Arrived at sorry notice for dinner. Venison casserole was terrific. Staff very friendly and attentive. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

Fantastic service. We were a party of 13 and the staff couldn't have been more accommodating — they're fab and will do whatever they can to help. The food was lovely and really reasonable, and the hotel has a really homely atmosphere. We would highly recommend the Glen Hotel.

We didn't stay at the hotel as staying in a hostel, but the 9 of us did get into the restaurant around 20:45 (15 mins before food service stopped). Very accommodating, drinks were cold and food was hot. 10/10. Many thanks.

This was a great find on a Sunday afternoon in Newtonmore. Recommended by another hotel in the area the food is fab, enormous portions, really tasty and great value. Highly recommend the chicken club sandwixh, can't wait to come back and try the dinner menu.

Service was friendly and helpful! Steak and ale pie was quiet nice! The ribs were fine. A bit basic but meat was cooked okay. Fries were a bit disappointing. We were in a rush and nothing much else was open, so it was fine enough. I've had better pub food but I've also had way worse, so this was fine for an average basic quick meal.

Went there just for food and drinks. Amazing portions, tasty food and this chocolate cake was huge and sweet! Love it, great choice of beer.

Best value hotel in Scotland. We have stayed in more extravagant places that cost more, but this place is comfy shoes at the end of a long day. Good, rich food. Always popular. Excellent rooms, all of the basics included.

Good location Great room, good bedding and bathroom perfectly clean and good condition! No complaints. We ate at the restaurant of the hotel, decent meal but no more. Breakfast very good: full and possibility to have eggs, bacon, sausage etc…

One of the locals in our village. Pub quiz is great evening out every second Friday :) Great selection of drinks, food menu good as well, catering for a variety of dietary requirements.

Lovely atmosphere, great pub if you fancy anything from a casual drink to a challenging pub quiz every other Friday. Perfect place for a spot of grub too, good quality and fair prices. Lovely hotel to stay in, generous rooms with lovely breakfast and dinner options. The owners are lovely and accomidating as well as all the staff.

My daughter and I Stopped there for supper in August of 2013. We had just gotten off the train and the wind and the rain were terrible. Wewalked up the hill to the restaurant to call our B&B. We had a fantastic supper and the older who is tending the bar turned his duties over to someone else, and packed our bags into his car and took us to our B&B. What amazing wonderful people we met in Scotland and the owner of this place was one of them. And the food was absolutely amazing. ❤️Someday I will be back!

Brilliant village pub and hotel. We stayed for two nights in a lovely big room which was very clean and freshly decorated. Food was great and staff very friendly and accommodating. We were up early and out to go skiing and Chris and his team offered us little packed breakfast to take with us as we would miss the main breakfast service. I’ve been up this way on holiday since I was little and nothing changes about this place, food and staff remain fantastic.

Very nice hotel but don't stay in room number 5. When the wind blows you will not get to sleep unless you're rat arsed. Breakfast is excellent.

A lovely family run hotel in the highlands, with comfortable rooms, good bar food and a great selection of real ales and other drinks. Worth a visit!

Stayed here last weekend. Great hotel freindly staff great food. Room was amazing. Very clean and well contained. The bar had a very good selection of beers. Gins and whiskies. Willl visit again.

Great hotel typically Scottish with a very nice service the rooms are very clean only bemol on the bedding: a mattress a little too soft for my taste.
In addition there is a food service whose meals are excellent and they offer Highland beers to the pressure! The Scottish breakfast is remarkable (the continental much less).
It's a great place.

Went here for a meal and a few drinks for the last week with my husband and couldn't fault anything. The food was great, lovely atmosphere and the staff are first class. Would recommend to anyone and can't wait to visit again when we're back in the area.

So friendly and welcoming. Stopped in for lunch on the way to the train station with our children. Steak Baguette was amazing! Also really helpful and full of local knowledge, gave us a map and suggested a lovely walk to do while waiting for our train!

