Enjoyed a great weekend with our daughter and young dog. Beautiful room, great food, fabulous dog-friendly Inn with warm & welcoming owners, staff and locals. Would highly recommend and will definitely return — heavenly ☺️

What a find ⭐️. Stayed for one night whilst touring round Northumberland. Amazing little pub, staff friendly and most welcoming. We stayed in the cottage next door which was cosy and clean, such a lovely little place. Food was amazing and I would defiantly recommend.

Not a local but have been here for a pint etc before going back home. The staff all seemed very friendly and welcoming to us despite not staying in the guest rooms. The locals were fine as well. I dont have a bad thing to say about this pub — good range of drinks and food, comfortable surroundings. A welcome sight when utterly knackered from walking.

Excellent staff and a lovely set of buildings. Evening food was good, breakfast even better. We stayed in the Pink room which was full of original character, and they sorted out a third camping bed for our daughter at shirt notice. The locals are friendly, and the setting quite beautiful. Definitely recommended.

Quaint pub that serves top meals, a nice beer garden room for parking outside in the small village of Greenhaugh. Well worth a visit.

Quaint rural pub off the beaten track.

Unexpected to see this welcoming environment and cosy rooms in the middle of the rural area around. We came to visit the Kielder Observatory and this inn was the perfect choice! They even cater for gluten free meals which was much appreciated. Great food, friendly people and overall satisfying stay. Highly recommend!

We arrived about midday and found a notice on the door stating the place was closed until 5pm but guests could check in at 4 so our planned day of walking around keilder reservoir was brought forward to our dismay. When we returned about 5.30 we were shown to the blue room by a rather disgruntled chef who seemed really put out that we had turned up. After getting unpacked we made an appearance in the bar which was quite busy with a couple of friendly guests and a roaring coal fire. The chef/barman took our drink order whilst muttering on to another member in of staff about a booking of 6 people coming in for dinner that they had forgot about the atmosphere was a bit unpleasant so we didn't really feel welcome at all unless it was just a bad time? as the night went on the other guests left and some locals came in ie the domino team and darts team they totally took over the whole place making it very uncomfortable so after a few drinks we retired to our room about 9.30 now the pub states it closes at eleven but at at 02.50 in the morning the local lock in was still going strong the noise and shouting was right below us so we didn't get any sleep at all to make matters worse some desirable decided to puke his rogan josh a up right beside our car so that was a nice surprise to get up to!

Friendly folk who run the place. We had a nice room with plenty of space above the pub. There is some noise coming through from the pub, but we didn't mind.

Recommend the lamb shank. Very friendly place.

The staff was super, the local patrons were more than friendly and the beer was top notch but the beauty and comfort of the pub was the showstopper, what a great atmosphere can't wait to return.

The room was, overall, plesent however the shower in my room wouldn't work and the advitised free Wi-Fi through out the inn was a myth.

A lovely place to stay out in the countryside, we were made to feel welcome and the adjoining pub was cosy but quiet and the food and drink were very good.

My wife and I went here for dinner, as we're staying locally for the bank holiday. The service, food and atmosphere were excellent. Such a great pub. Would definitely visit again when back in the area.

Busy and lively welcoming pub with separate dining room, but if it's busy you can also eat in the bar. Food is tasty home-cooked — not fancy. Great with a pint of Nels or Boddingtons. There's always one or two vegetarian options too.
