Great food, good selection on the menu, smaller plates available on some dishes, good service and very pleasant staff. Recommend the sticky toffee pudding, toffee sauce and homemade ice cream.

Fascinating and friendly pub. There is a wide variety of food available that is a cut above the usual pub fare. We will go out of our way to eat there again.

Very friendly but the Sunday roast was a disaster. Meat badly "slow cooked " tasted only of white pepper. Roast potatoes dry and old, and some overcooked vegetables with bland gravey. £15? Shame as it is otherwise a nice place.

A very warm welcome from the staff. Attentive and friendly service during the meal and a varied and interesting menu. Superb starter of roasted fig and local Brighton Blue cheese. An inviting and friendly place with good accommodation, good food and good beer. Just what a country pub should be!

Quirky, quaint and decorated with the incredible creativity if it's owner Dom. Coming from Brighton where every pub interior is repeated the Roebuck is a refreshing change. Great for children to run around the large garden which is full of animals and games. We've been well looked after here on every visit, especially this year. Meals and celebrations for Dad have been exceptionally well catered and detailed. The team have been amazing hosts. Thankyou.

Lovely place — inviting garden. One of the few pubs left in the area with an all day kitchen. The crispy fried brie is to die for. Will definitely go again.

Four of us had a really nice lunch at the Roebuck, the staff were very friendly and efficient, I had the Liver, bacon and champ which came with a really tasty proper gravey, really good.

On Saturday evening I was treated to a very special surprise event in the function room. From the start the staff were fantastic, the buffet food was incredible and varied and delicious. The venue is perfect for this sort of party with plenty of room to boogie to the great band and the option to go into the bar for some conversation. My family and friends were full of praise for the staff and I cant thank them all enough for making it such a perfect evening.

Had a table booked for Mother's Day, wenall thought the food was delicious — best Yorkshire puddings I've had in a while! Service for our main was very quick. Would also highly recommend the chocolate orange iced cream, very rich and creamy, super tasty.

Absolutely superb. Amazing pub with amazing service, food and drinks. Came for Mother’s Day and can’t recommend it enough. I highly recommend the Bakewell tart. By far the best I’ve ever tasted. Would rate it 10 stars if it I could.

Great pub with an amazing selection of beers, wonderful open fire, great garden and lovely staff. It is well worth your time and is great in summer and winter for a quick pint or a sit down meal.

We went on Valentine's day and had the set menu it was very well presented and was very good, the attention to detail was evident in all the courses, the staff are friendly and helpful good time was had by all.

Fantastic place. The staff were eager to please and incredibly helpful. The rooms are excellent, and the food great. It's a great base for walking, and they'll make you a packed lunch if you ask.

The pub looks lovely inside and out. I found the food was overpriced and nothing special — my bacon was very Salty as were the potatoes. The children's food was charged at £8.50 but the portion size was half the adults meal, so I felt that it should have been half price £6.25. I liked seeing the chickens roaming free but they had left their droppings on the tables. Will not return.

Informal and great food! Love the garden, with chickens wandering around collecting scraps and titbits. The ice cream is the best I've ever tasted.

What a pub! well kept beers and a huge variety of them! best chips I've ever had (cooked in beef dripping) and if you get bored play with the Chickens or the Pig in the garden, A lovely slice of eccentric East Sussex!

What a gem. Back to nature garden with pigs and chickens. Very traditional pub and a wide selection of real ales. A large extensive menu although we did not eat here on this occasion the food that was being served to other customers looked delicious and a good sized portion.

We are so lucky to live close to the The Roebuck in Laughton. Great food and great service! So far we have visited 5 times and we have never had a bad meal (and we have had a wonderful variety of meals). The staff are very friendly and attentive and the food is superb and well presented. I would highly recommend this pub. The last time we visited a wedding party of 48 called to say they would be arriving an hour early and the unflappable Sally called her staff in early, then set about getting the Pimms ready for the arrivals. There are many 'pubs' who could learn a lot from The Roebuck.

Maureen and I have just spent a most enjoyable stay at the Roebuck, after travelling down from Yorkshire to attend the Glyndebourne Festival. The refurbished stable block offered excellent accommodation — with ample tea — and coffee-making facilities with designer teas and ground coffee for the cafetiere. Try their superb Sussex breakfast and you can skip lunch, although there are less substantial breakfast choices, with a good selection of home-made granolas and a variety of fresh and dried fruit. Very friendly and helpful staff, and a lovely area to visit.

We have lived in Seaford for 18 years and I am ashamed to say today was my first visit to this wonderful pub. Started well with a warm welcome which just continued throughout our visit. We had friends down from Wokingham and we must say that the food was so tasty and really good value. There is no doubt that we will be back.
