Amazing place staff are very helpful.

I recommended the facial treatment, it’s really good. Food it’s great. Shame that they don’t provide extra robes as mine was completely wet, ended up changing to my own clothes and also changing area and toilets are tiny for the amount of people that uses the facility.

My partner surprised me for a birthday weekend, staff were lovely and really polite, food was amazing, spa and treatment really made it. The venue has so much history, the grounds are beautiful and we were put in the Queen Victoria room which was really big and really cosy. To top this weekend off, when my partner and I were the only ones in the lounge area he got down on one knee and proposed to me. I would recommend this hotel for anyone that wants to feel relaxed.

The place is like an old folks home! The massage was mediocre. The food was not fine dining.

Had a lovely morning visiting the spa and then afternoon tea. Nice facilities and friendly staff. Food was nice and coffee and juices by the pool were ideal. Would revisit again.

Lovely day spent at the Spa. Very relaxing and luxurious Facial treatment. Relaxing time spent at the pool with a Sauna and Steam, then on to an absolutely lovely Afternoon Tea. A lovely day and experience.

First visit today, had afternoon tea…it was lovely, fresh sandwiches, warm scones & delicious cakes, friendly & helpful staff too.

Not a spa, chilly school pool, small steam room, small sauna, 7 relax beds, felt cold and staff just shrugged it off, lovely pool side view of bins and dirty laundry. However, treatments were good as were treatment staff. Wouldn't go back.

I had an awful experience a few years ago. They said they would give me an apology offer and never did so will do what I said I would and leave a truthful review. I had booked the only time I have even booked myself and a friend a relaxing spa day. Bought the most expensive to include everything. I had lost my mother to cancer and been working so hard and also wanted to treat my friend who also came to visit for the day. Well. The day did nit go as planned. We were mucked about with what 3 treatments we wanted around our lunch. They had reserved a table (which was actually ours) moved seating 3 times until they realised it was ours! then they tried to half our lunch menus because we then couldn't book the treatments we wanted because they had mucked up our table and then times! before the sweet menu I had had enough, was stressed, and told them how upset they made us both feel. They had said how sorry they were but then made me go through the ringer on a complimentary spa that then never happened. was a lovely venue but far from relaxing! I have never had a spa break since!

We had our wedding at frimley hall on the 30th October. The staff were amazing, especially Contantine who looked after us on our day. The food and service were outstanding. We had the best day ever and I want to do it all over again.
Our room was gorgeous and everyone said how nice the hotel was and everyone really enjoyed the day.

Just returned from spending a night at this lovely hotel. Lovely spa and treatments with a large swimming pool and steam and sauna rooms. Thoroughly enjoyed the food at dinner and breakfast. Definitely recommend. Will be returning.

High tea £25 each very poor quality rock hard scones, very salty sandwiches, 9 finger sandwiches and 6 small scones and very soggy passion fruit squares, It appears that they could have been frozen and defrosted but water has seeped to the bottom of the cake soggy and horrible.

We had a afternoon tea here in a very tired room dust on the window sill with dead flies on it looking out onto the car park not much atmosphere. Tea was very nice but was also charged service charge with no option.

Lovely space with super friendly staff. As a wedding videographer I have shot a few weddings @ Frimley Hall Hotel and can't wait to shoot here again. Highly recommend if you are looking for a venue in the area, great location with amazing facilities x

This hotel is beautiful inside and out, the staff were very helpful to us all that attended an ambassador photo shoot, the after noon tea we had was delicious and to such a high standard!

Had my daughter wedding there on 19/10/2019 saturday. The staff was all helpful and happy to help with any questions I had. The manager Pete was great help he made the day go well. Yes. I would recommend the hotel. Many thank father off the bride.

A brilliant place to and shut out the world. The grounds are stunning, the staff are excellent, the rooms are lovely and the beds are the comfiest I’ve ever slept in! We had a lovely 3 course meal with desserts sent up to our room to finish the evening. I had a full body massage before leaving today which was a definite 10/10. The spa is also really relaxing and everything in both the spa and hotel was extremely clean. Will definitely be returning x.

