Stayed with my husband and 2 young kids. Staff were very helpful and friendly, food was nice and views lovely.

The room was next to the extractor for the kitchen which wasn’t switched off until 10pm. Not what I needed after leaving home at 4.30 in the morning. Spoke to reception and was told they could not change rooms as the hotel was full. For some reason that nobody could explain the extractor started again at 11.30 for a short time but came on again at 6 in the morning. When I complained to the owner all he said was “all hotels have noisey extractor fans for the kitchen “ so unless you like paying top prices for a noisy room and only get 6 hours sleep then I would not use this hotel.

Absolutely amazing, we were married in the Invercarse in June. It was an amazing venue. All staff were so helpful and nothing was ever too much. Nicola was amazing and always answered the many questions I had with a very quick response. The food on the wedding day was amazing. I am always worried when it is a bigger function but I could not fault the food. The rooms were always clean and the Bridal suite was amazing. I really want to thank all of the staff. I would highly recommend having a wedding at the Invercarse. Thank You!

Arrived here last night for a wee break with my husband we got a a very nice welcome from girl at reception our room was nice and clean bed comfy had a lovely meal in the restaurant staff 100% overall 10 /10 love it.

Had a lovely overnight stay at the Invercarse hotel. Food was great and accommodation first class. Staff were cheerful and very helpful. Great bed! Would be a super place for a longer stay.

Absolutely not! really disappointed by attitude and service by receptionist staff (well just the older short haired lady) attitude was appalling no customer service at all. We felt intimated by her aggressive and non friendly attitude! poor and disgraceful behaviour via management when partial sighted lady and her guide dog visited the establishment and by her own word every Saturday to be told the door had to be closed preventing her guide dog to have the required air as required by the breed of the dog. Totally disappointed to see the way they where treated to say the least. Now the food lol now that's a joke kids portions but adult prices food disgusting would not recommend eating at this establishment though my other half was refunded with a 20% discount really should have been a full refund… bar over priced though staff are polite and friendly. No safe social distancing to be seen or advertised. Bar not social distanced seats cramped felt uncomfortable. WE certainly won't be back and certainly won't recommend! and to add insult to injury daughter booked us king room but put in standard double room but with attitude and aggressive behaviour of front receptionist staff one lady I will add didn't want to challenge!

Another fantastic stay at this wonderful hotel. The staff are absolutely brilliant… Nothing too much trouble. The room was very clean, comfortable and well stocked with teas/coffee etc… as always. The Restaurant has breathtaking views of the beautiful hotel garden and the River Tay… Especially of a morning with the haar over the River Tay! The Restaurant menu offers great variety and the food is exceptional. The lounge/bar area is excellent for chilling out. Love that the hotel are supporting local breweries/distilleries. The Dundee gin was lovely and the cakes were yummy too, especially the carrot cake! Was good to see social distancing measures/precautions in place. Plenty of hand gel supplied at various points around the hotel. Thank you so much to Sean and his fantastic team who have managed to keep the hotel going through these testing times and still offering a first class stay x.

Our works christmas party night at the Invercarse was fantastic. It was so well organised and the food and band (The Directors) were excellent.

Very good value, especially if you book direct. Great location, only 5 mins drive from Dundee University. Our room (206) was a bit noisy, as we could hear people talking and walking along the wooden hallway after a wedding there. Overall, a pleasant trip. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Just home from a two day break staying at this hotel. Stay was great, staff very friendly and food was great too (especially bacon and sausages for breakfast). There was a wedding on each night and we didn't hear a thing. The room (210) that we had was great also — good size with large bathroom (seemingly it has an adjoining room if required). Beds were VERY comfortable too. All in a great stay into the bargain we had booked it at a very special rate as advertised on tv. Would definitely like to return one day!

Check-in, great welcome followed by a simple signing of the usual paperwork. Being a Platinum Rewards member it's nice to be acknowledge at check-in. Room was perfect, bathroom with walk in shower was more than adequate. The huge TV that was on the wall looked a little unstable on it's bracket, disconcerting but it didn't fall off the wall. The bed was one of the better ones I've had in a Best Western, beat the one in IOM! (Went for the TT) Good sleep but then it might have been helped by the large quantity of alcohol. Breakfast, didn't start well, picked up a dirty glass for apple juice and then a knife with marmalade on the handle, clean, I think not. Warning of hot plates and food… should have been a warning "mildly warm! " Sausage, hash browns, bacon and beans, okay but no wow factor. Gave it 3 stars but then it was about average, overall.

We booked a room for four people with two single beds and a king size. We got two single beds and a twin size (it was less than 120 cm wide) it’s a bit crowded for two adults to sleep in a bed designed for one. This ruined the experience hence the low grade. Otherwise the hotel was abnormally clean and the staff was pretty nice too. A huge plus is that the room had USB ports so you could charge your phone without the need of an adapter. The breakfast was over my expectations with lots of fresh fruits and nice juicy bread. Would have given 4/5 if we had gotten a queen size bed.

Absolutely wonderful hotel in a beautiful setting. When I stayed, the hotel was really busy with an Australian team, but not only were the Aussies really nice folk, but the hotel didn't suffer with service. From check in to check out the staff were amazing. My main point that I must make though, was the bed. It was OUTSTANDING! Very comfortable! Would 100% stay again.

The worker are so friendly, they will tend to your need immediately plus with local neighborhood view. It was an amazing experience.

My recent visit to the Invercarse was one of many in the past few years. This time though the staff were all rushed and forgot some orders. The food was average and some of it was misrepresented by the menu. The cakes were excellent but that was due to them being made by Fisher and Donaldsons.

