You couldn't want a better location if you like Hiking into the hills.
Staff were really helpful and friendly, food really was superb.
A lounge with a roaring log fire a massive range of Whiskies and local Beer on draught, what more could you ask for?
Just book it.

Amazing place, stunning and picturesque to get lost in, a bit of a time warp and lovely staff as well. Bit expensive however cheap enough if you get it on deals, don't miss it then.

Picturesque castle style country hotel. Alex and Alice always very welcoming with friendly staff.

We had a great stay here. It is surrounded by beautiful scenery and they have a small golf course. The restaurant has a high class menu. When we visited there was hardly no hot water in the shower.

We recently stayed at Dalmunzie Castle for our daughter's wedding and greatly enjoyed the Castle and surrounding areas. The owner and staff were very gracious and accomodating, the menu and food were very good and our guests commented on how delicious all was. There were 40 guests/family and all rooms were very comfortable with traditional decor and all were ensuite. Would highly recommend as the staff worked diligently to make sure everything was addressed. Needless to say the Dalmunzie Castle Hotel went above what we were excecting!

The Location of the Hotel is stunning. The staff friendly. The owner/manager not so friendly. She didn't thank us for staying or wish us well. The room we stayed in needed some serious decorating. The room with 2 single beds was nothing special. It didn't have a Scottish or castle feel at all. Actually kinda disappointing.

Very nice castle hotel. Like a trip to another time. The rooms are very nicely furnished, one or the other would have to be renewed soon, but the overall impression is very positive. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food was very tasty, well cooked and beautifully prepared! Of course a very expensive location, but there is still something missing for a star.

An absolutely incredible setting for a few days away. The staff were incredible, very attentive to the dog as well as us. The food was also of the finest standard and the drinks selection is huge. A warm and friendly environment, we will be going back.

Just back from a fantastic stay. Such a beautiful setting, lovely rooms, and the food and customer service were outstanding. Thanks for making our stay special, including fuss, treats and walks for our pooch.

4 Friends and I stayed at the Dalmunzie Castle in early October and it was by far the best customer service we have ever received. The location was a dreamscape, the staff were exceedingly kind and attentive, the food was phenomenal, and the rooms were gorgeous! Yes, this castle is a little old… but most castles are! The history and details of the castle made it a rich experience. The staff members really felt like a family as they even took their time to sit down with us and talk about life! I would highly recommend this lovely place to anyone looking for a restful and magical getaway. I hope to return again.

This hotel gives the appearance of being a premium establishment but is very shabby. It is run down and has atrocious service. However, the location is breathtaking and the food is excellent.

Fantastic! Our kids cried when it was time to leave! The location is stunning, the staff lovely and the food & wine luxurious. The hotel is about a mile from the road, so it's perfectly peaceful. Catering to the varied dietary requirements of our group as well as to the children was no problem at all. They made the best scrambled egg ever for breakfast. The rooms we had were spacious and comfortable. We had decent TVs and tea/coffee in the rooms, plus home-made shortbread and a decanter of whisky! There was free Wi-Fi. The plumbing is a bit old-fashioned, but not bad considering the age of the castle. We had one room with a proper modern shower over the bath, and the other room had one of those fancy-looking but ultimately insipid hand held shower heads with a hose attached to the taps. There is plenty of space downstairs for gatherings or just lounging about — in the library, sitting-room or in the bar. The only bit that we disliked was the deer heads on the wall and the stuffed dead animals — kind of quaint but unnerving at times.
