Really very nice landlord! Very accommodating and helpful.
Everything clean and a delicious breakfast with nice guests.

A warm, welcoming B-B. It feels like home. Rachel and her dad (who speaks French) welcome you super nicely and simply. You have to take off your shoes to get into the rooms. Super comfortable bedding. Perfect bathroom. Courtesy tray. Breakfast on a large and beautiful table. The dining room is warm with beautiful paintings and family portraits. Very good breakfast, hearty. Very good coffee (in a full coffee machine) and different teas on offer including Earl grey (yesss).
In short I highly recommend this B-B, and do not rely on your first visual pressure.

Good location, very decent rooms! The whole is a bit faded and obsolete except the bathrooms that are spotless.

We tried to contact them for 10 days and never answer to our request, not by mail not by booking reservation, after the lack of answer we cancelled and they charged the full price because it was just after his 30 days reservation (the reservation was 34 days before arrival). They have charged 2 rooms,

Perfect! The owner is friendly, and the dogs in the house are lovely! The bed is comfortable, and the breakfast is good. Lo recomiendo!

Lovely homely feel! We felt very welcome and enjoyed our short stay! Close enough to Stirling to get to all the sights.

We loved everything, amazing family, great customer service, we will be happy to come and visit again. They even washed all our laundry in a very low price and helped us in planning the next step of our trip, including local guidence. Thank you so much.

We had a wonderful time with John, Rachel and the 2 little doggies, beds are very comfortable, the hospitality is amazing, John has a BIG sense of humour and cooks delicious breakfasts! Totally recommending the Hillview Cottage you will not be disappointed :)

Lovely place a few minutes from Stirling. Perfect breakfast.

Friendly owner, good food and reasonablely priced. Only reason I didn't give an 5 star was because the beds where way too soft.

This structure is located in a very quiet location on a trafficked road without sidewalks. The view from the guest rooms is amazing. The location would deserve a nice walk in the morning but this was unfortunately difficult and it turned out to be quite dangerous. Also, the structure is not really close to Stirling (about 20 minutes by car) although the address says it is in Stirling. It also cannot really be reached by public transportation (may seem obvious, but it's not for non-UK tourists who seldomly rent a car — luckily we did rent one :) ). The parking space is quite tight. Guest rooms are spacious and nicely furbished in a mixture of modern and antique. The one we used were en-suite. Rooms were not really well cleaned, especially in non-visible spots (loads of dust under the beds, dirt behind the toilet, etc). The whole structure is a bit "work-in-progress" and gives an impression of precariousness. This is often the case for B&B in the region, but the whole impression is that the structure would need some serious renewal as it does not meet Scottish standard (which are already lower than in other European countries). Although we were told there is free Wi-Fi we could not connect to it. The host (Jon) was friendly and available. He recommended us a good restaurant close to the hotel which turned out to be really good and not just the result of under-the-table agreements with restaurants (as it is the case in many otehr B&B). Breakfast was good and large-sized.
