We checked in on 27th December for 2 nights, nothing was too much for them. Happy, polite staff, very clean, breakfast was ok could do with a bit more fresh fruit and fresh orange juice then that's the perfect continental breakfast, Great value for money and will be booking again 🙂

We had reservations at this hotel which we booked months ago. Our reservations have been cancelled 2 weeks before we are due to travel with no explanation and we are now left trying to source alternative options. Impossible to get through to anyone in the hotel to discuss.

They take your money and then cancel your booking the next day. No explanation or details about a refund.

Would NOT recommend this hotel in the slightest! Turned up, had to wait ages for someone to check us into our room once we checked in the room was damp and not particularly clean, certainly didn’t have a nice warm feeling like most hotels should have. Breakfast was awful, bacon was practically still alive and had grown a tail and fins because it was swimming in fat, would not recommend this hotel at all.

The room was clean tidy, the whole hotel was spotless, great Seaview… hotel is in the perfect position, breakfast was unbelievable there is everything you could want… parking outside only £2 for the time you get there until 11am next day.
We regularly go Eastbourne, stayed here three times…

An excellent accommodation during these strange times. Great breakfast, very well organised. Very comfortable.

In the current climate the hotel and staff are doing a fantastic job, yes there’s a difference but it’s for everyone’s safety. Clean and comfortable, some of the complaints on trip advisor just don’t add up, we have a great weekend, definitely come here again.

Lovely hotel very helpful and freindy warm welcome when we arrived and very helpful with my wife with her disability.

Wonderful stay recently. The hotel is situated in a great location. Very friendly staff. We slept very well in a great room. Only disappointment was the breakfast. The food wasn't great but other than that we would still stay again.

Hotel is absolutely beautiful, rooms clean and comfortable. The 3 disappointments that I have is about the cutlery at breakfast was filthy! All the knives, forks, spoons, mugs were filthy. Also by the hotel foyer, we could smell wacky back and upstairs along our room corridor. I informed the receptionist and she said that is nothing she can do about it. We also asked her places to see in Eastbourne, she said she doesn't know as she is from Lithuania. Very disappointing… The hotel itself is beautiful with a fantastic history. Its just so sad to see a majestic hotel being run by staff that don't know anything, wacky back smells and dirty cutlery and mugs!

This hotel is by far my favourite in Eastbourne and I love staying here and have done many times. The rooms are big and very clean and the reception staff are friendly and very helpful. In particular Jamie he is a treasure for the the hotel.

Old building but rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff very caring and friendly. Breakfast good. Have already booked to go back.

The only good thing about this place is the location. Wi-Fi is almost non existent, the rooms are small and the mattresses are really uncomfortable. Staff are rude and for two days there were no water at all. You then report it to be told that they are aware of it but don’t know when it is going to be fixed. Really bad experience.

Loved the decor, reception staff were excellent. Comfy bed, drink facilities in room. Included a bath! much appreciated, would definitely stay again.

Check in was smooth with the friendly chap. Sunday night rate including breakfast was a bargain! 3rd floor sea view room was fantastic. Room clean and bed comfy.
Breakfast buffet style was ok and plenty of it. Would use again if was too return to Eastbourne.

The reception staff was fantastic full of energy and helpful.
The room, well the carpet needed a steam clean — my shoes stuck to it!
The picture is very deceiving of the hotel (and the rooms), check in is down the side — so unkept/unclean. The mattress had seen better days and should be replaced, nothing like feeling springs in your back.
A few hooks in the bathroom wouldn’t go astray as nothing to hang your towels on.
Yes it is in a great position, but so are so many others.

Very reasonably priced for what you get. Comfy bed and a good shower. A TV and comfortable room overlooking the sea. Close to the pier and the beach and the staff were lovely. Would definitely stay again!

Ironically I have happened to stay at this disgraceful hotel run by the same owner! Again he makes his staff write reviews in order to give it a higher rating. I am absolutely appalled at the horrific service, the windows were cracked and dirty, furthermore there is a fence obscuring your view at the balcony, my room had a leak, the electricity was not functioning and there was a horrible smell as if something had died underneath my bed, a chambermaid had moved it to reveal a mouse hole and a dead mouse, I was absolutely shocked out of hell!

Thanks for the poor customer service and a stressful check out. I previously received an email stating it was confirmed that It was fine to have a late check out of 1pm with no charge. Then I was suddenly informed at 11am on check out day it’s not and I had to leave otherwise be charged. Causing me to rush and throw everything into bags to avoid charges.

Can't m really complain got a very cheap room including breakfast. Didn't expect much but got a room with side sea view. Breakfast not too bad had worse in many other hotels. Not too far from the pier and center. Parking okay when we went but it was mid week can see it being a problem at busy times, you can buy a pass for £1 a night from hotel but it is street parking in a certain zone. Taking into consideration how much I paid you can't really can't get better. Is the second time I have stayed and wouldn't hesitate again if was in that area.

Awful. Noisy inside and out all night. Staff rolling bins outside the window in the early hours. Cars racing up and down the seafront. Didn't sleep. Breakfast was really not good. Queues for missing breakfast items. Directed to share a table with strangers. Had to pay for parking. Avoid.