Go for the grounds, service, and location, but dont go for food or beverage. Poor food, expensive drinks, but the front of house team really try and help out. 10 out of 10 for the foh team. Food sadly lacking.

I went here with my husband as a Wedding Present.
It was beautiful, the treatment was amazing and I felt so relaxed.
We had lunch in the hotel and the food was perfect and all hot. The drinks were a bit strong but no complaining here.

Went for a spa day. Staff were lovely very attentive, had lovely massage and facial. My mum who has mobility problems was pleased there was a lift and disabled changing facilities but access to the pool is only via steps which made it very difficult for access. Please look at this. Also no call bell at shower end of disabled changing and shower seat angled downwards andeasyvto slip off.
Had a nice meal in the lounge afterwards but sorry didntthink much of the creme brulee.

Hi Iain, Thanks for taking the time to respond. My stay wasn't great. Firstly, parking wasn't easy as it was very busy, so not a good start. Then when I called down to get someone to sort out the thumping in the attic space, nobody came. I called again, still nobody showed up. As for the room, sliding glass cupboard door wouldn't slide as the runners were broken. On a positive note, the burger was good, and the girl in the bar was very helpful. But the rest made it painful.

Kayleigh who was predominantly working on the main hotel bar served me and my partner with a really beautiful presence. We could tell instantly she cared about the services she provided and this instantly made us feel welcome and valued as customers. She was cheerful, helpful and went well out of her way to ensure not only us but the other parties around us were happy and looked after. She is a credit to your company and to discover she is a very new employee was a shock; watch this space and I hope one day she will be inspiring the teams and running operations at your business. The wedding breakfast and reception for our youngest daughter was laid on and managed here yesterday. We had booked more than 40 bedrooms as well. The event was not only wonderfully catered and decorated but all the staff were wonderful, dealing with our multicultural families and guests with much kindness and patience. Nothing was too much trouble, from the reception staff to the waiters and most of all the master of ceremonies. It is the staff and grounds that really make this a great venue. The spa is an added benefit.

Don't expect much. The original building is beautiful with small grounds. However the rooms are dated, not classy. Breakfast was satisfactory, but anything else on their menu was poor. Their priority is as a wedding venue not a hotel, so don't expect much. Let's end on a positive. The spa was clean, with a pool, sauna, steam room, gym, and good changing rooms. If you want a hotel go elsewhere, if you want food go elsewhere, but come here for mediocre spa.

Lovely staff and quality facilities. However it does lack all the facilities in comparison to other spas. Although this is of course a Hotel first with spa facilities. I went for a massage and facial which was superb as an afternoon treat.

Overall nice place, great food and eye catching surroundings. The dinner was nice, along with the breakfast. The only let downs were I felt the pool area was quite cramped, there wasn't much room to walk around the pool, without bumping in to other guests chairs and sun beds. There seemed to be a large wedding booking, which meant it was quite busy. Which is fair enough, but it seemed that the staff were flustered and overwhelmed with the demand. This meant delays at breakfast getting the food out, complications at dinner with agreed booking times and delays getting food out for dinner. To be honest, we got lucky, because these delays did not affect us as much, but judging by the feedback from other guests it was obvious it was a problem. With that being said, I had a great nights stay, enjoyed the food and I'll happily rate it and consider returning one day in the future.

From the day we booked our wedding nearly 2 years ago up until the very end of our wedding Friday Evee and the team were incredible, our day was perfect and chilled — it was exactly how we wanted it to be we can not thank you all enough for helping create our special day!

Good weekend spent with friends but poor service.

Nice Hotel and staff. Very poor Spa. Good points; Lovely food, rooms, surroundings and reception staff. Bad points; very slow service at bar and restaurant. Very bad was the Spa management / staff, which left my wife in the waiting room and eventually not receiving her booked treatment, but giving her a reduced time alternative treatment, which was 'horrible' in her words and made her come away crying (a hard back massage, when she had requested a light one). Will not be going again.

I attended a business workshop at the hotel. The function room was well appointed. Tea, coffee, lunch and dinner were provided to fit our schedule. An over head projector and power strip were setup when we arrived. The staff were all friendly and helpful. A hot buffet lunch was provided in one if the dinning rooms. There was a nice selection and everything seemed freshly prepared. Dinner was from a set menu chosen before the day. There was a little confusion with our order being mixed up with another dinning room but once the staff resolved that confusion the evening went smoothly. All the food was excellent. The hotel offers accommodation, pool, spa and gymnasium but I did not get to try these as I was not staying.

