Came here for afternoon tea for a birthday treat for a family member and everyone loved it. Staff were great and the chateau is beautiful. Thank you.

We had our wedding venue at rhianfa on the 18th of June, it was the best day ever! The food was lovely and the scenery for photos is spectacular, the staff were fantastic and we wish we could do it over again, we would highly recommend this lovely place to anyone looking for a wedding venue! Attended Chateau Rhianfa for my sons wedding. Being in the hospitality business myself, the things I always look for our cleanliness, staff and beds. The Hotel ticked the boxes on all fronts, with the staff being friendly, attentive and very helpful. The views and location are stunning. I would highly recommend a stay here. We will be certainly visiting ourselves again really soon.

The views at chateau Rhianfa are beautiful, the service and restaurant are excellent. The red plastic Dragons head on the wall as you approach the chateau, makes the hotel look tacky, needs removing as it spoils the exterior of the hotel. The hotel is looking a little tired in places but is full of character and I must say we had a wonderful and memorable time for my 50th birthday. Thank you for a lovely stay!

We have stayed here 3 times. The third time we had our wedding there and all of our guests stayed for 2 nights. Delyth went above and beyond for us. She's incredible. She even help fix my dress when I ripped it. She helped make our wedding day perfect. The venue is beautiful and we intend on going back. The love I have for this place will never die!

The property is simply stunning! the location and the views are a real treat and the staff are very professional and attentive. It is super easy to find and parking was a doddle. I couldn't recommend this place highly enough! The food was sublime and the rooms spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms are enormous too! I will definitely be looking to revisit again in the future!

Absolutely stunningly beautiful place, with incredible service and out-of-this-world food in the restaurant. Very romantic, stunning views, relaxing atmosphere, lovely staff (in particular we love Tom who is gracious and professional whilst making us laugh! ).
We got married here in September so it will always be the most special place for us and will always return.

Bring back the chef you had 2 years ago that made a very delicious afternoon tea, too. Many complaints about an ordinary te.

Relaxing atmosphere, elegant decor and attentive staff. Fabulous vistas too.

Arrived for a much anticipated afternoon tea, pre — booked for 2.30pm. A pot of tea and clotted cream arrived 15 minutes later. The remainder of the food arrived another 30 minutes later. It was unremarkable to say the least. Sandwiches were stale, as though left out for a couple of hours. Scones overcooked and microwaved until hard. Had to go looking for staff to request butter and jam. Strawberries dipped in COOKING chocolate (yuck! ). Cakes small and hard. Clotted cream warm by the time the food arrived. There was one poor girl serving alone, she was rushed off her feet.
When we went to pay. We were asked whether we were happy. We had to tell the truth, and the receptionist knocked 10% off. We paid £45 for two really poor meals. The most expensive view ever. Don't waste yourhard earned cash!

So disappointed with the afternoon tea. We booked a table for 2.30 so you would think they would have everything prepared. 45 mins later we are served our stale finger sandwiches and cakes. Scones were over cooked with no jam provided until we went looking for a member of staff to ask for it. To charge £25 per person for such poor quality of food is disappointing. We were given £5 off but if you ask me that what we should have paid in total for tea, as that is the worth of it!

Lovely place but parking a bit of an issue.

Magical location. The grounds and architecture were beautiful, and guests were encouraged to wander to the many nooks and crannies of the historic chateau. The staff was amazing, friendly, and very helpful. The restaurant was fantastic! The cooks made a variety of beautiful and delicious dishes. I would highly recommend Chateau Rhianfa to anyone seeking a fairy tale adventure.

Went here for a light lunch. Wanted to sit in the garden area to eat. Our young “I know it all” waiter was quite rude and the service was surly at best. A shame as I was recommended by a friend.

The staff at Chateau Rhianfa, especially Emilee and Gemma, made out fairytale wedding a dream come true. They were always so attentive and beyond helpful. Chateau Rhianfa is the most stunning location and the food is amazing — we would recommend it to anyone.

Excellent ’High tea’ today at Chateau Rhianfa, which was a wedding gift. Welcoming staff, who were not only friendly but informative and attentive. The food was lovely and fresh, as well as being presented nicely. Excellent views and gorgeous grounds to meander in. Definitely recommend.

This is the perfect setting for a special occasion. Very quirky, lots of unusual places to explore. The gardens are really nice overlooking the scenic views of the Menai Straits.
There is a music room, a morning room with stone fire places. Balconies with stunning views. Great place to stay and a very peaceful nights sleep in the Plas suite.

