First time takeaway. Curries were excellent as was the rice and accompaniments. Complimentary pudding was also fab. Highly recommend.

We had curries from Shaftsbury Lodge last night. They were excellent. It was a large order for 9 people. Everything was perfect. As we were collecting rather than having delivered, everything was very well packed into two boxes and labelled and wrapped in tin foil to keep it all warm. Curry flavours were amazing. We will definitely be ordering again from the Shaftsbury Lodge. Thanks Juveria, great service.

Just had a wonderful Indian takeaway from here. We live locally but this was our first meal from the restaurant. It was fresh, delicious and delivered in good time. We will definitely be back soon. 😀

Ordered from this place tonight. Can honestly say the worst food ever. I had a lamb bhuna which was full of fat as was my wife’s chicken. My boy got a pizza which had no sauce base just cheese.

Ordered for the 1st time tonight and we weren’t disappointed, 2 starters one chicken and one giant prawn, wife is still going on about the sauce still, 2 pizzas and 3 milkshakes, was delivered on time and safely, all food was delicious and we will definitely be back 10/10

I had starters, a curry & rice, and a dessert and many extras from Shaftesbury Hotel, and the food was all delicious. Would like to thank the owners as this was free to myself as work for NHS and thoroughly appreciate the kind gesture. Will definitely recommend them and come back again soon.

The rooms were wonderfully comfortable. The owner and breakfast staff are friendly and most hospitable. They were both very accommodating and assisted us in our travel endeavors. Breakfasts were delicious and generous in proportion. If we are to visit Scotland again we would certainly return to the Shaftesbury Lodge. Thank you for a lovely stay!

I was lucky to be invited to the launch of the hotel with the new owners last week. The food provided was first class and it was a pleasure to sit in the comfortable lounges with good friends. I found the hotel location very convenient too.

Great staff and very modern design.

Very well positioned for town, parking on street but limited if you need to be close. Room was a good size and clean and tidy. Comfortable and quiet with no child policy. Price near the top end but would recommend and would re visit. Breakfast was included and more than adequate. Hosts very pleasant and amenable.

Brilliant, can't recommend it highly enough! Great value for money. Just enjoyed a girlie reunion weekend (30 years after starting uni) Lovely old house, great position. Comfortable well equipped rooms and a tasty breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble, from storing my friends fudge donuts to providing ice for our gin — thanks Heather!

Excellent location in Dundee's West End. Always receive a warm and friendly welcome from the owner who is always happy to offer help and advice on local attractions. Rooms are large and clean with comfy beds, flat screen tv, and Wi-Fi throughout. Will definitely return!

Very clean, well decorated and well presented. Heather is super friendly. My room was spacious well equipped and the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was superb and local restaurants a short term minute walk away. I highly recommend staying at the Shaftesbury.

The room was very comfy and lovely. The breakfast included in the price of the room is a tasty english breakfast prepared on demand and served at table.

Superb. We had a fantastic stay at the Shaftesbury. Everything about it was well done and other than a slightly fiddly shower tap we could not fault the place. Breakfast was wonderful and the hosts were very friendly. We'd go back there in a heartbeat if we were ever in Dundee again.
