We had a fantastic stay during storm Arwen and the front of house staff were superb under the pressure the storm brought on top of the normal day to day issues of running a hotel. Great rooms, Food was fab as was the wine and Peroni. Thanks and we will definitely be back.

Avoid if you drive! car park is not secure despite assurance on the website and by staff. My stay in the hotel would be ok, but my car has been damaged during the stay. One of the key reasons why I had chosen the hotel was because it was advertised to have a secure car park. I was, however, directed to the NCP overflow car park. I wasn't advised until after the incident, that the overflow car park doesn't have CCTV at all. Management was not helpful in resolving the issue and do not take any responsibility. Seems like the only way to talk to them is via solicitors. Shame it must cost everyone much more money and time than absolutely necessary.
Being Hilton Honors gold member doesn't seem to make any difference.
Taking the train? You can consider this. Driving in? Avoid!

Great location staff are lovely and friendly too. Got a room by the main road but you could not hear the traffic.

Stayed on a Saturday night. Nice quiet hotel, located central to everything. Short walk to most of the places you want to visit in Dundee. Clean and comfortable. Staff were excellent. Breakfast was buffet style and with a good selection.
Parking is limited but a multistorey is just round the corner at £5 a day.
2 very minor things on out stay. The Hilton app said £5 parking but we were charged £6, and no menus of what could be ordered from the kitchens in the room. (Like I said VERY minor but being honest.
Would we go back? … Yes definitely.

I've stayed in a few Hampton by Hilton hotels and the standards tend to be very high. The room here in Dundee was typically immaculate and the staff were delightful, but breakfast was very disappointing. There wasn't much choice and it wasn't very warm. But all in all a good stay.

Very friendly staff that answered each question calmly and for the voice of strangers. The entire Hotel is very clean, tidy and well maintained. The rooms are equipped with a very fast and stable Wi-Fi, air-conditioning units and hygiene articles. The bathroom is spacious and the shower spacious. The Breakfast leaves nothing to be desired. The Hotel is also centrally located.

It’s clean, modern and perfectly functional as a hotel. Rooms are a tad small for my liking but fine for one. TVs are modern and large. Shower and toilet room nicely done with fixed soap and shampoo dispensers. Breakfast adequate and dining area open, light and clean.

This hotel was perfect for our overnight stay. The location is within easy walking distance from the station and attractions. Staff are welcoming and helpful. Our room was very comfortable, spacious and bright with tasteful decor. It came with everything we could need. There are plenty of USB charge points, temperature easy to control in the room and the bathroom with wonderful shower and quality toiletries & beautifully fluffy towels. Breakfast was very pleasant, self service with a good selection of hot and cold items. I would highly recommend and look forward to returning.

Great hotel, perfect for our weekend away. Arrived at 6am on the day we were checking in (waaaay too early! ) and the brilliant staff member on front desk (who was at the end of a long night shift) was perfectly polite and gave us the first room available so we were in at 9am. Welcomed us to have a breakfast while we waited. Thanks Morgan — excellent service! Food was delicious — especially the waffle maker! Room was comfortable and was impressed with the stylish bathroom and roomy shower! Can't believe people have complained that there isn't shampoos etc in separate bottles — well done Hilton for being more eco-friendly instead of increase waste plastics! Super also to see that flannels are included as well as towels (very few hotels provide them! ) Night staff were also fabulous when we arrived back at 1:30am after a wedding event — served us at the bar and were really pleasant to chat to! We couldn't have asked for more, definitely value for money and made our weekend (which was cold and rainy! ) Thank you!

Good clean hotel with helpful staff. Bit of a walk from the station, but nice and central for the town. Breakfast is self service, good standard and varied. Rooms are nice and modern with good facilities. Food in the evening was reasonably priced and well made. Pretty good beers too.

Had an excellent two day stay here at the end of 2017. Very clean and modern interior, good service and central location. Only concern was the size of the car park however I had no problems parking on this occasion.

From the minute we arrived the service was excellent friendly welcoming staff at reception. The room was lovely very comfy bed slept really well. Facilities in room were of a high standard extremely powerful hairdryer. Breakfast was lovely lots of choices from your continental to your cooked breakfast I had just made my toast when I noticed the chef making fresh waffles covered in marshmallows and chocolate spread. It looked amazing and he offered to make a half one for me I declined but next time I stay there that’s what I’ll have for breakfast. I would recommend this hotel to all who come to visit Dundee as it is a hidden gem.

Only stayed one night and it was what you would expect from this type of city centre venue. Did not have a meal but breakfast was good enough with a fair selection of choice. Staff were friendly. Very disappointed that there was an additional charge for parking and this would be a consideration if returning as there are other local competitors that facilitate car users.

Rooms have walk in showers (no bathtub) and a descent bar in the lobby area. Walking distance to alot of good restaurants and pubs.

Excellent, professional welcome by reception, staff couldn't be any nicer. Very informative and helpful. Room was gorgeous, decent sized and very comfy bed. Usb wall sockets for charging mobiles. Restaurant staff are lovely, very attentive. Food arrived promptly and was lovely. A tad too much oil and garlic for me, but lovely nonetheless! Breakfast was a mixture of hot food, cereal, fruit, waffles and hot and cold drinks. Also very tasty. Can't speak anymore highly of this hotel, cannot fault a single thing. I would definitely recommend staying here. Think I will be back here next time I'm staying in Dundee.

