We had the best weekend of our lives staying with you guys this weekend for our wedding. Nothing was too much trouble, all the staff were great with a special shout out to the lovely Gill that held everything together and kept me calm! You even arranged the sunshine for us. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts.

We had a fantastic weekend staying at Springkell. The rooms are beautiful and spacious with wonderfully large, comfortable beds. Springkell also offers fantastic areas for socialising with other guests (in our case, friends and family who stayed too) with lovely views of the country side. The breakfast and dinner were delicious, with a number of wonderful dishes on offer with generous portion sizes. The more remote location offers beautiful walks, and stunning views of the stars if you get a clear night, however, you are still close enough to a number of towns for any other dining options, should you choose not to dine at Springkell. We had already booked Springkell for our wedding, but now are even more excited for our big day. We must also thank the staff for being so warm, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. We can't wait for our next stay! (being dog friendly is also a huge bonus! )

What an amazing venue! absolutely beautiful location and property. We stayed for the night to celebrate my mothers wedding and I cannot express how impressed we were throughout our whole stay. I big thank you Robert, nothing was too much trouble and you were so helpful, polite and professional. We hope to revisit soon and explore some more.

What a amazing weekend for my daughters wedding. Jill and team were excellent looking after Stephanie and Ryan keeping them on the right track. The staff were courteous friendly and just a super team looking after us all from the Friday right through to the Sunday. Wow absolute beautiful a true hidden gem. Situated amongst wonderful gardens, that smell amazing. A truly personal service and attentiveness is given to each guest, with wonderful staff and James the owner who is truly passionate about his ancestral home and offerings great personal service to every guest. Myself, my husband and my Mum stayed here for a night in May (with our hound 🐶 Abercrombie). What can I say, absolutely amazing place. Stunning location, beautiful rooms and interior, amazing service and a friendly welcome. The home has been given lots of attention to detail with tranquil bar & lounge and even a games room for the young people! The most relaxing and peaceful place I’ve stayed for a long time. Staff are fantastic and very accommodating, James the owner can’t do enough for you during your stay, beautiful surroundings and grounds for lovely walks, so much to sight see local and the most fantastic honeymoon we have experienced! Thank you Springkell.

My husband and I had an amazing 2 night stay here after our wedding on the 14th and 15th of November. We couldn't fault a thing the food was amazing and all members of staff were very helpful especially Erin who made us feel right at home. We stayed in one of the honeymoon suites which was perfect and gave us the ideal spot to chill out after such a hectic few days. Thank you so much for everything you did to make our couple of days special. We will definitely be back.

I just absolutely love this place! An amazing house, beautiful food and fabulous staff. Cannot wait to get married here in 2022. We had to move our date due to COVID and I’m so happy that we have manage to re arrange with Springkell. We wouldn’t want to get married anywhere else.

Wow what an incredible place. After hoteling around the 4 corners of planet Earth, I have seen my fair share of beauty and wonderment. This place only a few hours from our house in the grand scheme of things was absolutely magical and enchanting. The drive through the grounds and over a babbling brook reveal a magnificent stately home. Once inside the decor is very grand and opulent and you are soon met with the warmth and charm of the lovely staff. We had the honey moon sweet as we had just got engaged, the room the view the decor were just to die for. And the food was simply exquisite. We have only been once but we are now regulars as we can’t wait to visit again. Simply beautiful ❤️

Springkell House was the perfect venue for our wedding, we cannot recommend it enough. The owner and his staff made us feel incredibly welcome and they took a lot of the stress from us in preparation of the big day. My favourite part of the event was having our family and friends close to us the night before and spending time with them in front of the fire place. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable, the grounds are stunning and the food is amazing. Thank you to everyone at Springkell for the most beautiful wedding that we will keep very fond memories of.

Beautiful house with gorgeous rooms. Staff are lovely and service impeccable. Fantastic wedding venue. Having the whole house for the wedding gives the occasion a really family feeling.