We got married here on 15th sept 2018 we had an incredible day even more perfect than we could of imagined stunning scenery, grounds, the staff are amazing and gemma made sure all went to plan above&beyond:) ), delyth also everyone had an incredible day the food was amazing massive thankyou to the chef &the cleaning staff and waiting on staff Xxx.

Came here as a group for afternoon tea for my nans 87th birthday and really enjoyed ourselves. Beautiful setting, amazing views, very friendly helpful staff. However there were 2 small issues that brought the rating down, a miscommunication really, but the first waiter told us before eating that we can take anything home that we don't manage to eat, but when we asked for boxes at the end of the tea, a different waitress told us we cant take some of it home due to the jar it was in, which resulted in some of us missing out on that item (if we were told this from the start we would have made sure we ate that first and taken a cake home). We were also a bit dissapointed that we had arranged for a few candles to be brought with the cakes but this obviously had not been passed on to the waiting staff and did not happen.

Proposed to my girlfriend here. Such a magical place, the staff were awesome throughout, made us both feel almost like royalty. The picturesque views over the lake, the 5 star food and service, the exquisite quality of the rooms all made the 2 nights we stayed more perfect than I could imagine. I contacted the staff beforehand to let them know I'd be proposing to my now fiancée here and they were more than happy to help however they could. Looking forward to staying here every anniversary for many years to come! Stayed in the executive double room by the way.

WOW! we went for delicious afternoon tea on a sunny July afternoon. Amazing views from the Chateau. This place can also be booked for a wedding or reception and they have beautiful onsite rooms full of character. Will definitely return and perhaps stay overnight next time.

We had a nice large sized clean room with a fantastic walk in shower, the room had a large panoramic window giving a great view of the beautiful landscape. Nice looking historical building with a modern twist, fantastic gardens and great views. Arrived late and asked if the restaurant was open but unfortunately it was closed, the staff checked with the kitchen and the chef was willing to stay behind and cook for us! great staff and great customer service, great place to relax, get married, take photographs or even spend your anniversary!

Amazing place. Such a shame it was a last minute booking as we ended up at the adjoining lodge. Nothing wrong with that but the main hotel would of been more special. The setting couldn't of been better, so beautiful.

My wife and I were here for a wedding and aside from the wedding itself being amazing, Chateau Rhianfa was the perfect setting. The chateau itself is a stunning building in an unmatched location overlooking the Menai Strait, but that was just part of the package. The food was amazing, the staff courteous and friendly, and the room we stayed in, in the Rhianfa lodge annex was just perfect. This place comes highly recommended.

Super Hotel with delicious breakfast.

We splurged and ended up in the Duke suite. It is beautiful with a separate tub and a shower in a turret with 3 showerheads! This is obviously our favorite feature. Easy to navigate to from the main area, polite and friendly staff, beautiful and well manicured grounds and house. The lounge areas are nice. Bring a swimsuit for the hot tub and sauna. Breakfast was excellent with continental and hot options. They have soy milk and dairy free spread for coffee and toast which is a nice touch (so says my dairy allergic wife).

Stayed for one night here, beautiful room and huge bathroom. The building itself is exquisite, looks incredible from the outside and the interior is very high class. Very comfortable bed. One of the best meals I've had was had in their restaurant. After speaking with Ryan who works there, we learnt that the head chef actually came third in the world of chefs in a recent competition in Germany. It shows! Breakfast was also very generous and superbly cooked. Staff were all very helpful and friendly, Ryan especially when it was just my partner and I in the bar, made us very comfortable and made for a very pleasant experience. The nearby area and the whole of Anglesey is beautiful and lots of things to do and see. Highly recommend.

What a Gem of a find. This place is absolutely wonderful. Stunning views and a calm and tranquil atmosphere. Staff are delightful. Sweet and unpretentious. A rarity these days. I hope they can keep it this way.

Highly recommand to stay at Suite. Large room with good view. Also the food is good.

Fantastic settings and views towards Bangor. The grounds and gardens are amazing highly recommend a stroll through them in the evening as there are lots of cost places to sit and relax. Staff and service is exceptional and would highly recommend the Welsh breakfast.

Stopped for afternoon tea on the way through to Beaumaris. An absolutely gorgeous setting and a very generous and tasty offering, cucumber sandwiches aside (although that's because of my own prejudice for the devil's vegetable). Beautiful!

