Lovely ambience, staff and spotless hygiene standards adhered to in tricky times. Must be hard just now to make a living, but how nice to be touring the area and happen upon this gem.

Food was very good, reasonably priced. Staff very friendly.

Spent an awesome night at the Craft Hotel in Jan 2020, great food, atmosphere and staff! … wish we had been in town for longer! … highly recommend, and we’ll be back!

Just popped in for a spot of lunch, this place is stunning… sat by an open fire warming our feet whilst being looked after by an amazing waitress… food was stunning. We ordered nuggets for my daughter, homemade and tasted amazing… our sandwiches were all amazing. If you ever find yourself in the area pop in, just cant teccomend it enough.

Scottish friendliness and hospitality is at its best here in this cosy, relaxed hotel. The home cooked food is delicious, with specials most days, super large servings and is also excellent value for money. Sharon, Jock and the team genuinely want you to feel welcome and happy here and I guarantee you’ll soon feel like an old family friend. It has very comfortable rooms too. The Craft is like a home away from home in this most beautiful and unspoilt part of Scotland.

Been on holiday in Dumfries & Galloway this week & this establishment has been amazing. Roaring coal & peat fire, friendly staff & great home cooked food with an extra quality to it. Would definitely recommend this hotel for an evening meal or a nice cosy drink! We shall be back — 5*

Called in for a drink after visiting town. My son looked the place up on tripadvisor which had excellent reviews. A charming girl called Abbie served our drinks and we decided to stay and eat there. I was very impressed with drink and food prices. The food quality was excellent. Better than your normal pub grub and presented superbly.

Small village hotel / inn, situated in the center of the village / town. Friendly staff nothing fancy, but functional. Fantastic Chilli dish. Hot just how I like it.

Dogs welcome, decent beer and brilliant staff who are very accommodating in that they're willing to cook food outside of normal times etc.

Great pub/b&b in the heart of town. Accommodation was simple, clean and comfortable. Food was tasty and very reasonable. A good selection of beers and spirits with live music and a roaring fire the whole weekend. When we arrived the place had just been taken over by new management, a lovely couple who really went out of their way for us. Would definitely come back for another lazy weekend some time.

£10 a head for a 2 course pub style meal. Great value and a hearty plateful. Nice selection of local ales and great staff make this friendly pub well worth a visit when in Wigton.

Living locally it is good to show your visitors what the area has to offer and last night The Craft did that in spadefuls. Great food, friendly crowd, live music and a lovely Uruguayan waitress. Credit to you Carl.

I have been visiting the Craft for a few months now and can highly recommend both the food, rooms and the service. Carl and his staff are always good company and more than happy to help you whilst visiting the area with good local knowledge etc.

Over for a couple of nights for a family wedding, the rooms are clean and large with great facilities, the food is great and the hotel itself is a beautiful place the owner and manager are the icing on top of the already fabulous experience, warm friendly and very accommodating we will definitely be returning I highly recommend a stay.

We were visiting from Newcastle for the Easter weekend and visited the pub Friday and Saturday for drinks and Sunday for a meal. The service was outstanding all occasions. We had 3 kids and 3 dogs with us and were all
made to feel very welcome and the food on Sunday was delicious. Thank you for great service and food as it's made a great weekend for us all. We'll be back soon.

Really enjoyed the Reggae Night recently, the bar was a little under pressure for a while but that's a great thing! Would love to see a decent beer or a couple of decent beers for sale. I believe the best draught choice was Amstel which is fine, but a really high quality beer or two would get me back along more often. (Bottle or Draught. )

We are delighted to have the Kraft on our doorstep. Great food, very reasonable prices and a warm welcome from the staff. It would be hard to find a better "local".

Amazing little place with friendly staff and a fantastic world inspired menu. Street food inside, delicious!