Lovely hotel in a great location. The room was do nice and felt really luxurious. Lots of choice at breakfast. I especially loved the waffle maker! I would definitely stay here again!

Lovely new decor, comfortable room. Breakfast is all self-serve, not much choice. Cold plates, shortage of cutlery poor quality coffee produced by an unreliable machine. Food not up to temperature.

We stayed here for one night with our two children using Hilton points. The hotel is very clean and bright with plenty of comfortable booths and seating in the lounge.
Check in was fast and efficient and staff attentive and pleasant. Family room was perfect for needs, food layout, decent bathroom and impressive number of plug and USB points.
We had snacks and drinks in the bar and there's was no problem with the kids having their picnic tea in one of the booths.
Breakfast was buffet style, plenty of choice and the lady attendant was great with the kids.
All in all a lovely stay which exceeding our expectation as I believe Hampton is the budget line.

Very clean, Contemporary hotel. Comfortable beds and very nice staff. Drinks in the lobby and a good restaurant attached to the hotel.

Room was ok although aircon kept turning itself off, pillows dreadful! Restaurants was closed on a Tuesday night no explanation so we had to order food from the bar. My wife's beef burger was made of rubber and was inedible. She told staff and was offered another one which she refused and asked for just some chips which never arrived. Reception staff member finally offered her a 'free ' dessert (no refund offered for the £11 burger! ) which when it finally arrived was again inedible. We gave up and left. Honestly better food and service from a MacDonalds! Breakfast bacon was rubber as well. Would never recommend this hotel to anyone… should only be marketed with a health warning!

Room was ok bed comfortable. Hot water took 20 minutes to reach our room. Tuesday night and restaurant was closed? So made the mistake of ordering from the bar… beef burger died a year ago, asked for just some more chips as wasn't going to risk another burger. Chips never came. Was offered a 'free' dessert… again inedible. And £5 to park? This hotel is a joke.

Service and rooms are great. Parking is woefully inadequate for size of the hotel and the breakfast was poor.

Firstly as you walk through the door you are greeted by such friendly staff. The two boys that checked us in were Charlie and I think Josh (not sure if that's right). The room was just brilliant, shower fantastic. We will definitely be back for another visit. Xx.

The place is O. K. For a 3-star hotel. We were a little disappointed when we had to pay extra to park our car and to hear that the hotel restaurant was not working in the evening. It was also an unpleasant surprise to see that there were no sleepers in our room and no one-time use shampoo and soap bottles (shampoo/soap dispensers mounted on the wall). This gave a feeling as we were in a hostel. The room itself was nice, cozy and clean. It would have been nice if there were at least a bottle of water for each guest.

Initial impressions are good, but it is fairly new, the proof will be whether they maintain the hotel as well as they might a 'Standard Hilton'. Staff are friendly, hotel clean, rooms very nice with good showers (also taps are away from the head so you don't get an icy blast turning it on (nice design feature). Breakfast had excellent choice given the price point of the hotel. Stuff seemed to be replenished quite readily, waffle maker is a highlight. Only thing that is a bit of an issue is parking. It is a pro to get parking so close to town, but the spaces are quite tight. Seems there is a council car park a 3 min walk away so at least there is a contingency if you don't get a spot the night before. Lidl is well located across the road if you have forgot anything.

I had reservations having stayed in the Waterloo branch. Service was very pleasant and very nice atmosphere where complete strangers could start conversations. The room was kept ito a high standard and the complementary breakfast was extensive. This will be my hotel of choice when working in Dundee.

Stayed on Saturday night. Hotel is beautifully styled and the colours throughout are right up my street. Rooms clean and tidy, the fitness suite has enough equipment to make it worth your while! Restaurant food was amazing and we loved it. Venison cooked to perfection as was my partners poussin. He had the sticky toffee pudding — which was divine too! Room was well laid out and plenty of towels. Shower was spacious and clean. I felt breakfast was a bit of a free for all but it is buffet style after all. I would of liked tomato/mushrooms, but plenty of other tasty treats available. THe bacon was lovely and lean. Our only comment (not complaint) was the fact that the air conditioning did not work despite asking staff about this earlier in the evening. No maintainence staff over this weekend? Pillows not great — too soft although my partner said his were fine (should have taken his) When raised with staff about the A/C they took comments on board without question, and offered a drink and snack on our return.
We took full advantage of the facility:
Bar — awesome cocktails, local brewed gins. Restaurant-beautful tasty well presented food.
Gym — well stocked for worthwhile workout but where was the remote control for the telly?
Shopping and entertainment on the doorstep.
Had a great stay and will defineately be back again. Oh staff were really courteous, friendly and accommodating. Mark n Denese.

All new Hotel, bedding at the top and personal care. Ideally located in the heart of Dundee. It smells new and C is very well soundproofed … Excellent value for money and breakfast included!

Stayed there 6/4/17 just for 1 night, very modern with swipe card lifts, we had a room on the 3rd floor over looking a main roundabout, sat and watched the traffic and the day go by. Very clean but the drinks are a bit pricey. Apart from that we will go back. This IS a Orel you must try, don't know why it says free parking, it's £5/night.

Exactly what you'd expect from a Hilton chain. Clean, tidy, very well presented. Nice helpful staff and easy to find. Only thing to watch out for is the car park is pretty small, however there is a couple of multi-story car parks just over the road which costs the same as the hotel charge for theirs, so no issue anyway.
