One of the best burgers I've ever had! The dishes my friends had were also beautifully presented and they all said their food was exceptional, as well. I highly recommend this place. Edit 2 years later: Having thought about it more, it was THE best burger I've ever had. I've found that I discuss it with people at random every now and then. As I started adding this edit, I noticed that Google says they're permanently closed now. I was looking forward to getting another one of those burgers during my next visit to N. Ireland. So sad…

Simply my favorite place as it's a nice restaurant with a very gastronomic food. Highly recommended.

This is a nice guest house let down by a couple of big flaws. 1. There is no kettle on the room. There is a tea room with a kettle, biscuits and out of date milk. 2. The central heating is on a timer. It gets very cold in the middle of the day and at night time. A fan heater was provided that cuts out every 30 seconds. The bed was comfy and there were nice views of a gas tank from the window.

What a beautiful menu to provide for Mothers Day. Each course was special with many unique flavours in each course. The three of us agreed it was one of the most beautiful and interesting meals we ever had. For me the pigeon starter was a little merical in itself — what extraordinary and varying flavours in a small plate.

Excellent accomadation. Friendly. Lovely food. Infact all you could ask for.

Limited menu (only three options per course) but very fine dining style, and very reasonable (£20 — 3 courses). Staff great and nice atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Family celebration with a meal and overnight stay, impossible to find fault in this place, from the fabulous food & very friendly staff, great bedrooms and attention to detail. This place is perfect for any special celebration, thank you we will definitely be back.

We had a very nice stay at the hotel, nice big clean rooms. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Only bad point was the fact the restaurant was closed on the day we were at the hotel, but it was ok. Breakfast was perfect also. We enjoyed our stay there.

The owners were very nice and the rooms were extremely comfortable. I have never slept so good in my life. I forget the housekeeper's name but she was also very kind. Awesome place if you want that bed and breakfast experience.

Sunset tonight, from carpark at rear of Old School House. Food is exquisite. Owners, Staff. Brilliant couldn't do enough for us. Well worth a visit for either a stay, or just to experience the restaurant.

We have been many times and never fail to be impressed. Welcome always good. Gorgeous sour dough bread and school house own butter was delicious. We both had smoked salmon tomato and prawn in a Gazpacho dressing so clean and scrumptious, I had duck breast orange and various jus and David Scrabo lamb fillets & gnocchi with various jus both were delightful plates. The house red as usual was fairly priced and the atmosphere excellent. Head off house was as always his manner was enjoyable personality. With be back very soon.

Been here a few times for dinner and every meal has been amazing. My wife treated me to another great meal and a nights stay for my birthday. The room we had was beautiful and cosy (wanted to take it to my own house. ) Breakfast was also great and the hospitality was amazing. Lovely night away, will definitely be back… Thanks.

The Old Schoolhouse Inn is off the beaten track but worth going out of your way to visit. As the name suggests it is an old school building that has been renovated and given a new life. The atmosphere is modern, clean and relaxing while staying in keeping with the old buildings roots. The service throughout our evening was excellent. The menu contains fresh ingredients with some items picked nearby. The attention to fresh quality makes the food stand out. The salmon starter was tasty. The sirloin main was cooked to a perfect, juicy medium. Other members of the party rated the fish and chips as the best they've ever tasted. The chef's take on an toffee apple is surprising and tastes superb. I can highly recommend The Old Schoolhouse Inn for dinner.

Went back on Saturday night to the SchoolHouse with a group of 10 friends. Most of the party hadn't been before but had been very excited to try! From the second we arrived the chilled and relaxing ambience was set with a warm welcome from the fabulous front of house, Karena. The bread starters were beautiful and truly whet all the appetites! The starters were exceptional — and set the tone for what followed. Literally the best Beef Bourguignon have ever tasted — literally melted in mouth and such a mouth watering array of beautiful flavours in one dish. Most of the men had the steak and comments like "absolute perfection" resounded at all ends the table! The staff also very helpful and attentive and the drinks flowed. Will came out to greet our party at the end also which was a lovely touch to see the "man himself! " Already can't wait to go back again — better every time, just when you think that's not possible!

Without a doubt, the best food I've ever tasted, catering for both conservative tastes and those who are a little more adventurous. Make sure to get a cocktail at the bar before or after your meal — they're truly excellent and good value for money.

This was one of the best dining experiences that I have ever had. The attention to detail on every aspect of the experience was fantastic. The food was outstanding!

Food is fantastic, also the Sunday lunch is great.

Wonderful meal for a birthday occasion — but would be great for any occasion — even a TGIFon a weekday evening. We had the testing menu with wine. If you like wine this is a great eye opener with different wines offered that we completely new to me. Fizzy Italian reds, Italian Masi as good as my favourite Rioja, French sparkling wines that complemented the food. If you do go for the tasting menu of five courses, pace yourself and don't fill up on bread at the start. The non tasting menu eaten by half the party was equally good and received five stars from them. So go and sit back and enjoy a great meal.

Tasty, quality food, and reasonable prices for the quality. My main criticism was the slightly intrusive and overbearing waiter who seemed to want to be an integral part of our meal, and the slightly pretentious touches that try a little too hard (awkward unusual plates and bowls for instance). The food was good enough that it didn't need these distractions, and we didn't come out to get to know a waiter and involve him in our lives. Still, I don't want to be churlish — they accommodated us graciously and we all enjoyed our meals and left happy.

Love this place, one of the best restaurants in Northern Ireland.

The new decor is suprising. The only remaining artifact from the original Schoolhouse is the black board! Will Brown must have gotten a steak order wrong at one time. Saying that the food is perfect and delicious. A good range and selection of starter, the bread to nibble whilst perusing the menu is fresh baked and deliciuos with a small selection of spread! The Mains cant be fauled. My Ribeye steak was done to my liking as was the Duck Breast ordered by others in my party, a medium and a medium to well. A Salmon steak was also enjoyed. All served with accompanying vegatables. The triple cooked chips, an 'extra' except with the steak were delicious. A good rangec of deserts and cheese board also available but we did not order as the starter, main and coffe were definatly sucficient to satisfy anyones appitite except fot the greedy, perhaps. The meal and the new surroundings were well worth the charge. One suggestion is that the new grey soft buttoned wall coverings could do with a 'splash' of colour in keeping with a schoolhouse, as the charicter of the restraunt is not at all like the busy interior of the old.