Discreet quiet but very light. To wonder who makes the bed in the morning!

We went on a Wowcher bargain break so I wasn't expecting a lot but we were pleasantly surprised. We had a double room on the third floor with a sea view and slept really well, the bed was really comfy. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast delicious.

The service: The people at the reception are friendly and helpful but the cleaning team is a joke. At 3pm they hadn't cleaned the room yet. After a while the lady came to clean and we had to go despite the kids being tired. When we returned to the room there were still breadcrumbs on the floor and the dirty mugs from the day before. The guy at the reception offered to clean so we had to get out again. The rooms: We booked a family room but all they do is open up a sofa-bed. But since the rooms are already quite small there is barely any space left. The sofa-bed is quite dangerous, with various bits of metal poking out which I had to cover. Not ideal if you have kids. The first day we found a bunch of hair and dust in the middle of the room. The room smells of dirty feet and the only window overlooks a wall. There is some mould in the bathroom and exposed pipes. The extractor is permanently on and quite annoying at night. There is no air conditioning, just an electric heater and a fan. Acoustic insulation is awful. We could hear people upstairs turning it their bed and walking in the corridor. The breakfast: Fair choice with English breakfast, cereals or pastries. However the food is not great. The bacon was crunchy, the toast are as thin as the paper towels and not very tasty. The pastries were nice, especially when warm, but you'd need 3 or 4 because they are mini. Coffee is from an automatic machine.

Spacious and neat rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was lovely, self service and staff extra efficient in clearing the tables. Plus paid next to nothing through wowcher.

Great Hotel in good location. Family room was big enough for myself and our two children. Staff couldn't have been more helpful. No evening restaurant service but more than accommodating if you get a takeaway delivery and eat in the breakfast/bar area. Great breakfast with self-service with two staff on hand to help.

This is a nice cheap base if staying in Eastbourne. The staff are great and no problems with booking eventhough it was made months in advance. Breakfast is good with plenty of choice. The negatives are the walls are paper thin and the floor creaks. The bedroom is nice with all you could asked for but there are lots of marks on the walls. But for the price it's a bargain stay. It's opposite the beach you get, tea making facilities, ironing board and iron, hairdryer for the price amazing.

Was a very nice stay, with excellent service from staff and nice breakfast in the morning. Went out of season so it was cold due to gaps in the window frame, but understand that's due to the fact it's a listed building. Can't praise the staff enough and was nice and cheap with a Groupon deal. Only downsides as I said were the cold draught, slightly cramped shower with no heating in bathroom and feel that they could do more with the breakfast area and use it for light lunches and suppers. Would quite happily stay here again.

Great place to stay in Eastbourne, right on the seafront but not too close to the pier. Very comfortable room, clean and bright with a queen size bed. The breakfasts cater for all tastes from muesli to the full english and the pastries and fresh juice are a thoughtful addition. Had a warm welcome on arrival and the parking system was explained. Found it easy to park close to the hotel for a minimal charge. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Clean basic hotel on the sea front so lovely views. What made it 5 stars for us where the staff. The general managers where fantastic from up grading us to recommending places to visit and eat. All the staff where very friendly and hardworking. Great value for money 2 nights b n b £70. They don't do dinner but offer a tourist passport with special deals i. E. Free bottle of wine if you eat here.

Lovely room with a beautiful view… breakfast very nice. There was a strong smell of cannabis when approaching our room but it had gone by the morning. Main bed very comfortable but sofa bed extremely poor and squeaked like crazy.

Amazing stuff and service. Cosy specious rooms and nice baths. A wonderful quick stop to recharge before a channel crossing.

Location is on the front opposite one of the best pubs in Eastbourne The Crown & Anchor. Service is 5*. Rooms were clean if a little dated. Would defo return.

The hotel rooms big although we had a small room with back view we were lucky to upgrade to sea view and the rooms were decent size and the service was really good and the stuff were very friendly. Breakfast was really good.

We had an excellent stay, room was big and spacious, breakfast was fine and it was in a great position also a pound to park all day. Crown and Anchor just behind it couldn't ask for more.

Nice hotel. Rooms great size, bathroom not up to date but not too bad. Was an OK night apart from kids running up and down, screaming their heads off at 10.30pm. Lovely view from our room. Staff very polite and welcoming. Would recommend if your stopping off in Eastbourne for a short stay. Very close to town.

Decent hotel, nice family room, cot for the baby, clean, reasonably comfy bed. Nice breakfast, good selection. Friendly staff. Excellent location, short walk to Eastbourne Pier. Near to good selection of restaurants. Would stay again.

Reception Service is good. Reception has that public toilet smell about it. Avoid rooms apart from the top floor. We stayed on the 3rd and it's like a party is going on above us but I believe it's the occupiers of the room just walking around, maybe they have a baby elephant? The hotel needs to invest in door closers as the room next to us slams each time but then so does ours. Maybe if you intend to get super merry when you stay here you would be none the wiser to any of my opinions. Didn't eat in the onsite restaurant it does not look very welcoming.

