Had lovely High Tea tonight with lots of yummy cakes. Will be back!

Booked in for the weekend for the golf open, but circumstances beyond our control meant we only stayed Saturday night. Staff were brilliant nice full Scotish breakfast to start the day. Lovely surroudings and central for railway station. When we came to pay the bill they only charged us for 1 night instead of 2 nights. Which was a bonus for us. Would reccomend this hotel to friends and family and if I was in the area again would book a reservation.

Very small room but lovely breakfast window in room wouldn't stay open.

Very friendly staff, food was excellent and the room was clean and well presented. Highly recommended and will be back for another visit soon.

A "so British" charm. Very nice. It was well worth a small detour and a small village just as friendly.

Enjoyed our stay at the Woodside. Room was comfortable, food was excellent and all staff very friendly.

Apparently under new management. We booked a table for four. Have to say. None of us was impressed. We sat outside initially but had to go right back inside to get our own menus and drinks to fetch back out. We moved inside instead — less traipsing. There were probably only four tables being served including ours yet the service was pretty slow. Main chap serving was good but clearly stretched. The other two working with him looked like they'd rather have been somewhere else. Food was so-so. I had the fish and chips. Really small portion and more batter than fish. Didn't bother with dessert. Apparently the soup was good. Overall, average food, not great service, almost zero atmosphere. Don't see us going back somehow.

The staff was clearly aimed at making the customer happy. We were allowed to check in a few hours early so we could rest up from the trip. The couple who owns this hotel was extremely helpful in giving us tour tips and ways to get into Edinburgh by train instead of driving. Just a short walk from the train station, we walked both days to the station with a light walk back to the hotel when we returned. Located in a charming village, it was near everything and far enough away to be comfortable. Highly recommend this hotel. Truly a hidden gem…!

This is one of the most enjoyable pubs I have ever been in. The staff are amazing, the atmosphere is the best. We keep on going back, and always will.

Location was beautiful however the room was on the small side and bathrokm was the size of the room. Staff where lovely and easy to speak with. Variety of breakfast and meals where at dinner where 5*.

Nice sized double room and surprisingly quiet at night, good off road parking, very arractive drinking and dining areas.

Beautiful hotel in a perfect location owners and all staff are so friendly and always make you feel welcome.

Stayed Friday to Monday. Lovely basic clean room and good hearty breakfast. Most of all though the friendly staff and service was spot on and very welcoming. Many thanks.

From the palm trees outside to the tasteful decor inside the Woodside is an absolute gem and suitably situated in delightful Aberdour. We had some drinks which were very reasonably priced and were disappointed we could not stay for food. Next time for sure!

Old fashioned but good service and good food.

Very friendly staff. The room was small but okay, though the bathroom could use some remodeling. No Wi-Fi password was to be found in the room brochure.

My husband and I stayed at the Woodside hotel on our wedding night and they hosted our wedding dinner in the Clipper room. All our guests and ourselves were very satisfied with our rooms, they were clean, practical and have a gorgeous scottish feel to them! Regarding the dinner, the Clipper room is absolutely stunning and the tables were nicely prepared for our dinner. The food was excellent and the service as well! Sheila from the reception was also very helpful in helping us book the rooms for our guests and organising our wedding dinner! Thank you!

I went to the Woodside Hotel on Mother's Day with my wife, 2 children and my mum & dad. We had booked a table for High Tea. The service was prompt and friendly. We all ordered fish & chips for the main course and all thought it was very good. Next up was out tea, scones & cakes. All fresh and very tasty. I think it was £11.95 for each adult and the kids, under 5, ate for free. The restaurant is very nice as it was part of an old boat and moved to the hotel. All in all we had a very nice afternoon and an excellent High Tea.
