Went in unplanned when staying nearby a few weeks ago and delighted I did. Food and service was absolutely first class, and what a lovely setting! Can’t wait to go back, and would highly recommend ❤️

Again a lovely meal at The Inn on the Tay. During the summer this year, lunch every month and would definitely recommend. Delicious food, lovely staff, very friendly and even our puppy dog gets to go, treated well. A must for everyone xx.

Outstanding food and service in a beautiful setting, very relaxing and can't wait to go again.

Lovely place with the friendliest staff and great food. The portions were huge without compromising on quality. The chicken burgers were amazing as was steak and red wine pie and roast beef.
Even with current restrictions everything was done to accommodate us.
There is a marquee for alcoholic drinks if required.
Th Inn overlooks the Tay and views are spectacular. Will definitely be back!

Went there for lunch today with our little dog. Fabulous food and a great atmosphere. Josie the owner is a breath of fresh air and we can’t wait to go back. A great example of providing great service with a smile.

The food is great. Staff brilliant. We have just had our staff Christmas night out at the snowball and had a fabulous evening with a live band. Thoroughly recommend.

The menu is varied, the surroundings are very tasteful (wee pun) the views of the famous river Tay are lovely. We had our Christmas meal there today and service and food was excellent.

Have visited many times and never been disappointed. Today we popped in for lunch with our 9 year old grandson Graeme and 8 month old labradoodle Fudge for lunch. We had the Sunday roast and Graeme had fish and chips. The food was delicious and the service friendly and welcoming. Fudge was treated to a large bowl of water and some dog biscuits and we discovered that 3 of the lovely bedrooms are dog friendly so cannot wait to return for an overnight stay.

Fabulous food and atmosphere — staff are brilliant. Highly recommend, and worth a wee detour from the A9.

Great night at the inn on they Tay last night, kids enjoyed the sparklers and toasting of the marsh mallows bbq was fantastic and well done to rod and the guys for the brilliant fire work display over the river Tay, fantastic wee local, recommend it to everyone, food is great but even popping in for a cheeky wee drink is a must.

My wife and I go to the inn on the tay a few times a year. Apart from the stunning location by the river tay which you can admire from the well appointed terrace on good days and bad the service and food is amazing too. Today the sun was hot at least for scotland in September. We had a lovely lunch and watched the canoeing on the water. Pretty calm today. For special occasions or just to enjoy a lazy few hours it is a must.

Food and staff very pleasant, could not fault aside from an unfortunate experience with the sea-bass which was saturated with mayonnaise. Yuck! Staff were receptive to feedback however and the dessert was yummy to make up for it. Reasonably priced too and lovely location.

We stopped by for dinner as this is one of the few places in this area open for dinner. Our meal was tasty + the staff was very friendly. Service was pretty quick + they were great about stopping back to refill drinks.

Stopped here while hiking the Rob Roy Way and we're able to grab lunch on the patio. The service staff were quite busy, as it was a bank holiday, so the food was slow to arrive and the staff a bit overwhelmed but all in all a great experience. The food was prepared very well and was delicious. Eating by the falls as kayakers tested thier skills on the water was nice as we dined. A great stop if you are on your way through the town.

Found this little gem after our tasting at Dewar's Aberfeldy distillery. It is situated right next to the river Tay and has a outdoor dining area that over looks the river. It is here that I found the best fish and chips that I had in the whole of UK. The 'side' order of mussels that we ordered could easily had been a full order anywhere else. Overall, everything was delicious and with the beautiful view of the river, this is a must visit if you are in the area!

An excellent meal with one of the best starters I have had in many years. The chicken and haggis pie was a treat as well with a superb light crust and plenty of flavorful filling. Superb service from A friendly and helpful young lady who was attentive whilst not being imposing. A genuine treat and I'd give it six stars if I could.

