped to fill up on cheese and biscuits after the tiny Ribeye Steak and a sprinkling of chips but the cheese board was a small plate…

Really lovely Sunday meal with a group. NIgel was very helpful sorting a menu for us and food was very good. Thank you for a good celebration meal :-)

Just got back from a lovely afternoon tea at Random Hall. We were made to feel very welcome and were seated in front of an open fire. We had a delicious selection of sandwiches, cakes and scones with clotted cream. A lovely experience, thanks!

Over priced considering the size of the rooms, unfortunately we were unable to eat here due to the restaurant being closed unexpectedly at 7pm on sat, would have been sensible to mention this when we arrived as after checking in at 5pm we decided to have an (exceptionally overpriced) drink in the lounge, then upon moving through and asking if we could eat to be told with NO apology that there was no food on that evening. So we had to eat elsewhere, in a very nice pub just down the road. To be honest the only saving grace and the reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because of the morning staff and the breakfast, very good and attentive.

Loved my stay, owners provided brilliant entertainment, very welcoming, lovely location.

Stayed here last night lovely friendly place and thank you for the lady who gave me all the cuttings of the herbs in the garden they arrived at my home smelling lovely will be using some of them tomorrow will defo be staying there again.

Visited to look to book for an event with friends. Arrived earlier than table was booked… Building is lovely but internally is looking tired, especially the high traffic areas like toilets etc. Bar staff were less than helpful. Unable to provide anything other than flat, expired (by the waitresses' own admission), normal Coke despite a diet being ordered. When ordering a bottle of malbec from the wine list, we were met with 'red wine, yeah? ' prior to our meal. Indicative of the overall experience to be honest. Food was nice enough, limited choice despite the website, and minimal hosting by staff. We decided to go elsewhere for a dessert and coffee as we felt the money could be better spent! Overall disappointing and frustrating. The place has potential and despite visiting with the owner knowing we were looking to book a couple events, we felt, we were overlooked and, the potential booking unappreciated. Improvement required to match the appearance protrayed on their website and Facebook.

Nice friendly welcome. Arrived late but they still went out of there way to cook for us. Would stay again.

Recently held our marriage celebration at Random Hall. We chose the venue because we had the entire venue to ourselves, it had different rooms and areas for guests to sit and socialise and the wedding package they provide helps to take some of the stress out of organising a wedding. One of the main reasons for choosing the venue was the wedding coordinator, Jackie. She was knowledgeable, calm, helpful and generally rather lovely. Jackie is definitely an asset to Random Hall. Be mindful of the fact that the bar itself is quite small so getting drinks may take some time. Overall I would recommend anyone with a 50 — 60 day guest wedding party to visit the venue and see what they think. Thanks to Jackie and the whole Random Hall team for their hard work and service.

A lovely venue, charming building and good quality food. The bar is a little small but then again probably big enough for residents and small functions. The toilets certainly need attention though. They were clean and well stocked by the decor is very out of date and not in line with the rest of this building. Even a lick of magnolia paint would freshen the toilets up and would be a vast improvement. No douby the owners would prefer one day to start again but until that time the toilets do need to be decorated. All in all a good venue and if I'm ever back in this area I'd visit again.

The staff at this hotel are pleasant enough. It's such a shame that the rooms are beautiful but just not clean. A light blue stained carpet is a bit off putting in room 13. My colleagues and I were quite disappointed at the lack of available hot water, 2 mornings I had to have a cold shower and despite mentioning this on the first night, it wasn't resolved. Little things would really help this hotel, a duster in the rooms, a lick of paint and change flickering light bulbs would be a great start. I would go back but would really like hot water next time!

Met in the restaurant as part of a party of five. Everyone was very satisfied with the food and service. Reasonably price too. Would recommend.

Fantastic, home from home, I stay away with work often and this has been my favourite hotel. The staff really looked after me. Room cosy and lounge like being at home — without kids hassling me! Food lovely. Highly recommended.