My daughter had her wedding reception here. Lovely quirky place. Has a lift, but you need to close the inner gate to make it work (Staff will explain). Well maintained grounds. Food excellent. Open to non residents for beverages or tea and cakes. Very small car park at the top use the other one just before the main entrance. To get upstairs go through the large white door, go through the corridor and on your left is the lift. The other door to get in does have steps that bring you up behind the reception desk. But there is lots to admire on the way in. Great view of the Menai Straight.

Stunning hotel in stunning grounds. Beautiful room, beautiful food & fantastic staff. Perfect place for a quiet getaway.

Stunning building & location. We stayed in the Lodge — frankly, shabby with no sense of being in a luxury hotel. Mould on the bathroom walls, scuff marks everywhere & dirty carpets. Zero soundproofing with slamming doors & water running. Positively tight regarding teabags/milk & tissues. I've stayed in B&b's with more sense of luxury at half the price. If you can spend £400 to stay in the main building, great. If you would rather not, head into Beaumaris & stay at the Bull. But really, don't bother with the Lodge.

Really nice hotel however we were placed in the lodge which had extremely thin walls, tiny windows and was MORE expensive than the main building! I would recommend the main hotel but definitely not the lodge.

Excellent value for money! Beautiful hotel in this lovely 19th century structure (apparently inspired by the architecture of French Loire region chateaus). We stayed in the Nant bedroom which is in the main building and has all the amenities you'd expect from a 5 star hotel. It is nice and roomy and decorated in the style of the building. It can be a little noisy sometimes outside, before 11pm, as the kitchen is just behind it but after that you shouldn't have any problems. All the staff were wonderful and very helpful and willing to make our stay as comfortable as possible. You can freely walk the grounds of the chateau, which has a nice garden and even a tennis court. Last but certainly not least, the food was excellent as well. Highly recommended for a romantic getaway.

Scenic position, interesting interior and history. Comfortable and welcoming. We are in the restaurant — the food we had was delicious if somewhat pricey for what was on the plate. We did have a very long wait for our first course. Did eventually get an apology and reduction on bill so not sure if this was a one off problem or not.

My wife and I got married at Chateau Rhianfa in July and it was absolutely amazing. We chose the venue for so many reasons but the top ones were the beautiful location (overlooking Bangor University where we met) and exclusive use of the castle for all guests. On the day the venue gave us that and so much more – the staff were exceptional and absolutely nothing was too much trouble for them. They were so well organised and professional — all our guests even commented on how amazing they were. Two people in particular made our day so special – the wedding manager Gemma and venue manager Delyth. Gemma was so attentive throughout the day, making sure we had everything we needed at all times. She calmly and efficiently managed every aspect of the day and everything went off without a hitch (that we know of! ) Delyth managed the process before and after our big day and was extremely patient with our endless questions – after meeting her it was clear that the she and the venue had everything in hand for us. On the day the food was beautiful and the room looked perfect. They even managed to order in the sunshine (not sure how they did that one). I am so pleased we chose to get married at Chateau Rhianfa – the venue is completely magical and to top it off the staff are amazing. We could not have asked for better – I highly, highly recommend it. You won’t be disappointed.

This place has blown my mind and exceeded all my expectation. We stayed here valentines (which lucky for me is my wife's birthday) for a few nights in the coach house. 3 bed, massive living room and kitchen. I could not ask for any more. The staff were amazing and the chateau is really great. Experience a bit of luxury and stay here for a night or 2. I regret not staying for longer. But I will be back soon.

Beautiful setting but menu and service let it down. Ordered selection of cakes for £4.50 and flat white. Ended up with a selection of desserts for £6! and a latte. Not that it says so on the menu but apparently Cakes should have 4 items and desserts 3 but they were tiny and a couple of berries count as 1 item!

The afternoon tea was lovely with just enough cakes and sandwiches (of which there was an excellent variety), and as much tea and coffee as needed. The grounds are beautiful and worth walking around.

Stayed overnight for a friend's wedding. Amazing food, excellent service however we were offered a room without an an suite. There was a private lockable bathroom but that was outside past another guests room which made things difficult.

In this Hotel that is in a small village called BAEUMARI in Welsh, formerly belonged to the Beauty of the Cinde Cases. The rooms are majestic and with lots of space, the food is of very good quality and the bread is one of the things that is good. And they also put relaxing background music. Is an ideal hotel to celebrate a wedding.

