We booked to stay for two nights last week but we enjoyed ourselves so much we booked a third night. The hotel, food, garden and rooms are excellent. The staff are a credit to the hotel especially Thurston, Tasmin, Cameron and Joanne with their exceptional service and friendly manner. Not to forget Michael who takes great pride and care ensuring his guests are treated very well. Thanks for a lovely stay.

We came here to celebrate my father-in-law 70th birthday. Beautiful hotel, Amazing hosts. Staff were very attentive and friendly without being overbearing. Nothing too much of a trouble! The room was tastefully decorated, couldn't hear a pin drop. Food was all local produce, homemade bread and delicious… Totally hit the spot! Highly recommended. We will definitely come back.

Had a beautiful meal at the Wheatsheaf! We had booked a table in advance and had a voucher and were very impressed by the food and drinks on offer. Service was very prompt and personal, food was excellent and the drinks selection was brilliant. After our meal we relaxed infront of the cosy chairs next to the fire. Even though we are local we hadn't been in that much just as it is on the pricer side (go for birthdays, special occasions etc) but would definately go again for a treat. Would recommend if you are in the area!

We really enjoyed our stay in the idyllic Scottish Borders village of Swinton. The facilities were faultless, rooms exceptionally clean, and the beds are most comfortable we have ever had during any hotel stay. It was perfectly located for several golf courses (very important for us! ), and we are also able to take in some rugby at Melrose. Oh! How could I forget about the food? Simply stunning restaurant with a very talented chef. If you are staying in the Scottish Borders, this is the place to go!
