Absolutely brilliant night, room was perfect, views amazing and staff were very helpful especially the bar staff looked after me when got a bit intoxicated Haha. Definitely be back.

Had our family xmas dinner here… everything was brilliant… excellent.

The ideal getaway retreat close to Llangollen but in a quiet spot surrounded by canal and countryside.

The room was good, the food was excellent, providing for my wife's allergy was no problem, the staff were pleasant and extremely helpful. I couldn't recommend it more highly.

Lunch as part of coach trip was great value for money and really enjoyed by most people Staff really helpful and friendly.

Just had a fantastic Christmas dinner, atmosphere was lovely and the staff couldn't of been nicer xxx.

Would like to say a big thank you to Lorraine zabo manager at the Bryn howell for our lovely wedding day 8.09.2018 the venue was out of this world and the staff were amazing would recommend the Bryn howell to people in the future thank you for an amazing day Kevin and Michaela.

Good food, comfy rooms but some need updating. Akways stay here when visiting Llangollen. Lovely location.

Food wasn't much for the amount that was paid, as we paid per head. But it was nice. Plenty of tea and coffee. Main downside was the toilets. They were no better than my old schools toilets… which I left there 18 years ago. So in major need of renovation. They haven't changed in the last 5 years when we had the wake of my grans funeral.

Lovely pub however does not serve food all day as advertised.

Had a lovely stay at Bryn Hotel food was great too staff are very nice, will visit again soon.

Had a great weekend in this very welcoming hotel. Its location is excellent for exploring the many sites of interest the area has to offer including trips on the steam railway and canal barges. The Hotel staff are extremely helpful and accommodating to individual requests. The food is faultless for both breakfast and evening meals. The rooms are spacious and very clean although a little tired, with lovely views over rolling countryside, mountains and the canal. Contained within well kept gardens. Lots of parking space and easy to find from the main road.

My grandma’s 90th birthday celebration was made more special by the kind and helpful staff, the wonderful food and the beautiful views from the main dining area.

We are regulars here for Sunday lunch and I can't praise the team highly enough. The food is always delicious and the new menus mean it is hard to choose from the varied options available. The desserts are amazing too. Finally the staff are always attentive and welcoming and really look after guests. I would highly recommend.

Car parking, there is plenty of room. Wheelchair access to reception and dining area is easy enough. Staff are polite, professional and helpful. Food is outstanding. My wife won a Valentine three course meal there including a harpist playing. The only words I can find to describe our evening there is Romantic and Cariad.

Went for lunch and had a wonderful platter of cold meat, fish and cheese. Absolutely delicious.

We only stopped for a break in our ramble. Despite our muddiness the staff were courteous and helpful. And the location is terrific.

Restaurant experience. The food was very nice however the waiting staff are shocking. The restaurant was very quiet, but we weren't greeted. When we asked if something on the menu contained dairy, the waiter said he didn't know, then after a pause, asked if we wanted him to check — well durrrrrr, of course we do! We only had a main as there was we weren't asked if we wanted dessert. The plates were only cleared when we put on our coats despite sitting there for around 30mins. The views are good and the hotel clean, but the service was dire.

Very unsatisfied with my visit here. The staff were very rude and impolite to me and my friends the beer glass was dirty with lipstick marks on the rim the toilets were dirty and the sauna has a massive whole in the ceiling I will not ever be visiting again.

We have had afternoon tea and Christmas day lunch at this hotel. We enjoyed both events very much. Staff were very helpful and courteous at all times.

Set in beautiful scenery rooms dated but overall really enjoyed recent stay there!

Had the most beautiful romantic meal the waitress served me my dessert with an engagement ring my bf proposed to me in such a wonderful way. The room was lovely we was in Room 7 great views of the garden we will definitely be back for either a afternoon meal or evening meal. Thank you so much to all the staff last night for such a fantastic surprise and keeping it from me.

Had our wedding here on 22nd July 17. What a truly amazing and memorable day, made all the better by the great staff who couldn't not of done more to make it really special. I stayed the night before with my mum, we had a lovely tea and as the food would take a bit of time we were offered complimentary garlic bread which was divine. All our guests commented on the professelism of the staff and the food which was superb (many compliments to the chef). We will be coming back to celebrate our 1st year wedding anniversary and cannot recommend this hotel enough. Thank you all very much.

Had a great weekend at the Bryn Howell. The food, especially the potato chips was tops. The staff are welcoming and friendly. They were great host's to my guests and all had a great night at my wedding reception. Thank you.

But old fashioned. Needs a facelift. But food was bloomin lovely!

Very nice building, amazing views, and friendly staff. The only reason I couldn't rate it a 5 is some minor repairs could do with being done.

Wonderful rooms beautiful location lovely area for a peaceful walk in the country.

I went to my nieces' wedding there and what a wonderful time we all had. They catered for a rather large family arriving all at once, and not sure who was staying in what room with who, but the organised and fixed it without a problem. The whole experience was a fabulous one. In the morning (late), took a mosey down the hill and found the canal. As a boating person, I just loved that, as I watched a little dog decide to jump from a barge onto the bank and missed, lol. Recommend it 100%. Would have been happy to stay for a few more days but had to get a flight back to Ireland. Thanks all at Bryn Howel for you great work.

We recently had our wedding at the Bryn Howel on 11/06/2016. We found Lorraine the manager very helpful with the planning of our wedding. The majority of our guests experienced difficulty booking room, they were told different prices and told that they never had any availablity, although they did. Again these issues were sorted by Lorraine. On the day of the wedding there were several leaks in the building, and when the staff were told they didn't seem bothered that there was a slip hazard on the main entrance where we had several guests with disabilities. They resolved the leak by placing a bucket in the middle of the floor and no wet floor signs. We had pork baps, wedges and salad for the buffet. The baps were vile really dry and quite tough, the pork was very dry and there was not a lot given to the guests. We found staff rude and lacked any sort of care. It seemed that they couldn't be bothered to try and help on our special day. And the majority were very miserable (I get people don't like to be working but they could of cracked a smile) There was one waitress (Beth) who was fantastic and was really happy and friendly. The suite which was offered to us was nice, the hot water on the shower didn't work though. My wife stayed in the same room the night before our wedding, the next day we requested the room to be cleaned and the sheets to be changed. The bed sheets were not changed they still had the same marks on them from the night before.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. We didnt have a car though and it is a bit of a way out of town.

Lovely setting next to the canal, good size rooms great breakfast.

Highly recommended for the lovely environment and ambiance, superb food and first class service, (the Bryn Howel has a gem in Patrick, whose customer service is 2nd to none). As locals, who eat in the bar on a weekly basis, we are delighted with the consistently high quality meals we have received since the 2012 acquisition of the hotel and look forward to experiencing even more culinary delights, prepared under the guidance of new owner Eamonn, in 2013. Boaters, tourists and locals — the Bryn Howel is not to be missed.