We got married there last week, all the staff were amazing… thank you James but also big thanks to Fiona for putting up with our endless questions, Jill who was great on the day (and got us a wheelchair at last minute). Chefs were great dealing with some very tricky allergy issues and then the bar staff, especially Daryll and Erin who put up with 4 people at the bar till very late… much appreciated. Had a wonderful day at this amazing place and all our guests said how magical it was… can’t recommend it enough.

Visited by chance wanting something different not too far from M74. Beautiful setting, delightful house and excellent customer service. It was mid week so very quiet but the staff made us very welcome. Excellent room not en-suite but able use adjoining shower room. Excellent bath robes in case you bumped into someone en route to the bathroom. The room had a lovely view. Enjoyed a drink in the small bar but conscious of how quiet it was felt a little background music would have helped. Dinner was excellent the same as breakfast. It is advertised as a wedding venue and is certainly the ideal place but hadn’t fully appreciated how quiet it would be mid week. Needless to say the staff were brilliant and we would do it all again.

Springkell was the first venue we visited when looking for somewhere to get married, and we soon realised it was perfect for us.
As is clear from photos — Springkell House is stunning. The grounds and exteriors provide varied photo opportunities, and the rooms are beautiful. The brilliant natural atmosphere of the house meant that a few personal touches from our decorations were all we needed to make the space our own.
A highlight for us were the lounges, giving our guests the opportunity to relax and chat with a drink, choosing to move to and from the music and dancing of the main room as and when they liked. This meant that each of our guests got to come together and celebrate in a way that made them feel comfortable.
James, Fiona, and Jill were thoughtful and attentive throughout our engagement, whenever we had questions or needed to visit the house. On our wedding day, Jill was invaluable — her professionalism and humour make her such a calming presence. We couldn't imagine our day without her.
On top of this, the food was lovely and the bedrooms were comfortable and well cared for.
We cannot recommend Springkell enough, for any occasion.

Lovely manor house hotel. Great food, nice people and comfy rooms. Also nice and warm — an achievement in such an old and massive building. We were in an annex rather than the main building, which was cosy and stylish. I did hear that owing to the original design of the main building a few rooms had to share a bathroom down the hall. We were there for a friend's wedding and it was a great venue for that. The staff were friendly and helpful and the owner was on hand to make sure it all went smoothly. The grounds are beautiful, so ideal for photos.

Beautiful location. Services could be a tiny bit better. Staff are young and inexperienced so you might receive treatment that simply doesn't match the surroundings.

I absolutely loved my stay here. The grounds and building are truly beautiful and this makes a quirky getaway. The staff are friendly and great to talk to. I'd love to stay again and really explore the history, there are maps and documentation hung on the walls and visitors are welcome to roam the rooms and grounds at will. We even made friends with the resident dog. Breakfast was tasty wuth lots of choice from the cooked menu. Highly recommended place to stay… did I mention the four poster and the ensuite with a rooftop bath?

Well where do I begin… There is no words to thank you guys enough after our wedding on the 16th of June! The wedding day was perfect thanks to you, it ran so smoothly and was more than we had ever wished for!
The house and grounds are absolutely stunning and we got some amazing photographs. I even overheard a guest stating it was the best wedding they had ever been to.

James & Fiona for all your help organising and preparing for the big day, all our questions were answered and nothing was too much hassle.
Jill & Steve, you two are amazing, so friendly and welcoming. Again nothing was too much to ask and you ensured the day went perfectly with special touches throughout. (Steve serving mums meal was fantastic).
Your chef is absolutely amazing and everyone commented on how tasty the food was!
Special thanks also to all the waitressing and bar staff, you all work so hard!

Fantastic hotel and beautiful grounds. Quiet when we were there.

Stayed here on June 12, 2018 and had a great time. We arrived and took a long walk among the grounds. It was like traveling back in time imagining the life from the 1800s here and Springkell with all the history. The people were so warm and greeting, James is fantastic. We loved the people, we loved the food, we loved the place. If you want to stay at a place you will remember stay here.

Stayed open for us over Christmas and we are very glad they did. The owners are very welcoming and the property is stunning. An absolute must if you want something hight quality, personal and a little bit different.

