Just back from a lovely stay at Bunchrew House. We were only there one night but had a wonderful time. Beautiful building with an interesting history. Gorgeous setting — even in the rain! The staff were so warm and welcoming — the place has a really relaxing atmosphere. We had lunch and breakfast and the food was amazing. We will return and have dinner next time!

Superb afternoon tea at Bunchrew House today 1pm in the dining room. Sumptuous home baking and the haggis sausage rolls were divine. Very welcoming and friendly staff — so professional and attentive. Friends visiting really enjoyed their afternoon tea experience and lovely talking with staff who were also there 30 years ago. Highly recommended.

Very romantic restaurant and very nice view.

Had afternoon tea there, lovely but far too many cakes (7 each) and only 2 small rolls, 1 small square of foccia, small slice of sausage roll and a fruit scone. Would be much better if given a choice of more savoury than sweet. Lovely setting and unlimited tea and coffee, would recommend to people only with a very sweet tooth.

Stunning location, stunning room with a view you’ll never tire of staring at. The food though is just extraordinary — the best I have ever water — the chef a genius. The staff are really lovely and the bar & restaurant areas are cosy Scottish and gorgeous. Just superb!

I have had such an amazing time…. The stuff are friendly, the atmosphere is superb and the food is yummy…I highly recommend.

We absolutely loved it — everything about it. The staff is lovely, the accommodations are very comfortable, and the food was stunning. The grounds are well kept. The views of Inverness are really wonderful. We had a very peaceful stay. Wish we would have booked it for a couple more days. 🙂

Beautiful place grounds immaculate amazing views greeting on arrival friendly room spotless absolutely tastefully decorated the gentlemen on front desk went over and above to accommodate requirements recommend highly.

Nice dog friendly restaurant whether you want fine dining or bar food. We chose fine dining and were not disappointed, food was great as was the service.

We’ve visited for an over night stay, the house is beautiful, lovely staff and the bar is great. Fabulous gardens to explore.

It was so lovely to return here today with my best friend to experience their gorgeous afternoon tea. A fantastic selection of sandwiches, scones, pastries and cakes. As per usual we both took a doggy bag home to share with our husbands! Excellent customer service as is only to be expected at this wonderful hotel. Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic stay at Bunchrew this weekend with our two young kids. The room was spacious and ideal for a family. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the setting/views were great too. We will definitely be back!

A wonderful location, with a beautiful drive and waterside! The building is some 300 years old, and the building/grounds are very well maintained. There are also a number of "Cedar of Lebanon" trees from the Eastern Mediterranean. Rather expensive but a lovely experience.

Loved it, old charm, quiet place with water views. Each room decorated in different tartan. Restoran is fine dining. Very enjoyable.

Wonderful Scottish-Castle-Style hotel in secluded grounds on the banks of the Moray Firth. Amazing setting & atmospheric, historic building.

We were delighted with the setting that this house offers us unfortunately it was short-lived. Arrived in the room a deafening noise that comes from the kitchen located just below. We ask to change rooms and it is not possible the only thing they know how to do is apologize. The French are they good pears anyway that was my feeling coming here.

Visited in evening with fog incoming off water, had drink at bar then dinner, so views limited / areas of hotel seen, also limited. However, meal great, as was service. Definitely a place of high quality.

Here is an example of a near perfect hotel. The building is an historical monument while all facilities such as bathroom, beds, etc. Are modern. Rooms are huge. View is amazing. We are a couple and came with my mother as well. We booked 2 rooms. Service is also great. We will certainly come again and again…

The chateau is very nice outside but I was disappointed with the price… Very expensive for what is offered, the rooms are not in perfect condition and small. When you pay that price, you expect much better.
However the exteriors are nice, the view is nice and the breakfast is very very good!

I was lucky enough to win afternoon tea here for two. Wow I was amazed at the amount and quality of the food. The scones were to die for. With an added bonus of a glass of Prosecco, what more could a girl ask for. Lovely staff too who treated us the same as the paying guests.

Perfect place for a country getaway, like being transported back through time. Amazing suite overlooking the water.

Stunning location with beautiful spacious rooms. Perfect for a relaxing break, though a couple of things you should know in advance: — The hotel is not close to any local amenities and there's no footpath to walk to the nearest town. If you don't have a car, you really have to rely on taxis everywhere. — The restaurant, while good quality food, is very expensive. Maybe nice to have once as a treat, but it would be too much to eat here every evening. Combined with the above point, it's worth remembering to bring back a sandwich when you're out during the day. — The rooms can get a little cold in the winter. — The Wi-Fi was a bit flakey at times. However, it really is an amazing location and the rooms are very reasonably priced for what they are. The staff are also very accommodating. We were able to arrive at 11am and they had already got our room ready. They were happy to carry my luggage and phone taxis too. Would love to come back here and stay again!