Was there last night (July 28th) at a wedding. First impressions were good. However did then notice some room for improvement. Because there are so many rooms everywhere where people can sit, all wedding guests were spread out all over the place, would be much better if everyone could be kept together in one function room, would create better atmosphere. The bar was also in a different room to the function room, small bar that took ages to get served, other option was going upstairs to another bar, a bit inconvenient as it takes you away from the function. Only one draft lager on offer, overpriced at £5 per pint, which run out half way through the evening, forcing you to find an alternative drink that was even more expensive. You'd think that they would make sure to be stocked up on things for a function. A buffet was on offer this evening, again in a separate room from the function, was a very small room so it got very crowded when the announcement was made that the food was ready. The food was very nice though. Could be an ideal setting if they thought it through and planned it all better.

My daughter had her wedding ceremony here and if I had another one wanting the same this would be her only option. The whole day was flawlessly executed and I cannot speak highly enough of the staff and their courtesy and professionalism in dealing with everybody and everything (including an occasionally overwrought Father! ). Its not trivial to travel here but we came from Australia and it was still well worth the journey. Very well done, cannot thank them enough.

Hotel was beautiful but we were a bit disappointed overall. The dining room was stuffy and the menu limited and uninspiring. The one starter I fancied was off. The maun course was nice but I really fisnt enjoy my starter or dessert. The bread was odd in texture too. At breakfast I thought the pastries were a bit stale and the portion on the small side. The cocktail menu consisted of 3 drinks and when I asked for one off the menu it was attempted but not great. There was a bit of a deserted feeling to the whole place making it unatmospheric. We had to hunt down a waiter in the bar and our drinks still hadn't arrived 15 minutes later. The toiletries were a bit on the cheapy side and when the room was turned down we weren't left with enough towels. I'm not super fussy but I did have really high expectations and the service just didn't live up to it. We stayed somewhere the night before that was half the cost and had twice the charm and character. We were celebrating 10 years of marriage and it just didnt feel like a special experience. We wouldn't stay again.

What an absolutely beautiful place. Unfortunately we wasn't staying on this visit but hope to soon but the staff we great and took the time to show us the bridal suites which blew us away they were stunning and almost complete from being redecorated so in mint condition their showers where amazing. As for the rest of the castle like building and grounds just kept us astonished and delighted the whole tour. We where able to just buy a drink and go down outside over looking the river it was the most peaceful moment I think of my entire life and an extremely romantic place to visit with my partner. If you don't visit your super crazy and missing out. Xx.

Stayed for a wedding. Lovely day. We had a bedroom at the back which did not have a view. We were woken up at 2 am and 3 am by members of staff putting out empty bottles and they were talking loud. I was watching them from the window and they did see me. What a time to put out empties. Enjoyed the wedding day. Shame we had to go through that. We will not stop there again.

Fabulous place, we stayed in the Dukes suite which has a huge four-poster bed, wonderful views towards the mountains of Snowdonia and a bathroom / wet room with three showers (! ) occupying one of the beautiful turrets. Hotel was very well presented throughout, with loads of secluded seats in nooks and crannies inside and out to discover. The hot tub doors open wide to the lovely views of the strait and the mountains beyond. All the staff were very friendly and efficient, good and breakfast were great. We will be returning!

Breathtaking views from a fairytale castle. We were cared for by a bubbly friendly staff who did their upmost to please. Even photographs don't do this chocolate box vista justice. From the coach house balcony I overlooked landscaped gardens which put Kew Gardens to shame, over the Menni straits with a backdrop of the snow covered peaks of Snowdonia. Watching spellbound as yachts drifted across the water. Sat level with an enormous redwood tree in an ornithologists dream world. As I looked down on the grounds there were baby rabbits playing on the lawns. I was captivated and so so sad to leave.

Amazing building, great rooms and stunning views. Only a short drive over to snowdonia, which you can see from the hotel.

The whole hotel and grounds have the wow factor. The seven course tasting was an enjoyable experience giving you the opportunity to chat with other guests. All staff very well trained and helpful. Could not fault our stay in any way. We will be back. Beryl and Barrie Jones (Norwich).

A quite frankly stunning hotel. The term 'hotel' doesn't quite justify the mark it leaves on you, it's an experience culminating from the idyllic setting and the sheer attention to detail applied to every corner of this 18th century building converted to the highest of standards. The staff are all highly attentive to your needs whilst sounding like the genuinely care for your enjoyment and comfort. The food is also, superb — the cheesecakes are fantastic! I was sad to leave after a 3 night stay and the 'experience' has set an unprecedented benchmark.
