Review of Village Hotel Swansea 3*

Really bad experience at a recent event. Firstly we spent over £100 pre ordering drinks. This would “save us waiting at the bar”. When we arrived they were not ready. So we waited at a very busy bar where We had to spend a further £25 per bottle of wine, served by the rudest barman known to man. We were then seated where I was practically sitting on a strangers lap. Given the covid measures we’d expect to at least have our own table not rubbing shoulders with another group. The staff kindly moved our table which did cause a bit of a scene to everyone around us but better safe than sorry and they did offer an overpriced drink to make up for it as could see how stupid it was to put us so close to another group. Then our pre ordered drinks finally arrived along with our meal. (2 bottles of wine and corona beers £100) We patiently awaited for the tribute we’d arranged to go see. Time was getting on and few had work in the morning. It was 10:07 before we were told they were no longer coming and the DJ would kindly play a mega mix to make up for it. We had one abba mega mix then We left after being promised by two girls we’d be contacted to arrange a full refund or an alternative date on the next day. I waited for the call the next day…. Never happened. Got to the Monday and after a few chaser emails and phone calls I was contacted by email to say I’d have £10 per person back?!?! Bit of a joke given we were told full refund, and had spent money on outfit taxis etc for the night? I escalated this after while I awaited my £10 per person. Almost two weeks later 4 emails and still not had a Penny back. Paid all that money for nothing. The place is a joke and I’m really not happy with how this has been handled. Wouldn’t waste your money going here. Much better venues to go to and far cheaper that this place.
