Very friendly staff. Very run down. In desperate need of being done up.

Room very poor lights couldn't see a thing, dirty mould on bathroom ceiling light fitting hanging off. Wallpaper torn all over the place looked like blood splatter on ceiling stunk of weed. Never again. Breakfast was good though. L.

Amazing staff. The room was really nice. Soft bed. Nice en suite. Great location for restaurants and shopping.

Room was spacious. Nice and peaceful. Excellent location. Can't fault it.

Had to travel to Swansea as a family member was in hospital found this hotel on the cuff phoned and received first class service over the phone after a drive taking over 8 hours and a visit to the hospital eventually arrived at 5.30 in the morning key was left as we were told. The rooms in this hotel are well below standard even for a budget hotel in need of a total refurbishment it boosts a garden which in fact is a square of grass complete with dog mess. I believe this could be a nice place to stay with some money spent on it and better management in its favour the staff were really attentive and the owner did reimburse us as we left and found a cleaner fresher more relaxing hotel.

Came here for a 3 day break it is what it is cheap with a 5 mins walk to city centre good sleep good brekky if you want posh don't come here we loved it and for a place to get a sleep and brekky give it a go.

Excellent value for the price. Highly comfortable room and delicious breakfast with a laid back staff. Like being home!

Not bad at all, a bit run down but rooms were clean good nights sleep breakfast was OK and the staff friendly and polite will stay again.

Excellent hotel. Personable and lovely staff. Perfectly located about 10 minutes from the city centre.

We didn't have a great stay here in particular. The car park is very small at the back so we had to park on the road on an occasion. The receptionist was very friendly. There are around 20 rooms with one tripple room which we had. Unfortunately, the hotel is in need of a major redecoration, including our room which was very dull, with stains on the walls and an unfinished ensuite. The ensuite also flooded when using the shower as the water did not flow down the drain substantially. On the positive side, the beds were particularly comfortable and the breakfast was delicious and well laid out in the dining room. For the price however, this place is alright.

This is the most dirtiest hotel u have ever been to the room was terrible very dusty don't think they even clean the beds the place is very old rooms are shabby nothing like what u see on the picture they should close the scruffy place down.

I spend with my boyfriend a couple of days and New Year's Eve in the Windsor Lodge Hotel and we were very pleased. The room was very comfortable and clean. We were positively surprised about the delicious English breakfast with baked beans, bacon, grilled tomatoes & mushrooms and various types of eggs. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is also close to city centre and a supermarket is also nearby. Some advices for the future: Please offer tapped beer at the bar and facilitate the handling of the windows. It would be nice, if the fireplace in the lounge can be lighted up. To sum up, we had a brilliant time.

Terrible place to stay. Was staying with my pregnant wife and the clown at the counter allocated us a tiny room with a bath only and no shower. We didn't notice until we got back after dinner at which point the guy at the counter blamed us for not checking our room. He said "what do you expect from an old hotel". We've stayed at many well run older hotels. When you check a pregnant lady into a room with a bath only you should check that it is ok. Not try to sneak it past her. We were told to share the shower with another room. Terrible customer service. Terrible management. Would recommend you avoid this hotel. Unfortunately I have to stay one more night. Wish us luck.

Fabulous staff, Wi-Fi is solid, breakfast is good, price is right, some oddities owing to it being a 250 year old and grade 2 listed building.

Clean comfortable room and good breakfast. Room had no shower but had a bath.

We stayed in the Windsor lodge on the 14th of February of this year. It was exceptionally clean And more than comfortable. The only problem I encountered here was with the French/Spanish cleaner. She was extremely rude and commented on our room whilst new quests were checking in! Other than that outstanding, but she needs seeing to!

Having stayed in a number of budget hotels in Swansea I can say the Windsor Lodge is my favourite. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms well equiped for the price range. The two stylish and comfortable lounges are useful for those looking to relax of an evening although the bar is only staffed until 9pm. Free Wi-Fi is fast and reliable, the breakfast is includec and good quality. The frontage is being repaired but the rear entrance in the car park leads straight to reception.

The rooms are small, the bath is dirty, dirty tea spoons. Staff/owners live on the 3rd floor and play loud music late at night, not very sound proof, you can heat it quite clearly. Food is generally pretty good, and they did get a 5 for food hygiene by the food standards agency. Water pressure in the rooms is very poor so not a very good shower! Shower curtain pole kept falling down, which was annoying! Very small bathroom and the toilet was a bit wobbly. Staff are friendly, free Wi-Fi (if you can get signal in your room), computer in lounge which is free to use.

Excellent value for the price, clean, good food, great value. I would have no hesitation in returning.

Firstly, I must say I agree with everyone else that has left a review on this place. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast room was nice and inviting. But. The room we were allocated was, hmmm lets say. Not what I would have expected for £75 for the night. Our room was down a mirrored corridor, which had laundry spilt across it and I felt I was entering the staff area rather than my room! Entering the room I was lets say rather shocked. It was a small room, one that you would concider ok for single occupancy, not one suite to two people staying in! I then proceeded to heck the room out making sure things worked ok. There were a few things. Old sash window would not open up properly nor would it shut properly. Not such an issue, but it was the bathroom that astonished us the most>>>> I felt I had travelled back into the 70's and was faced with a wall length mirror cracked) the bathrppm was so small you had to step over the toilet to get into the bath to have a shower, which was a poor excuse of a shower at that. The grouting was grey and the tiles cracked. You sat on the toilet and your knees were on the cabinet to the sink. Worst thing of all. NO COLD WATER?!?!? the tap just twisted and turned! Carpets threadbear tea making facilities dirty, not washed up and old tea stains on the outside of the cups. And well, I'll just leave it at that. I asked at receiption to change rooms, but there were no others so it seemed for one night we were stuck there.
