Booked the Sunday carvary, five course meal. Absolutely first class service, delicious meal at a very good price. Highly recommended.

Family friendly and staff were very helpful.

Had a meal there on Sunday, worst meal in our life’s, we waited for a more than half a hour for the orders, when food arrived portions were so small u would not give it to ur kids and it was frozen, we complained to the manager and all he could say that there was was a shortage of staff and they would look after us next time, never again folks will we eat in this hotel.

It's a Dump. Don't waste your time and money 0 Stars.

First class food! Never had a bad meal! Great portion size and reasonably priced! 13 of us had a meal tonight, the service was first class! Food was all presented together, we all loved the way the same lady serviced us and made sure we were all happy with our food!

I was in Fir Trees yesterday for the Bottomless Brunch, the lunch was lovely but very disappointed with the cocktails as little or no alcohol in them… v disappointing …

Bit of wait for service. When order was taken bar man was walking away before order was finished. Needs to learn some customer service skills.

We had my Mum's 80th birthday party here on Friday night. Room was perfectly done, buffet food was excellent, bar staff did a great job. Thanks so much to all the staff especially as this was all done on short notice.

Very disappointed with the food and service today rang in a order that came to £36.90 and I had to go back into the place 3 times as my order wasn't right. So to top that off got home with the food and it was freezing and not great to be fair! ordered and paid for 2 tubs pepper sauce and received a small tub that wouldn't even be enough for one person never mind 2 people, keep in mind your meant to get it with the main course anyway but was told no it would have to be paid for or we weren't getting it, the portions wouldn't feed a waine never mind an adult! safe to say we won't be back to the dump! absolute disgrace!

Myself and my partner had our wedding here on the 19/09/2019 and we had an amazing day. The staff were so welcoming. The food was delicious. And the overnight stay in the rooms was delightful. Very reasonably priced and everything was just amazing from start to finish… thank you too all involved especially Joanne xx Patrice and Katie xx.

I Really cannot fault the hotel at all! The family room we had was absolutely beautiful and finished to an extremely high standard. The food we had in the bar was delicious and the staff were so friendly and helpful when we asked for recommendations. The whole atmosphere in the hotel was just so friendly we felt very welcome.
We will definitely be returning and recommending the hotel to friends and family.

The food was lovely, very friendly staff, especially as it was a hot day and we had a baby with us, they moved us to below a fan and we had more space. Sharing platter to start and vegetarian pasta for main, delicious. Great prices too!

Smashing fry, had great service from the girl serving us that morning, sorry didn't catch her name, she was lovely very attentive, best fry I've had in a long long time anywhere. Looking forward to getting back for dinner soon. Don't get out to often so when I do is great to get good food and service.

I stayed at the fir trees last weekend, we were having a family reunion, we loved the fir trees food was great, staff were so happy and helpful, rooms were amazing, location was excellent, I will be back.

Was at a wedding in the Fir Trees yesterday and I have to say it was absolutely fantastic. Food, decor and staff were 100%.

Needs updating in some areas in line with foyer update some years ago. Toilets in poor condition, need a good clean and painted — simple basics like no hand soap or toilet roll in one cubicle. Hadn't called in for about 10 years and little has changed in that time. Food was just acceptable — fairly flavourless and presentation was no more than 6 out of 10. I would have aired my concerns but staff seemed fairly uninterested during serving so thought I wouldnt waste my breathe. Asked for water for the table and the glasses that arrived were all badly water stained. With the 25% off your food deal, three drinks and three mains came to £40. I'll not be back for at least another 10 years.

The most homely place I have ever stayed. A place where you can be yourself and close to all of the west coasts wonderful attractions. The food here is possibly the best home cooked food iijave ever had, with an exciting menu and a chef willing to cook to suit your needs. Never judge a book by its cover, a true gem in the Strabane wilderness.

Booked a room weeks in advance for a meeting and ended up being put in a basement store room (pictured). Had soup and sandwich combo. The sandwich appeared to have randomly fell together and I can honestly say that I would not serve it up in my roughest/readiest monents at home.

Expensive and poor service. Had to ask for part of our order after not arriving for over 5 minutes. Plus half of what was supposed to be on our meal and when asked about it was told they had run out of the items. Manager couldn't have been nicer though and was mortified can't blame the woman who was just working with what she though she had.

Went here a couple of weeks … first meal out since having baby. Really looking forward to it. Table booked for 7.30. Arrived and were seated straight away drinks order taken. Drinks arrived 5 minutes later and food was ordered. An hour and 10 minutes later a waitress asked had we still not received our order she would go and check. Came back to say that that the kitchen had lost the order. Did we want her to send it through again?! Seriously?! Not one person came near us for an hour and then to b told this with very little apology. Will never b back. Absolute disgrace.

On Sunday 10th June 14 of us went to the fir trees hotel strabane for a family meal. We had booked the restaurant and was seated quickly enough few of us had starters which were ok. The main course however was a complete disaster. All steaks that were ordered were either over cooked or under cooked. When the young waitress was asked as to how the steaks were cooked her reply to me was he didn't tell me, when the peppered sauces arrived they were all cold the chicken dish which had been served on a bed of champ was completely cold and uneatable at this point I asked to speak to the restaurant manager. When he arrived I asked him was he the restaurant manager, he hesitated to answer me I explained bout the steaks but they were not lifted from us after main course was over he landed with 2 bottles of sparkling wine as a way off an apology I told him to take them away as we were all driving. At this point I asked for the bill. I would not recommend this place for a kinder garden party never mind a family meal! Staff training badly needed in this establishment.