Andrew and I got married here on 5th May and stayed for the bank holiday weekend. James and Fiona were great in helping us organise the day and accommodating our requests. When we arrived for the weekend we had a very warm welcome from Jill who was absolutely fantastic the whole weekend. There was nothing that was too much trouble, she was a super star and we had so many comments from people about how helpful she was. The venue itself was fantastic, the grounds and the building are unbelievable. It's great for the kids as they were able to play on the zip wire, trampoline and run around the grounds. The food was great and again nothing was too much trouble. James organised a mini highland games for the day after that was enjoyed by all. We had a fantastic weekend and our guests had nothing but positive things to say. It was everything we hoped for and more. Thanks again to James, Fiona and Jill and the rest of the team at Springkell. See you for our anniversary! xx.

A most beautiful venue, with stunning views. The owner, staff (lead by the lovely Jill) are extremely helpful and accomadating to all our requests. At the point of booking untiI our last moment in Springkell was wonderful. I highly recommend this venue if you want an intimate yet grand setting for your wedding or function. The rooms are impeccable! The decor was good, the place was clean. We had a two night stay with an evening meal on the 1st night and the food was lovely. The wedding breakfast was also a beautiful event. The venue also works with an amazing photographer called Duncan, what a jem he is. All in all I loved my stay at Springkell and I looked forward to visiting again soon!

It an absolutely fabulous place to stay. From being met bumybthe owner at check in to the young lady who gave us breakfast. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The house is splendid and surprisingly relaxing. It felt like staying in a home from home. Will definitely return.

Absolutely wonderful place. Fantastic staff. Well run establishment. Beautiful surroundings and splendid gardens. The proprietor was amazing in as much as nothing was any bother for him, his family and staff to help with and do for the wedding party and guests all the time we were there.

Springkell is the most perfect wedding venue. Within seconds of arriving, we knew we wanted to get married there. Fiona and James were so amazing up to the day, answering my numerous emails and helping as much as they could to make the day run smoothly and make it personal to us. Since our arrival on the Friday, the staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating. Gill was so excited to show us the dining room which she had decorated and laid out — it was the most beautiful room I'd ever seen. On the morning of the wedding, the staff let me have breakfast in my room with my parents which was lovely and made sure we were happy and had everything we needed all morning. Throughout the day, guests were commenting on how helpful the staff were and what a beautiful house it was. I am so glad we found Springkell — we will definitely be back for a future anniversary!

Wonderful views. Great gardens. We had a fantastic room. Food excellent too.

Great wedding venue, relaxed and friendly. Nothing was a big ask, you're pretty much free to roam around, each room is furnished to the styling of the house — no TV in the rooms so it forces you to be social! Shared bathrooms, but on our floor it was two bathrooms for 5 bedrooms. Grounds are stunning and well kept. Food was fantastic, be careful of the road in — one lady got stuck on our trip by taking a more "rural" entrance.

Beautiful manor house in lovely surroundings. Rooms and cottages are spotless and the staff are very friendly. Lovely place just to go and relax.

Stayed midweek for work. Stunning place superb food fantastic staff. Couple of minor points Wi-Fi code in the room would be good as there was no phone to contact reception to find out the code. And a TV in the room is a must for a midweek traveller.

We had our wedding here in May — James, Fiona, Sarah and the team were absolutely fantastic, 5 stars! Beautiful venue plus James is very hands-on both in the run up and on the day, from greeting our guests as they arrived to directing our band where to set up. It's was great having the whole place to ourselves for the weekend, plus getting married outside (thanks sunshine! ) was a real bonus!

Stayed here in late May 2016. Most wonderful experience it was. It is like staying in your own private mansion with a 100 acres to explore. Beautiful quiet and large rooms with beautiful tasteful decor and four poster beds will make you feel like a king or queen. Amazing service. The owners are warm and welcoming and eager to please. They made an itinerary for us and recommendations of where to go in scotland. The whole family are wonderful people. Thank you for opening your stunning home for us! And last but not least — the food was absolutely amazing and felt like we had our own private chef as there was only 1 other person staying at the mansion with us at that moment. The BEST lamb I have EVER had. And I've had it every where. Breakfast again was spectacular and very large — Scottish breakfast, with a beautiful view. A+++ stay!
