Thank you to santa, elf’s and other staff yous went above and beyond, we laughed so much, it definitely brought back the Christmas magic! Food and service was amazing. Allergy friendly and went out of their way to get specific things for my girl, even made her a hot oat milk with marshmallows instead of hot chocolate. Can’t wait for our next visit x.

Cannot recommend breakfast with Santa highly enough. My boys had the best time ❤️ all the staff were amazing and all the extra little touches made it an experience they will never forget! Thank you, we will def be back next year ☺️

We have just come back from Breakfast with Santa and it was just wonderful! The team pulled out all the stops to make it utterly magical for the kids. Thank you for all the hard work and enthusiasm that clearly went into putting it on. It was all appreciated. Well done everyone.

Amazing food, amazing portions, amazing service. I don’t often leave reviews anywhere but felt this one was needed… especially with the service. Friendly chatty staff, very attentive. It’s nice to have a conversation with staff instead of simply just giving a food order.

I want to fully recommended Rosslyn Inn. I've always had great experiences with this hotel over the last 16 years. The food is amazing every time and the hotel is a brilliant place to stay. The on suite rooms are very clean and spacious. The venue hall is very accommodating for weddings and a great place for conferences. With an enclosed space at the back and a conservatory. There is a beer garden and the public lounge is very comfortable with a coal fire. All the staff make you very welcome and they and friendly and attentive. Thanks so much for your pleasant hospitality it warms my heart.

We collected our Original Sharer box tonight and it’s safe to say, we demolished it! Within 30 mins of collecting it — which shows just how delicious it was!
The ordering process for this was so easy and the staff were super friendly whilst paying over the phone! The order was ready bang on our collection time and social distancing was observed whilst collecting.
We also got the new Dessert box, which we’ll dig into once our food babies have gone down but I can imagine it is going to be amazing too!
Thank you for a yummy Friday night dinner cannot recommend enough!

Traveling from Edinburgh l had booked our table for 2pm, but because of traffic we were late arriving, Staff were super, friendly and welcoming, we didnt wait long for our food to come, the veg curry is delicious and you can add chicken if you wish, hubby and sisterinlaw had the fish, and brotherinlaw had scampi, the brownie went down a treat to as did the sticky toffee pudding❤ this lovely place l would highly recommend, we, ll deffo be back.

Have eaten here many times and can highly recommend a visit you won't be disappointed. There is a wide range of food served by very friendly staff and throughout the year entertainment is provided to suit all tastes. Can also recommend booking into this hotel or the cottages as friends of mine have stayed and never been disappointed. A booklet can be picked up which shows the various events taking place throughout the year.

A charming Inn full of character and history. The food is both well prepared and presented. Prices are very reasonable and the portions are large enough to satisfy all but the largest hunger pangs. We enjoyed meals of scampi, chilli and macaroni and cheese and all the meals were piping hot and delicious. It was good to note that a separate gluten-free menu was produced immediately after we asked. The staff are very helpful and efficient our group of four were seated and served within about twenty minutes. Prices for drinks compare well with any public-house, with certain offers and special prices. Disabled access is good with on-street parking almost at the door. For the hardy folk there us an outside space where both food and drink can be ordered.

Phenomenal good food in the pub, the scampi is superb, the haggis and steak and ale pie is mouthwatering and the coffees are delicious too. Definitely coming back!

Just had my first Haggis burrito there. It was most enjoyable. Very friendly staff, a good menu (my wife’s fish and chips was very fresh with a light crisp batter), and a well stocked bar. A great way to extend a day out to Rosslyn chapel.

Just performed my Joanie Sings Adele show here. What a beautiful wee hotel! Stuart, Naomi and the staff have got this covered! Food was outstanding, and the rooms are lovely. Would recommend! And the entertainment was good (*puts tongue in cheek*)

We stayed in the area for 4 nights and ate at the inn every evening. The food was absolutely delicious, a varied menu using locally sourced food, good sized portions and perfectly cooked. The surroundings are very lovely, we ate in both the bar and the conservatory and both were cosy and comfortable. We were made to feel very welcome, especially by Naomi, who was our waitress most of the week. She was friendly, chatty and extremely helpful. I would highly recommend The Original Rosslyn Inn to anyone visiting the area!