Went with family on a Friday night for a meal. Glad we booked as it was extremely busy. However food order was taken quickly enough and didn't have too long a wait considering the place was packed out. Food was good and staff friendly. Will go again on Friday evening to try the tapas which looked delicious. Had a lovely night out.

Really friendly staff, good entertainment, nice food. Rooms clean, if a little small. And showers a bit weak. Overall really nice stay. Free Wi-Fi good and a handy stop over.

Warm and Inviting. I have visited and stayed over at this venue. Highly Recommend The Staff are beautiful.

Had dinner in main bar with a party of 14. It was very busy when we arrived at 18:40. Our table was reserved in a nice area. Our meal orders were taken and rather quickly considering how busy the bar was. I think the receptionist was even helping out. Nice food and reasonable choice.

Went for a meal with my husband, we had a table booked and were taken to it quite quickly when we arrived. Service was promt although they kept asking if we were done with our plates whilst I was still eating. Food was beautiful and the staff were very polite :)

Took our youngest to see Santa. Have to say considering it was the last tour of the day it was pretty poorly organised. We and another family sat in the lobby while several elves went back and forward and fr and Mrs Claus took a tea break in the den. There where some other guests checking in and Fr Christmas made what I felt to be in inappropriate comment about them joining him in his room. Thankfully this went over the heads of the children… bless there innocence.
During …the tour what was expected to be nice was that the children wrote their letter and listen to a story told by Mrs Claus… unfortunately this was drowned out by the noise being made by an ice cream machine. Not really sure why it was there in the first place nor the tea cups and cookies as neither where offered… but if it wasnt beeping then it was the fan that was deafening and distracting from the experience. Only one of the elves seemed to know what she was doing or even interacted with the children. The rest of the tour was just ok. It was a bit of fun to see Santa snoozing in what was a nicely refurbished room but when it came to each child speaking to Santa again it was a bit unorganized with no one really being sure if what to do next. The best thing about the visit was the photo even though we had to take our own as apparently your photographer had already left. We booked to eat afterwards. Over all staff serving where despite being very busy, polite and curtious.

Food is lush can't say anything about rooms never stayed.

Service was ok but the Strawberry Daquiri was very poor when informed was told that's what it is and take it or leave it.

Worst meal and service ever. Our order of wine plopped in front of us. Waiter didnt take tine to ask who ordered which. Waited well over an hour for raw steak, blood still running from it which should have been medium waitress with blond hair and glasses was lovely.

A good place to eat at reasonable prices and there's a band on a Saturday night and always a few people to enjoy a nights criac with.

Have been there twice now and both times the food has been incredible. Good sized portions of delicious food! Super friendly staff and a cozy, relaxed atmosphere. I highly recommend the Fir Trees Hotel and I will definitely be back!

Since receiving our first tree from Fir Trees, we have never gone anyplace else! They have the most exquisite trees and the loveliest team. I can’t recommend them more! Enjoy.

Unbelievable: 5 course lunch for 13.95. Lovely staff and very attentive.

Ate here on Sunday evening, NEVER AGAIN. I ordered my toddler chicken goujons, the chicken was sour. The breadcrumbs on it were even grey. Disgusting to think they would serve a toddler food like this! I could even smell it on the plate when it was put down in front of me. The waitress tasted it and spat it out! Plus my glass of drink had dirt floating in it, when I told the waitress she was more than helpful to replace it (which was 3/4 full) but the bar maid came down and seen I had still some drink left in the bottle, she gave me a new glass but took the full bottle she had in her hand back to the bar. After the waitress had some debate with the bar maid she handed the new bottle over to her. This was a hugely disappointing meal out with my family. I will never eat in here again if that's what they are willing to serve as 'food'. Thankfully, my child only ate one piece of the chicken, as did I, so food poisoning was avoided.

Negatives first — no hot water or heating for most of our stay radiator wasn't on and had to have cold showers. However a heater was provided but was taken away the next day on our first night. The hot water and heating did come on on our last day though. Positives — lovely hotel with well presented rooms. Food was very nice and breakfast had a good variety to choose from. The staff were very hard working and a credit to the hotel. A special mention to bri'c (sorry about the spelling). She greeted us as we arrived on reception and nothing was to much trouble for her. Very hardworking young lady who not only worked on reception but also helped with waitressing when needed. I would return to this hotel in the future if the heating and hot water was sorted.

Had lunch in Fir Trees hotel. Very reasonably priced, tasty food and quick service.

Had lunch here the week before Christmas. Was extremly busy and unfortunately was badly under staffed! Took ages to order, then food arrived at all different times. Eg main course served but veg took another 10mins hence meal was cold! Didnt enjoy the expierence.

Sunday lunch is to die for. 5 course for £14. Great on the euro to. Also used the cinema deal. Get your meal and ticket for £10 so the cinema is practically free.

Went 2 weeks ago. Was massively impressive with the evening menu. Food was top notch!