Staff are very pleasant and look after you. The hotel is a Small Country Hotel with Excellent views. It is a nice setting for a Wedding.

Spent a delightful evening at Bunchrew. The setting is beyond words. Dinner was delicious, The staff were friendly and extremely efficient. Will definitely return.

Scottish country house hotel located right on the banks on the Beauly Firth. Rooms are large, clean and well finished. The staff were all great. Dinner and the traditional breakfast were both delicious. The bar and communal areas are really cozy and welcoming. I could understand people saying it is in need of modernisation and TLC but personally I found it added to the charm. I would recommend a boat trip on a RIB down the Moray FIrth to see the dolphins (if you are lucky) but wrap up warm and the water is choppy.

A beautiful and traditional Scottish country house located in a stunning position on the banks on the Beauly Firth. Rooms are fabulously spacious, well appointed and elegantly finished. The hospitality was absolutely superb and faultless. The four course dinner was lavish and sumptuous, as was breakfast the following morning. The bar is cosy and well stocked, and the drawing room a lovely place to retire with a good book.

The hotel is beautiful, really clean and in a amazing place. Food is good too, but a little bit pricy.

Stayed here for a wedding and had an amazing time.

Great traditional food with very high quality service. Enjoyed our dinner here very much. The venison was amazing and perfectly cooked and the baba was a nice end to the meal. Cheese portion was huge and probably should be split. Beautiful view and tons of available parking.

I loved my stay here. My mother and I stayed here for a couple of nights on our trip around Inverness. We spent an entire day at the hotel just relaxing. The staff were amazing. They were very helpful and attentive. They were easy to talk to and find whenever we needed something. The place was very laid back and relaxed; we never felt out of place in our jeans. We got afternoon tea and it was excellent. Too bad we didn't have room for the 2 or 3 course dinner that night. We opted to just get the soup and it was the best soup we ever had. We even got it with handmade bread. It was so relaxing and calming. The grounds were beautiful. The only reason I am taking one star off is because of a couple things with the room. We lost power at one point (but only for a couple of minutes). The Wi-Fi was a bit weak and took some trying to get it to work. The fan in the bathroom was quite loud and the hot water was slow in the bathtub and sink. But these things were so small compared to the hotel as a whole. The room had a lovely view over the front of the building. The common areas were lovely with fireplaces and plenty of comfortable seating and tables. I would gladly stay here again and am considering it for my honeymoon!

Very Beautiful building and our suite was very nice with great furnishings. The bar and dining areas are great places to spend the enjoy a drama and a meal. The breakfast was excellent as well. The grounds and location are very nice to walk around with an excellent view of the water.

Absolutely amazing! Incredibly wonderful staff, views and accommodations. Every meal prepared by a VERY talented chef. I can't recommend this enough for anyone wanting a quiet and peaceful stay in the Scottish highlands!

Wonderful looking place on the side of the Moray Firth set in large gardens. Dog friendly. Best described as faded elegance there is a need to update and refit the rooms, and the gardens need a lot of work — which has begun. Food exceptional but not cheap. Staff very welcoming and accommodating. Lovely romantic getaway woth fabulous views.

This was a great location. The staff could not be more helpful and welcoming. We took our dog which they were more than okay with. The rooms were well equipped. We payed for bed and breakfast. The breakfast was very good. The ground we pleasant to walk around. And the views over the Firth were good too. I would gladly re visit again.

My husband took me here for a suprise weekend break, the hotel and staff were lovely. I am a very fussy eater but the chef and staff went out of their way to accomodate and I never felt like I was being a pain. It is expensice but for a short break it was well worth it, loved every minute would definatly recommend. Thanks To All At Bunchrew House.

My Bride and I were married here. With most of my family from the U. S. And my wifes from northern Europe, Bunchrew House made our wedding day absolutely superb! From arrival all the guests were treated great, the wedding was beutifully outfitted by the Hotel, the dinner was 5 star with all the courses and waitstaff at the top of thier game. EVERYTHING was fantasitc. I will be returning for our 10 year reunion just to stay and if anyone asks I would reccomend this venue. It was a true fairytale wedding in a castle. Thank you Bunchrew House and staff.

Very nice place. Small, only 15-20 rooms but you have room to move. Brilliant rooms. Cracking food. Tad expensive but for a special occasion it is a great place to spend a night.
