Take the road By Cwmbach stores Up the TOP Of the HILL By the entrance to Blaen-nant-y-groes cottages … THERE'S A small tractor trail past the sheep and horse fields. … Amazing walks for Your dog (Bags) nd Wildland walks for children. Path leads to Aberdare Golf club and on to te top of Abernant The rhos wellant pub is an amazing pub to Take five with a pint or maybe a bite to eat … Path leads right through to Llwydcoed. We collected leaves for an art project. Paint everywhere. Dog is still currently sleeping. Definitely worth a visit. Bring plenty of water with you.

We stayed in the studio. It was absolutely lovely with a log burner and underfloor heating. Would definitely return! Rope swing in the front garden was lots of fun!

Beautiful studio apartment in the heart of South Wales, just outside Aberdare. Very peaceful and we'll appointed. Highly recommended.

We have just had a very enjoyable weekend at Tunnel Cottages. We booked the studio apartment as we needed a place to stay with our dog for a weekend of canicross in Cwmdare country park on the other side of Aberdare. The cottage was well situated for this and for exploring the gorgeous Brecon Beacons and provided a comfortable base for our weekend. A good find.

Great views located just outside Aberdare which has great facilities — swimming pools, and parks.

Comfortable n cosy. As we were only there for one night it would have been helpful to have a little milk to enjoy the tea bags provided.

Great little cottage's/studios/flats, all amenities within including full range of sky. Lovely settings on a non working farm with great views over the valley.

The cottage was fantastic, located in an idyllic piece of the Welsh countryside. Despite only staying there for a single night, the cottage felt very homely with a wood fire, underfloor heating and a lovely atmosphere; all very appreciated after a climb through the nearby mountains! Would definitely revisit!

Excellent accommodation. Beautiful views. We booked here as we had a wedding party in Mountain Ash. Local taxi was reasonable. Cost £7.50 to travel approximately 7 miles.

Positive: Well appointed apartments, under floor heating was a bonus, beautiful views of the valley, easy parking. Great for active people with own transport or hardy walkers / keen cyclists or bikers. Reasonable rates for the area. Great for a base to explore the surrounding areas, witht he stunning Gower Peninsula not to far away. The local take aways are clean with good portions & prices. Must check out Penderyn Distillery, a little gem of a place. Negative: Aberdare town centre is not a pleasant place with lots of Police activity at night as evidenced by the nightly wail of police sirens.