We stayed in the hotel for a night over the weekend. Staff were friendly, room was clean and well equipped. We had a sea facing room. It was pretty quiet. We would definitely recommend this hotel. Overall, great place to stay and good value for money. P. S. We didn't had breakfast at the hotel so cannot comment.

Stayed for 2 nights and was absolutely perfect for me and my wife. The staff were friendly from the second we arrived until the second we left, giving us tips on where to visit and eat etc. Breakfast was lovely, and room was clean and tidy. All you could ask for really. Would very highly recommend this place to stay. Thank you shoreview.

I booked the room as a surprise for my husband for Valentine's day we arrived on the 14th booked in a 3pm and went to the room and was utterly surprised we was in room 209 2nd floor sea view room it was massive loads of space comfy bed free view TV loads of tea and coffee plenty of lighting could not access the balcony for health and safety reasons but there was a window the staff were lovely and the breakfast was surprisingly nice not greasy but tasty. Didn't have any issues with noise the sound of the ocean was lovely to drift of to sleep too. The bed was massive.

The set up is nice and the staff friendly but I feel the food could be better.

A basic but comfy hotel on the main Parade and only minutes from the pier. The only meal they do is breakfast but there is a 24hrs bar. Our bathroom was very cold and it was uncomfortable to use it at night. The hotel provides a cheap parking voucher and this allowed easy and safe parking across from the hotel. Very central but I wouldn't book this hotel again.

Great breakfast and clean and stylish room. Lives up to its name with fantastic sea views from many of the rooms. Also has a well equipped (if a little small) gym which is new and very useful. Especially after the inevitably great meal you will have had in one of the many top class restaurants within a five minute walk! Overall would recommend for anyone wanting a fantastic seaside experience on one of Britain's best seaside towns.

Just stayed for two nights up to Christmas Eve while visiting family. Even at the time of year when I wouldn't like to have to work, the staff here are fabulous. Very polite, friendly, efficient and I would recommend this hotel primarily for that. The room (110) was easily large enough for our family of four, very clean, terrific views, bath, shower, super-king bed and double sofa-bed, both very comfy, TV, tea making etc. Breakfast was included and had continental and cooked choices, and was a buffet so ample quantity. A parking permit was provided, and we parked directly across the road, where the beach started! Everything to see, do and eat at was within walking distance in either direction. Very relaxing stay.

We paid £37 for 1 night. We paid £10 extra to check-in at 12 noon instead of 3 PM. Hotel is located on the marina and very close to the pier. Check-in was smooth and quick, and the room was clean, nice and comfortable. Liquid soap in the shower was not good quality, and there was no shower-cap. All in all very good hotel.

Loved this hotel. Staff are the best I have encountered in a long time. Location is fantastic but due to the age of the hotel there is a lot of outside noise getting in to the room. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise as it was very well stocked, top quality cooked buffet breakfast, really nice coffee machine. Room had all that was needed, especially appreciated the tea and coffee making facilities.

The hotel is lovely, the staff are so friendly and the breakfast is definately up there 5*. The only problem I found is the beds are awful to sleep on. This is my second stay for business reasons now and I found myself waking every hour or so on both occasions. The only let down… oh and the shower is a bit tricky for older guests even with the instructions.

Excellent clean room. Food was lovely great breakfast. Staff were the nicest and courteous I have ever encountered in a hotel.

Rating a hotel depends heavily on the room you get. Ours was on street level and with a fantastic street view and boy was it loud. The insulation is much too thin and it doesn't help either that we got some teenage neighbours the next night. Anyway the staff was friendly but none of them asked whether we enjoyed our stay when we left. Seems they dont care too much. At least breakfast was a good experience.

Lovely place in eastbourne for most people just wasnt my cup of tea.

Back again. Best place for family of 5. Great clean Double room great bathroom buffet breakfast. Great staff safe and clean. Great views and balcony. Will be back again.

Very friendly reception service. Room clean and with everything but everything that is not facing the sea is a bit ugly. Ideal for short getaways. Breakfast is buffet, is not very large and can ask the kitchen but enough for a few days.

100% would recommend this hotel! The staff were so lovely towards us! Especially Zuzanna (I think)! The hotel staff had a good knowledge of the surrounding area and were polite and helpful at all times. The room was clean and comfortable, I really wanted to take one of the desk chairs home! Haha. The cooked breakfast in the morning was perfect for a hangover! Really enjoyable stay, thank you! x.

Nice big rooms and clean, Great location if you're visiting the town. We went to a local tapas restaurant which was just a 5 min walk from the hotel, we would happily stay here again.

Fab stay, fab hotel, excellent staff. I have a wheat intolerance and they had bought gf cereals and bread, much appreciated.

Its not the cheapest or cleanest hotel in Eastbourne but it was okay — sheets were clean, bathroom was clean but there were cobwebs, dust and a noisy fan in the bathroom. We also had the delight of being right infront the lift so everyone congregated outside out bedroom in the early hours (I guess that's unavoidable but something to remember when booking a room) The Seaview that I paid extra for was awesome, all be it a small window, that could have done with a clean.