I really like a my visit and the staff was very kind and helpful. I enjoyed the beds and food situation was very well executed because I am vegetarian and normally there is not a wide variety but here, the veggie options were many and tasty. The only problem I had was the Wi-Fi-hipefully in the near future, the Wi-Fi will be easier to connect to and I can have a smoother expirience with it next time. Overall, I enjoyed my stay and I hope I can stay at this hotel next time I visit Scotland!

We booked here in 2017 2 nights and are very happy. The beds are comfortable the bathroom sufficiently large and with modern shower. Only the loo flushing is pretty mau. Somehow the Brits can't build any sensible toilets
Breakfast is plentiful and delicious. In the restaurant you can have a good dinner. Orientation local cuisine and Thai cuisine. Does not taste world-shattering for British standards but really good.
I can recommend the hotel in any case.

We stopped in to the Glen Hotel for dinner on our way through, the service was prompt and the food was very good. Wide menu complimented by a wide specials board.

I wasn't expecting much as we arrived in the car park. The Hotel looks a bit like a pub with an outside eating area. However once we got in we were pleasantly surprised. All the staff were very friendly and our room was lovely, very spacious. The bed was really comfortable with real feather pillows. We had dinner in the restaurant, vegetarian chilli with quorn, Nachos, sour cream and Jalapeno peppers — the presentation was great too, with black and white rice. It tasted lovely. All in all it was a great night's stay. Only sorry we couldn't stop for a second night.

Probably the best bed and breakfast I have ever stayed in. If you book with them direct, you get 10% back to spend at the bar/on food. We have come here 6 times over the last 7 years, and every time was superb. We always look forward to the evening meals here, as they are always brilliant, proper food. Our only minor complaint in previous years were that the rooms were looking a bit dated, but this year they have redecorated and renovated some of them and now that aspect is brilliant too.

We had the loveliest stay in the Glen Hotel. The staff are so nice and friendly and the pub offers very nice food and local beer. Our room was very nice and had an ensuit bathroom with a bath! Breakfast consisted of freshly and custom made Scottish breakfast and you could also choose cereal, bread with ham and cheese, fruit salad and some juice. Would definitely recommend and will repeat if we go back to the Highlands!

It is popular, especially the restaurant, so book in advance. The old pool-room now caters as an extended dining area and even the breakfast room at times. So there should be fewer disappointments!
Comfy rooms good food and atmosphere. Perfect location for stunning walks and testing climbs just outside the door.

Beautiful food and fantastic service but I didn't enjoy it as much as I could've as there was a very loud table next to us who chose to use its bar aspect which is fair enough. Not quite a bar… not quite a restaurant.

I have had a number of very pleasant meals at the Glen Hotel in Newtonmore. It was here that I had my first haggis, and all tastes since have suffered by comparison!

The Glen hotel is a lovely little hotel which does amazing food. There is a larger than you expect menu as well as daily specials. The food itself seems to be all homemade and is extremely nice, very much a must if you are visiting. Its best to book if you do want to eat as it gets busy for dinner. There is a good selection of local beers, all priced around the £3.50 mark. The staff are very friendly and the service is quick. There is a pool table and a darts board which is a nice way to see the evening out. All in all would certainly recommended.

Lovely food, great variety on the menu. Staff accidently served my two year old an adult portion of food and charged us for the adult portion. Unfortunate mistake but we all enjoyed our meal anyway.

Accommodation is quite nice but the meals were the worst food I've had after three weeks travelling in Scotland. Just awful. No idea about service downstairs either. So glad to leave this hotel.

Quaint, friendly, very clean hotel. Staff really helpful. Stayed in the three person, two room combo, fantastic value, food wonderful and the period bathroom fittings (70s) need to be seen! We'll definitely be back.

I suggest you include dinner when you book your rooms. You get very good food cheaper than dining a la carte. You are also assured of a table. The bar and dining room were full on the Thursday and Friday nights we stayed here in May, 2009. The staff is friendly and helpful. My wife and I slept well. One night two people woke my son with loud talk outside his room at 2:00am, but we heard no noise from the street like we had in several hotels in England on this trip.
