Enjoyed a lovely meal tonight, steak & ale pie was delicious — fish n chips spot on, puddings too, value for money & relaxed atmosphere.

We visited yesterday. A friendly welcome, good service and lovely food. I hope to visit again soon.

Fabulous high end food. The best take away ever! Do yourself a favour and add chips. They are to die for! Simply the best meal of our holiday! My wife wanted kedgeree and we split each meal in two to not miss out on extra flavour!

Stayed for 2 nights in the Annex with our 2 kids. Lovely friendly staff and nice clean accommodation in a great quiet spot not far off the A1 — was a last minute booking for us having abandoned our camping plans because of the storm! Food in the pub was amazing as well.

Was camping in the area and stopped at The Craw Inn on the off chance on Wednesday night and wasn’t disappointed. Take away menu but was able to eat on the terrace. It was delicious and very reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly. We enjoyed it so much we went back the next night!

First class service in these difficult times, had a couple of drinks and a takeaway meal highly recommend.

Ran across this lovely Inn by mistake. What a wonderful, charming inn to spend time. Ben, the owner, is the chef and the food is amazing! The caramel pudding is the best desert I’ve ever had! Anna and the rest of the staff went out of their way to make our one night stay enjoyable! Thank you all!

We were a party of 9 today all wanting the sunday lunch which was delicious and we enjoyed a lovely relaxed afternoon in the cosy surroundings with the very attentive staff… thank you.

Lovely, cosy inn full of character, perfect for that olde worldly experience. Food was amazing, friendly and helpful staff, our room was lovely — everything was excellent, no complaints. Shall be visiting again.

Good clean room with shower/toilet ensuite. Very friendly staff and great tasting food and drink. The hotel itself is secluded but is only 15 minutes drive to Eyemouth, Duns and St Abbs. Only 30 mins to Berwick Upon Tweed and 40 minutes to Holy Island. Off street parking available to customers. Would have been 5 stars but for the limited menu.

Went off-route to call in here with friends after it was recommended. Good selection of spirits and beers and the food was great. But… Not sure what we did to offend, but the service — at a very quiet time of day — was slow and there were one or two moments when we were clearly being studiously ignored. We were clearly not welcome. Perhaps we just didn't fit the 'demographic. '

My husband and I were here tonight for a meal. We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 course, piping hot and quality and quantity excellent. The staff lovely. Highly recommended. Thank you.

This is a lovely, quiet place to stay. Rooms are clean and comfortable, location is idyllic, staff are lovely and there is an incredible selection of real ales and quality guns in the bar. We didn't eat dinner here this time, but the locals _ a very friendly couple — said the food is brilliant. Good breakfast (not included in price) rounded off a very pleasant stay. We are very likely to be back next time we are in these parts.

Two of us went for lunch, unnanounced. Although we were first in, several other oldies duly arrived, many just for drinks. 2 real ales today and lots of other a beverages are available. Special Offer, — two starter / main course lunches for £9.90 each from the lunch menu. It was very nice, although service was rather slow. Perhaps, because 4 couples all arrived at once? At 1:55 a couple came in and asked for 2 fishes & chips. "Sorry — you're too late"! We thought the sign outside said "food all day"! Is this typical of Scottish country pubs, I wonder? Not good service at all! Unfortunately, as one of us only wanted a main course, we were still charged £9.90 each. I really should have checked first. For a rural pub, I was also a little disappointed at the drink prices. £3.50 a pint and mixer cordial is 50p over the soft drink price. I do realise they have to make a living. The food is very good but let down a bit by the rest of the experience. Not sure if I'll go back.

We stayed here for two nights and loved it, the food is fantastic and a good selection of beers and wines. Lovely beer garden at the back. Friendly staff and locals.

Drove over from Kelso for a meal with friends. Beer, food and service all outstanding. Absolutely worth the trip and will definitely be back!

Very cosy with friendly staff. Accommodation was a little loud with noise from the pub but this soon quietened down. Very good food for dinner and breakfast, and good beers on tap.

1st class service, 1st class food! Best meal I’ve had in ages, we ordered the steak n ale pie, it came in a old fashioned suet pastry which was brilliant. The meat was perfect, no fat or grizzle. Cleaned my plate, but couldn’t eat another mouthful.

Just back from spending a night here and would highly recommend it. Was the cosiest wee place with a lovely bar/restaurant. Great selection of beers and great menu. Breakfast was top notch too so compliments to the chef. :)

Nice pub… Nice food… But deadly quiet on an early Tuesday sept eve.

1st visit and thoroughly enjoyed it very welcoming and good food will be back.

A wonderful quiet country public house offering great beer and a decent wine list. The food is also really good. Worth the trip and a nice break if travelling up the A1.

Very pretty location, rooms clean and comfortable. Service first class. Very good real ale.

Very nice quaint village pub. Drive to location but worthwhile.

Beds are a little tough. Probably time to refresh the mattresses. Otherwise, rooms are clean and modern. Staff is super friendly. Quiet as can be at night. There's a pub in the building. The serve food. The breakfast is amazing. This was my second stay and I can't wait to come back.

Superb food, great with kids, lovely atmosphere. Will go again.