Came along for an Easter lunch. Totally delighted, family friendly and brilliant service. The waiting staff are brilliant and made sure we felt welcome. With food so good, book a table or come along early.

We had the pleasure of hosting the staff of this hotel for their post Christmas staff party. I wanted to comment on how pleasant, polite, thoughtful and friendly, all of the staff were and their exemplary behaviour. Anyone visiting this hotel for a meal, a drink or a stay, will be in for a five star service from a lovely bunch of people. A real credit to the owners for the standards that they have set. Well done to you all and we look forward to seeing you again, either in Roslin or in the city. Best wishes to you all for 2018!

Food is fine, but the set menu had no vegetarian main options and they refused to allow a substitution. If they'd had a veg option (or allowed substitution) they would have got four three course lunches out of us; instead they got four single courses and disappointed customers.

We've been going here for a breakfast meeting each week and the staff can't do enough for us. The breakfast is great and the servers are friendly and helpful. I went to one of their Christmas party nights and it was probably the best I've ever been to. The food was fabulous and the entertainment was exactly that — entertaining! Well done to the Harris family. I highly recommend this place.

Great meal. Was quite busy for a Sunday lunchtime but we were seated quickly and orders taken promptly. Food wasn't super fast but it was very busy and we didn't have to wait too long. The burgers were fantastic and the staff pleasant, helpful and well mannered. I've been here before and will definitely be back.

Food was good. Service was fast and very cuteous once we found someone who worked there. Love that they have a dog friending area and baby changing facilities were good.

Practically no competition but food was still very good. Appears recently renovated. Young bright staff that were extremely helpful.

We were staying at the guesthouse across the road but came here for our evening meal. We had main courses (pan fried duck and sausages) and desserts (crumble, 'origin' sundae and ice cream) and all were lovely. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful too. Would definitely come back.

The staff is very friendly and the kitchen does not look British. A delight.

Good food, the best barbecue sauce I have ever tasted.

We just visited the restaurant section of the old original. Upon arrival into the lounge bar area, we were completely ignored by the 3 staff chatting behind the bar. We then went through to the conservatory in the hope of being seated there (assuming perhaps we had come in through the wrong door), only to be stared at by one member of staff on his break with no acknowledgement, assistance or alerting the colleagues he was speaking to that guests require seating. After a few minutes of standing around like sore parts, we decided to leave. Extremely poor service. Poor effort. I would suggest re-training or replace whatever disinterested staff were on shift today.

I remember this place was good when we went a few years ago but it has certainly gone downhill. Small portions, poor quality food and there were slug trails all over the carpet. Seems like they don't clean very often.

Great wedding venue. Well suited and efficiently staffed, friendly and polite people. Reasonable prices on drinks and food, not really suitable for children under 8 as they have no provision of plastic cups for kids just glass.

We checked in at the Roslin Chapel Guest House next door. The manager (maybe it was the owner) of the Original Roslynn Hotel was filling in, since we arrived after hours. It was late, and we were hungry. We asked where we could get a meal. He said everything was closed, including his restaurant, but that he would open up his kitchen just for us. The food was very good.

Like others, we came from Rosslyn Chapel and I couldn't think of a better place to enjoy a meal. I liked that they had more than the usual greasy Scottish fare. While obviously a popular place, we didn't have to wait long for food. I wish I had been brave enough to take pictures of the interior because it was one of the most charming pubs we ate at during our 3 week journey through Scotland.

I went to see the Roslyn Chapel and we went here to have lunch. The food was very tasty, we enjoyed a lot. They have a special coffee options.

Location is wonderful, food is very good for the price.

Great atmosphere as well as great food. Definitely recommended!