We got Married here on the 27th of August 2017. It was the best day ever, and the weather was so hot. All of our guest enjoyed themselves.
Evee was our wedding coordinator and she was fantastic from the beginning to the end. All the staff are all very helpful on the day of our wedding, Paul was a brilliant master of ceremonies. Paul you made us all laughed.
All of our guest love the food compliments to the chefs The setting and surrounding of Frimley McDonald Hotel is beautiful and peaceful, I can highly recommend this place for weddings and parties. A lovely spot for a weekend getaway. Bath robes are the uniform of choice! The spa is nice, but doesn't have a jacuzzi. Really nice restaurant and bar — even if they say it's fully booked you can normally get a table if you walk in. Finally, if you get bored, it's not far from Camberley town, which has a few decent shops, bars and restaurants to escape to.

Beautiful place with character. Old building but it seems well maintained. Location is not great unless you drive or take a taxi.

I purchased this spa experience for my wife as a surprise chill out day, all I can say was a complete disappointment. If I’d been rating the Spa experience, I would of struggled to give it a one star rating as our local leisure provides better and working facilities. The two essentials my wife was looking forward to was the sauna and a jacuzzi or hot tub to relax in. We turned up to find the sauna out of order and a very average steam room which could do with being scented as was not particularly pleasant, the pool to cool to lounge in and that’s it. The only reason for giving it two stars was the Prosseco and afternoon tea was quite nice. So overall a last minute deal seemed a waste of money, I don’t like giving poor reviews but with not even a mention of the sauna not working at time of booking or upon attending spa reception was very poor customer service.

I arrived early and unannounced on a cold and snowy morning. There was already a fire lit in the entrance hall and staff were friendly and helpful. If using satnav, check the destination looks correct on the map. The post code I entered took me to the wrong entrance so I had to drive around several blocks to find the correct one.

Nice hotel, clean comfortable rooms and great food. The staff were friendly and made a good impression. However the drinks prices were high (£33 for two double spirits and mixers! And over £4 for a tea) which is the only negative aspect of the stay.

We had a lovely day at the spa at this hotel. We each had an hour's treatment and could choose from a good range. The staff were lovely and couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. We finished off with a wonderful cream tea in the very elegant hotel.

Well what can I say… we got married yesterday (23/02/2018) & it was the best day of our lives, not only because we got married but because we got married at the Macdonald Frimley Hall Hotel. The staff here were amazing, Evee went above & beyond & is a real credit to the hotel, she made everything so much easier for me & reassured me every step of the way. This place is truly magical, everything about it was beautiful, everyone commented on how beautiful this place is, its …perfect for your wedding. The food was out of this world & again everyone commented on how lovely the food was. We cannot thank you enough for your hospitality & the events team you really did us proud… especially Evee, Jorge & Dragos who even danced with us in the evening. There was only one downfall… we didnt like the pilllows & were too tired to ring down & ask for different ones but thats our fault haha. Thank you so so much & we'll be back again.

Would go again in a heart beat. One of the best evening meals I have had in a long time. Clean and comfortable rooms and a beautiful quiet location. Some confusion on the bill on checking out but apart from that flawless.

Friendly staff, comfy room but couldn't turn the heating down in our room. Limited selection on the evening menu but had one of the best steaks ever! Yum yum! Very busy at breakfast. Not the best selection but staff found us a nice table and did their best to keep food hot and replenished under high demand and turn over. Fabulous full body massage and use of the pool and steam room & sauna. Would come again for some r&r.

We celebrated a birthday party here for my wife in late 2017. The whole experience was excellent in every way. After a smooth, easy, check-in we all spent some time in the pool with the children. They enjoyed splashing about, and building a raft from the provided flotation tubes. The facilities for wheelchair users could not be better, the best I have ever seen. After drying and changing it was time to eat! The meal was served to us in the very elegant, but not too expensive "White Room". The waiters/waitresses were clearly professionals, and at the same time cheerful and friendly. The food arrived promptly and everything was cooked to perfection. It was delicious. Thank you Chef (s). The desserts were exquisite and definitely not to be missed! We later gathered in another of Frimley Hall's many meeting/conference rooms and rounded off the evening with drinks brought to us there by the ever attentive bar staff. I firmly recommend Frimley Hall Hotel for any occasion.