Love the food. Good quality more than enough for a good price. Free car parking as well. Staff very attentive without being over the top.

Great location with easy access to the city centre. Nice interior and friendly staff. Excellent dinner menu. Rooms were pleasant but a bit small, radiator in our room needed bled and was noisy throughout the night. Hotel was currently being refurbished so some areas were not accessible. Overall for what we paid it was good value for money.

Excellent hotel. We have stayed here several times now and always have a very warm welcome and the rooms are spotless and very comfortable. Even with the building of the extension we were undisturbed during our visit and the extra bedrooms will increase availability. The dining and bar staff again are very pleasant and the food presentation is always very good and served with the same warm welcome. We will be back — first class.

The hotel is a bit outside the city center so you always need a taxi or ist the bus which stops right in front of the hotel. The hotel in general is nice and clean. The receptionists and all other employees are extreamly friendly. The rooms are also quite nice and clean. They look that they have been redone not long ago. The breakfast was OK but could be better. It was as expected — national and international but with much convinience food. The rooms are quite in the night but when there is a party it can be loud. But in general I would recommend it because we enjoyed the stay a lot.

Only gave 4 because they ran out of eggs and some of our party had to sacrifice. Nice outdoor area with a cool arch display of bottles. Nice atmosphere and environment. Went specifically to go to the restaurant for breakfast.

Stayed 2 days and loved it. Staff are excellent-very polite and friendly. Very clean place. Food is great.

The imposing nineteenth century main building overlooks the Tay, but we were in a modern extension to the rear. Room was not huge but tastefully furnished with a good sized bathroom boasting a shower tray of circa 1500 X 700 mm. Parking is currently ample, but a function restricted spaces when we arrived, and the new extension may add to the problem when it is completed. A route 5 bus runs to City Centre every eight minutes on weekdays peak times. Ask for Perth Rd at Glamis Rd on returning.

We chose the Invercarse hotel as our wedding venue and were certainly not disappointed the staff here are all amazing customer service is excellent! The management team are fantastic and nothing is an issue they all go out there way to ensure your day is perfect. The venue is stunning with lovely views over the Tay perfect for photos. We had our wedding ceremony during the day with the reception at night which the staff turn the room around in seconds from the ceremony to the meals and then to the evening guests arriving everything is so organised from start to finish. Again thanks to all the staff we had a perfect day and we couldn’t fault a single thing excellent from start to finish. Mr and Mrs Laing.

Last-minute emergency booking, so wasn't expecting much, but room was nice, bed was huge and very comfortable, bathroom spacious, evening meal was fine and breakfast was excellent, so all in all, a great find. We have kids at university in Dundee so it's good to know this place is right on the doorstep and is such good value.

Stayed at the hotel last night with my partner and son, unfortunately we had a late check in and early check out this morning but we received a warm welcome by the lovely lady in reception who was very helpful. We stayed in a family room so was two rooms in the one, beds were huge and really comfy so perfect after a long days driving. The breakfast was also fab, everything you could want. Just a pity it was a flying visit, would love to stay again.

First thing was that I got into our room and window ledge that much stoor and dust that you could write your name on it same with TV and it was the worst night sleep as the bed was so uncomfortable it hurt our backs and told reception and all they said was we will get in touch with manger of house keeping about its shocking they are blaming the construction work for that but at the end of the day you knew you had guests coming to the room so why didn't they clean the room before our arrival not in pressed.

Significant construction work going on in car park which leads to chaotic parking and great difficulty in actually leaving. This seems very poorly managed. The actual meeting room is satisfactory, nothing special. Average hotel. Average meeting room… Terrible car park management.

Lovely hotel, out of the way overlooking the Tay in Dundee. Rooms are clean and well furnished. Breakfast is a good selection and hotel staff are friendly and helpful. I asked for a different vegetarian option for dinner and they happily made something else for me.

Stayed as we were attending a Worcester Bosch function. Hotel was fine — perfectly clean, nothing broken, no-one rude, facilities adequate. It's just a wee bit dated & tired. No real spark or modern feel to it — but it may suit certain people. Couldn't say anything bad — but would Defo try somewhere else next time in Dundee.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, nice evening meal and good value for money. A little too far from Dundee to go out there for a meal or drinks but prices are not bad. Would recommend.

Stayed at Invercarse for a wedding reception. Wedding reception was fantastic, stunning views from the ballroom and very well organised. Our room was a bit small but fine for a 2 night stay.

Martina and her team, organised a wonderful wedding for my son and new daughter — in — law this winter, the whole experience from service, organisation, quality food and wine was flawless from start to finish Many thanks on making this day exceptional for all concerned.

First time ive stayed in the hotel and the room was lovely was really nice breakfast was excellent would defo recommend invercarse.

Bedroom dated and bed uncomfortable. Breakfast good selection but waitress slow. Asked for coffee but was brought tea. When brought to her attention she took tea away but never replaced it with coffee. Dinner menu boring and not anything special. Had expected better after reading about excellent cook. Disappointed. Coffee shop across road in Botanic Garden worth a visit for nice cakes and toasties etc.

We had a lovely overnight stay in May attending a family 70th birthday party. We had a beautiful meal and staff were very professional, helpful and friendly. The hotel has a lovely outlook over the river Tay and has a very friendly comfortable atmosphere. The rooms were good and the beds were very comfortable. Lots of choice at breakfast with fully cooked if preferred. Would definitely stay again.