Perfect setting against the Tay. Sit and enjoy a drink on the deck, watching people using the river, while So enjoy a drink. Sit in the bar and have a drink in a cosy room with bar staff that want to look after you. The resturant is large and beautifully decorated. The food is as good as the menu would have you imagine. We enjoyed a family meal with 25 of us eating and the service, food, drinks and the eagerly anticipated deserts were simply perfect.

We had a lovely meal there and the waitress adviced us on the choices that some of us had made would take time to cook. Tge meal arrived hot and looked great. Tgere was a small fault with one meal but the staff moved swiftly to rectify this and were more than apologetic. Could not fault the service or food. Puddings were especially good.

Another really enjoyable visit to The Inn on the Tay. The staff made us feel so welcome and the food was excellent. We have visited Grantully and the Inn on the Tay a number of times and we always have a great stay.

Absolutely no complaints. The service was friendly and fairly efficient. The rooms were well furnished and large. The location was delightful, from the sound of the river at night to the Chocolate store across the street. Would highly recommend.

We used to eat here on occasions some years back when we were regular visitors to Kenmore and the Inn was young — must be 7 years or more ago. Yesterday, returning from the Aberfeldy Mòd, we called in the hope there might be a table free. At something after 7pm on a Saturday evening, we were not confident. However, a warm and friendly welcome from Josie, led us immediately to a table and furnished us with menus while exchanging news and views of the Mòd. Within a few minutes, some 20 others had arrived, so I guess we were lucky — but the influx didn't slow or reduce the quality of service. Drinks ordered, a jug of iced water on the table and a few minutes to absorb the menu and specials. Local fare and ingredients to the fore — excellent. All the staff were bright, friendly and attentive throughout — Harri, particularly, was on the ball. And the meal more than lived up to our keenest expectations. The pie of the day (pork) was immense, succulent and very satisfying, washed down with a glass of merlot as good as any tasted recently. Next time we need to stay the night and opt for the bottle.

My partner and I had a fantastic stay at The Inn on the Tay — our fourth stay here. It really is that good. We stayed in room six, overlooking River Taylor, which was both comfortable and very homely. The service was absolutely flawless, from start to finish. We really can't speak highly enough of the owners of the inn; they really can't do enough for you when you stay there. The bar area is quaint and perfect when enjoying a drink while looking out on the river. As for the restaurant — if it isn't award-winning, it really should be. There's a fabulous selection and I can honestly say every dish I've eaten at the inn has been top notch! I can't recommend The Inn on the Tay enough and would highly encourage you to visit for a stay and to try the restaurant.

Really lovely staff, superb aumbionce, excellent food in restaurant and a candlelit bar, with a real fire where everyone was greeted with a bit cheery hello. Even the dogs got greeted, dog treats behind the bar for good boys. Our room was big, comfortable and spotlessly clean room, lovely to have a sofa to sit on and listen to the sound of the river rappids outside the window. Fantastic location right on the river, would not hessitate to recommend the Inn on the Tay. Added bonus of a Chocolatier opposite can't bad.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Bedroom was fresh, clean and comfortable. The restaurant was light and airy and both breakfast and dinner was excellent. Happy to recommend it.

A bit of a mixed review to be honest, mainly due to the staff. We started with Olives and bread on the terrace overlooking the river, which is a lovely spot. The olives and bread (which came with a huge chunk of butter) were well presented, but did not come with cutlery, or even some cocktail sticks to pick at the olives with. Call me old fashioned, but I don't like spreading butter with my fingers! Oh, and serving bread with olive oil and balsamic in a ramekin is just weird! A small plate and a small bottle of each to allow customers to mix their oil and balsamic would work a lot better. I think the omission of eating utensils was the fault of our waitress, who was more interested in chatting to her boyfriend (who was also sitting on the terrace) than providing decent service. We ate in the restaurant, and the food was great and reasonably priced. We were served by the 'love smitten' waitress and a younger guy — who was very good indeed! I'm in no rush to go back, mainly because I hate crap service. Re-educate the waitress or sack her I say.