Went to a friend's wedding. Staff were really good and excellent with my small son when he was wondering around the place. Beautiful location.

Went there for a wedding breakfast in December. The venue was beautiful with fantastic Christmas decorations in the main entrance. The stairwell was also fantastic for wedding photos. The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall a great experience would highly recommend.

These guys went above and beyond to rectify an initial hiccup with an anniversary booking. The leisure manager was very responsive with emails. The spa treatments are a great addition to the hotel, food is tasty and staff are polite and friendly. Our rooms on both visits, were comfortable and warm, the second particularly spacious. Thank you.

Bed was mega com. Had to change room as fans outside were way too loud. Shower was faulty in second room. Good fresh breakfast. Bar price not too bad, place could do with a bit of tlc. Paint and decorating. Not too bad.

Grounds were nice, parking was limited and ended up on the local road. Room was far too hot, whilst it had air con it didn't cool during the winter months, was however provided with a fan which helped. The cooked breakfast was far below what I expected and ended up leaving most of it, very limited staff so didn't bother telling anyone. Leisure facilities were fine, we enjoyed those for the couple of hours we used them for. I did find the drinks prices a tad higher than I'm happy with and found it rather cheeky that they had a credit card fee… overall in my opinion it doesn't warrant the 4* it has.

This is great looking hotel and spa location. We only used it to attend fund raising event, and the space was what you expect from a traditional English country hotel. The food although a tasty was minimal and could leave you wanting more to eat. The Lamb shoulder is very tender. Although we didn't attend the spa it's obvious the swimming pool is visible from the car park — not sure I would want to relax by the pool. Staff were friendly polite and helpful.

This place was a big disappointment. While the building is beautiful everything else was awful. The bedroom was not clean, even got a bed bug bite. The bathroom shower head was broken and the water temperature couldn’t be adjusted. The restaurant food was terrible and over priced as for the restaurant staff they were inattentive and disorganised, worst service to date. This place needs a good detergent clean, new management and a full re-decorating. I will not be recommending or returning. Don’t waste your money.

Rooms were a bit on the small side. Service was very slow. The spa consisted of a pool, sauna and steam room which was disapointing. The evening meal and breakfast was nice, however dinner took 2.5 hour's as the service was so slow. The coffee was not good either. A friend ordered a special coffee which was definitely instant and not proper cream for £6.50 I think. The bar menu was also very limited. We ordered a plate of chips and got 8 chips. We will not be going back. The girl who did my massage was very good.

Lovely place and grounds, booked with secret escapes only was told to book a spa treatment 48 hours beforehand, when I phoned to book 3 days before there was nothing available, room was cold and heating didn't really work and very disappointed with breakfast, was cold and felt rushed, my partner got up to get some sausages as there was none available the first time round, when he came back a waitress had taken his plate with half his breakfast still on it, ordered drinks for room service only to be charged £5 so watch out but on a plus side the swimming pool and sauna was nice with towels and gowns provided.

Small but lovely hotel grounds. Adequate parking for a non weekend stay, but not sure if there was a weekend wedding function on. Check in was smooth friendly and efficient. Room was very good and breakfast was excellent. About 45-55 minutes to airport, depending on traffic.

Beautiful location, great views from the front building. Great choice of suites and attentive staff (when you can find them). Perfect place for a wedding or a quiet getaway. Didn't get to see the spa in action but can't wait to get in there on my next visit.

Comfortable night's sleep except the constant running water sound. No idea where from. The bed was comfortable and it's very clean. Breakfast was nice but the best bit about this hotel are the staff. Lovely people.

I attended a wedding here, such a quiet location considering there's a main road not far and the entrance is at the end of a residential road. The grounds are beautiful, felt secluded with all the trees around the edge. The hotel itself is stunning inside and out. Quite modern in decoration on the inside, bedrooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. I also met family here for early dinner from their light snack menu — you really get a decent amount of food for a snack. It was delicious. The service was faultless.

