What a fabulous find! the town is lovely and the hotel is a real find. We have a beautiful large room… and all the little touches make you feel that you, as the customer, has been really thought about! it's clean and spacious, warm and inviting. We've just had some lunch which was fabulous… resting now before tea time! A genuine find and would highly recommend.

Lovely friendly hotel. The room is excellent and value for money all round.

The bedroom was really lovely, with a sofa and fully equipped tea/coffee making facilities, a lot of biscuits and even a bowl of chocolates and fresh flowers. Comlimentary bottles of water and coca cola! The bathroom was great too. The most outstanding feature was the extremely helpful, cheerful ray of sunshine, Larissa, who showed us our room and served us our dinner.

One of the finest experiences I have had and my friends and I have stayed in a great many small hotels. The facilities, the staff, the additional extras in the rooms (how many times have you had a bowl of chocolates in your room), I can fault absolutely nothing, will certainly be returning.

A year ago today we were married and would like to thank Paul, Jane and the team for making our day very special. The food was exceptional, great attention was paid to decorating and dressing the bar and tables and all the staff went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a great and memorable day. It was an easy choice for us as we always enjoy good service and get looked after well in the Balmoral Hotel.

This hotel exceeded my expectations! The rooms are spacious and clean. The food is great and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Brilliant hotel we took 2 dogs with us and were put up in one of the cottages. We also had our mother with us in the cottage as we came for a wedding. The accommodation was excellent room was a great size and spotlessly clean beautiful bathroom and a great size. They certainly cater for families with pets with them. They have bowls of water outside for your pets and also a separate eating section within the hotel for you to eat in order that your pets are not near customers who don't have pets. The breakfast was amazing and would highly recommend this hotel to my friends. Great price too for An overnight for the 3 of us and 2 dogs would certainly go back.

This is a great hotel for a stopover. Very spacious and well equipped rooms. Moffat is close to the motorway. Choice of places to eat. Nice town. Some decent shops.

Warmest of welcomes, wonderful accommodation and fantastic food. If you get the chance to stay at the Balmoral Hotel in Moffat… do! Its a gem of a hotel in a beautiful area. Well worth a visit.

Fantastic service, a lovely comfortable room with all the facilities and plenty of nice extra touches. A lovely hearty breakfast to set you up for the day. All in all a great place to stay with wonderful staff.

Very helpful staff, spacious room and nice.

Brilliant rooms, with spacious bathrooms, seating area and plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits. Also liked the Quality Streets. The fridge had water and coke in too. The staff were first class, friendly and very helpful. I've stayed in places as good as this but nowhere better, especially given the price. TY to all who made our stay so enjoyable.

An excellent B&B hotel; our over night en suite room was clean, well appointed and we were text when the room was ready early for us to use in preparation for a wedding. Also had a small kitchen with complimentary food and drink snacks. Good breakfast choice. Lovely polite service from staff. All round great value… and the bar had no TV… a true pub experience. Enjoy.

Stayed here last night on our way up to Oban from North Wales. We are going up to the Highland Cattle Show and Sale.
Usually go straight all the way up but decided to take our time as had things to do at home with our own highland cattle before setting off.
Arrived about 6.30pm to a busy hotel but got seen to right away and shown to our room on the top floor. Room 5.
Absolutely lovely room, comfortable well dressed bed, room for a sofa, complimentary box of chocolates, very well stocked tea tray — loads of biscuits! Hubby (hungry farmer) always checks that out first! Fridge with milk, coke and water. Huge beautiful en suite with dressing gowns. Honestly above and beyond expectations.
There was a 'do' on last night across the way in the town hall and it was a bit noisy, but we aren't grumpy and it didn't bother us. Slept well in a comfy bed — woke a few times as was too warm, should have adjusted the radiator.
Breakfast this morning was lush, clearly fresh ingredients (we're farmers and know our sausage and egg! ) Good bacon, good sausage and good egg! Really enjoyed it! Thank you.
We go to Scotland a lot and you will be on our stopover list.

A lovely cosy place with great food and pleasant helpful staff. The atmosphere is so friendly and the toilets are very clean.

We are at the pub just inside and it was delicious! Traditional fish and chips :) Waitstaff was so kind and polite. Nearly no wait for lunch.

Is it worth the damage to your trade? Nearly 83, 000 people have signed the petition for the cancellation of the cruel Moffat sheep race and will be supporting Help get the sheep race cancelled and protect your reputation and revenue.

Good choice from the menu. Very tasty and excellent value.

Friendly people and value for money.

Great place for a stopover. The cottages at the back had plenty of space for our twins, who were given two travel cots with no problems, and the enclosed gardens perfect for combining playing with a nice pint for weary parents. Pretty and friendly: the new garden has delightful birds and flowers and it's so nice to be so central and close to the pub. Top breakfast. Would be five stars if the mattresses were softer and there was cutlery and crockery in the kitchen. But the staff were helpful with anything we asked for. Lovely place.

Called in to take advantage of their Fish and Chips Meal Offer. Food was good. Service friendly. Wait time was had by little long, but overall very happy with the cost etc.

Stayed many times over the years and yet to find a better hotel for good value. The bedrooms are bright and clean with good beds tea/coffee and nibbles are provided. The food is good value with a good choice, breakfast is also tasty. Will visit in the future as its location is good for people heading both north or south. The parking is also free.
