Fabulous salad. Fresh! Great Service especially from Alex the newbie. So polite & pleasant he’s a star! Food amazing will definitely only eat in this establishment in Kirriemuir when I visit. Use to live here & this place has had a massive upgrade to the best level of expectations for food an choice. With being a business owner you guys have definitely made an great impression.

Our visit today was our first time eating here and we will certainly be back, my husband and I both had two courses, my burger was delicious and he said the same about his food as well, friendly staff good prices and a lovely friendly dog, look forward to coming back, thank you x.

We visited on Saturday after a last minute booking. The staff were superb, nothing was a bother for them. Our meals were fantastic. I would highly recommend the Arbroath Haddock. The kids would highly recommend the macaroni cheese and the chicken burger. We hope to visit again very soon.

Had an excellent high tea last Sunday. Plenty dishes to choose from the menu. Scones & cakes were lovely & even got a box of cakes home as we were too full. Staff very friendly & helpful. Good value.

I did not stay at this hotel but my brother and sisterinlaw did they got own apartment vety clean and bright was beautiful and the hotel itself very clean and the food is amazing as I ate here with them. I stayed at the thrums hotel would not recommend def go to. Airlie hotel will be booking soon.

Excellent service & food tonight for high tea with the family. Went above and beyond to cater for my vegan daughter, even supplying vegan friendly margarine for her toast and her own special vegan cake platter. Top class thanks again, we'll definitely be back soon.

Stayed at the hotel for three nights whilst visiting the Angus Glens well run warm friendly family hotel in the center of town excellent owner and staff very helpful.

Excellent food menu which incorporates freshly prepared seasonal produce from the local area. Staff are superb and super friendly.

The room was pretty worn down in need of renovation, especially the bathroom. Otherwise it was ok.

This hotel is the best in Kirriemuir, has won several awards since sisters Dilys and Nicola took over its running. For the public, The Airlie Arms provides food and drinks of the highest qualiity in the bar and The Wynd restaurant upstairs is always busy … My friend and I visit this superbly-run hostelry every week of the year and are met with friendly service, small-town witty but gracefully rich banter and a consideration for their customers that is hard to find in some hotels aspiring to much higher things. "The Airlie" is fast becoming The Centre of Kirriemuir Hospitality … Its reputation grows world-wide daily and exponentially.

… stayed last night… (29th August) … lovely place… excellent food… Alysha on the bar was wonderful… friendly and attentive… think she felt a bit awkward when she asked me to move as a large party were coming in… (to be fair I was taking up three tables) … but she was brilliant… Nicola saw me to my room and ran breakfast too… she was brilliant also… such a friendly place… apologies if I've got the names of the girls wrong… blame the people who run your Facebook page…! … lol… xx…

It was ok. Quiet. Except 2 skanks who kept hanging around my boyfriend.

I went for lunch today with a friend and ordered the chicken with black pudding. My friend ordered the marinated chicken. When it arrived, it was obvious mine had been over cooked and was dried out. It was clearly visible on the plate and the skin on the chicken had been cooked more than once! The girl asked us how our meal was when I was almost finished and I advised her it was just as well I had my own teeth! She said I should have said something at the beginning and the chef could have made another. I don't rate a chef that puts something so visibly dried up and overcooked out in the first place to a diner. My friend said her chicken was "okay". The serving was short of veg and for the £11.95 price tag, way overpriced. I went to Armstrong's up the road last night and got the most delicious steak for £10! When the bill arrived, there was no compensation or further discussion re the meal. I won't return to Airlie Arms. I will continue up the road and go where the food is fresh and the chef knows what they are doing. A pity. Disappointing.