Lovely 2 days only down side the menu was poor when you have booked evening meal you don't expect to pay £3 £5 or more extra for half the choices on all 3 courses and when staying 2 nights you don't expect the same menu apart from 1 dish. The food was good just not good enough menu come on at your prices you can do better.

Went for afternoon tea on Sunday. Was not overly busy, and was a beautiful day. Drinks take a little While to come out but nothing major, very tasty cocktails though. Menu's had a luxurious look to them. Main afternoon tea was lovely but the gluten free one was lacking in flavour. The scones were a bit too salty from excess baking powder/bicarbonate of soda. Nevertheless everything else was great and the staff were lovely. Would I recommend, definitely. Would I recommend for gluten free? Perhaps, but maybe they had a little disaster in the kitchen regarding gluten free this time.

Lovely hotel and grounds. Friendly and helpful staff. Stayed over bank holiday weekend which meant it was very busy, no room at restaurant that night and breakfast very busy the following morning. Spa and pool area very nice and over lunch time on our day of arrival very quiet. Would stay again.

Layout of the spa rection could be better as it's tight by the changing rooms but other than that the spa in genreal is 10/10

Beautiful interior, stunning wood decor and furnishings. My family and I came for a murder mystery weekend and absolutely loved it! The rooms are very nice, bed are comfortable. There are all the services you would expect and more. There is a nice spa, swimming pool and gym that is included with your night stay. Apart from a "poached" Salmon dish, that was clearly just a roll of raw salmon which was nice if your expecting sushi and not poached salmon. The food was extremely good! The high tea is strongly recommended and breakfast was full of great pastries and a full English. I would definitely come again!

Excellent! The staff were attentive and had excellent attention to detail. The restaurant manager was amazing and arranged a special wine for me based on my menu choice. The rooms were plush and it's beautifully set in lovely surroundings. Altogether a beautiful stay and great service!

Firstly I have an issue with the hotels website tempting you with much nicer rooms and discount codes which you eventually realise are non existent. How do I put this, once we arrived at the reception the staff simply had no idea what they're doing. They didn't really understand we had a reservation didn't understand the reservation was booked online and couldn't really use the hotels computer system. Once they finally figured it out, they then requested a larger deposit in case you decided to buy something while you're in the hotel. (Really? You have taken my card details to secure the booking online already) At this point we requested information about what treatments were available at the spa, but it seems the hotel is not connected and the two systems do not meet (really in this day and age) they eventually said they could call the spa once they could get use of the phone. Although the outside of the hotel looks nice in it's strange tiny plot surround by residential houses and the constant hum of the M3, they do seem to again be cheating you about the fact that most of the rooms are not in the main building. You realize you are in a tacked on basic council block of rooms which remind you of a premier inn crossed with the movie the shining. We opted for the more expensive room called the club classic which could not have been smaller as I squeezed passed the table by the rather small double bed. I cannot imagine what the standard room must be like.

Log l really nice hotel, rare to get a comfortable bed in a hotel but we did :) food was nice and staff were friendly.

Our room was perfect but I know a lot of the other guests room were really hot and the hotel could not do anything about it which ruined the experience for them. Also the bar was rather expensive but didn't bother us as we weren't drinking alcohol.

Had a truly amazing and relaxing time here. Beautiful old English looking building and decor. Spa facility attached. Great food and within a few minutes driving distance to the local shopping centres.

I loved the spa at the frimley hall hotel, and the evening meal afterward was also great, ans the location was beautiful but breakfast in the morning was a problem. It was cold and the servers did not pay enough attention to see that we were not satisfied and also the 5 of us were squeezed onto a small tablebwhen we could see other big tables were not being used.

Treatments really good but the poor service from restaurant let it down. Our lunch a pre prepared wrap (which was very good) took one hour to arrive despite us being the only people in the restaurant — it was only because the spa had a bit of time that they could allocate that we did not have to miss treatments. £4.95 for a cup of coffee is terrible.

Infants should not be allowed in the restaurant, not when I'm spending £60 per person over a business dinner.
