Stayed over one night. It was great. Clean room and stylish. Breakfast was superb. I'll be going back.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 1 night before heading off on our travels around Europe. We had a fantastic night stay; room lovely and clean and fantastic view from our window. The staff immediately made us feel very welcome and whilst checking out the next day one of the staff members (bald guy in a kilt — sorry didn’t catch his name! ) chatted to us about his travel experiences which was great. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and the next time we’re back in Edinburgh we will definitely be booking here again!

Clean and comfortable room, staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was reasonably priced and was decent. The location is great, close to Waverly station and the main tourist attractions. Plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants around. Would stay here again.

Very nice clean rooms. Love the tasteful teal design. They should work on completely converting their receipts to be in English and GBP instead of German and Euro… might be a matter of time. Front door took two of us from different rooms many attempts of swiping after hours to work, not sure why and how it worked in the end, we were worried about being stuck outside.

Neat Hotel, clean, unfortunately no Suitcase storage, no Closet. Staff very nice, great Breakfast. Super Location to reach inner city area Running Bar.

Well soundproofed hotel with other rooms. Noise from the disturbing night-time entertainment of the outside. Comfortable bedding and bathroom at the top. All-you-can-eat and hearty breakfast. Professional and smiling staff. Hotel very well located. I recommend it.

I stayed 2 nights while working nearby. The check-in service was quick and friendly, the room was spacious and clean but basic and I didn't have breakfast at the hotel at all. The location of the hotel is excellent for access to nearby sights and restaurants etc.

The rooms were nice, clean and well equipped. The location if the hotel was very close to the station and just a short walk from the old town with all of its attractions. However, on our first night staying there, there was a leak in our room and the customer service provided around this event was substandard.

Usual Good motel one standard.

My room was lovely. It had a large double bed, a TV, a chair and a luxurious bathroom. The bed was so comfortable and everything in the room was working. It looked very modern but also cosy. I can't comment on the breakfast as it is a little expensive so I decided to go to the Wetherspoon which is only a couple minutes walk away!

My friend and I had a most pleasurable stay at Motel One on Princes St. The staff were so helpful and friendly from the moment we arrived. Room were clean and change of towels everyday. Centrally located. We would highly recommend this place when visiting Edinburgh.

Very central hostel, close to one of the bridges that cross the old town. Very nice. Very helpful staff. Clean rooms, super spacious bathrooms adapted all of them for disabled.

Amazing location and very pleasant, clean rooms. This hotel is really in walking distance to everything in Edinburgh. We enjoyed food and drinks at St. Andrews Square (The refinery) and shopped till we dropped along Princes and George street. The rooms had everything we needed, the beds are huge (180cm). There is no cupboard, but for a weekend escape not necessary. We had our room on the 1st floor and at the weekend it was a little noisy. Other than there is nothing to moan about.

The rooms are quite minimalistic, but cozy. The only objection I have is that the door was difficult to open and the floor was creaking in places. Other than that I have only praise for the lovely staff.

The location is perfect. In the middle of the city and the price is good. Breakfast is just like in all motel one but easy enough.

Nice enough for a quick stay. Problem was the noise! Everytime someone in the corridor entered their room I thought they were coming into mine. Also could hear talking from upstairs. Made it hard to sleep. Shame cause the room was nice and clean. Basic facilities. Excellent location though of course. More than adequate if you aren't going to be in the room all day.

Superbly located on Princes Street. This is a boutique style hotel. The rooms are warm and comfortable but space for your clothing is at a premium as there are hangers on a rail but no drawers or wardrobes. There's plenty of space for cases however. The room has a hairdryer and a kettle. The en suite is fine with a walk in shower. No bath! Staff are friendly and helpful. We'll stay again.

Overall I really enjoyed our 4 night stay. The location is super convenient. The connection between hotel and airport is superb. It's about a 5 minutes walk between the bus stop Waverly Bridge and the hotel. This stop is served by the airlink bus which brings you from and to the airport. For exploring Edinburgh the location is extremely convenient as well. The hotel staff is super friendly and helpful. Our room was small but very nice. The only thing which could be improved is to provide a little bit more tray area especially for the luagge. I would definitely recommend the Motel one in Edinburgh.

Staff are so friendly and helpful. Lots of choices for breakfast though would have liked porridge. Not complaining, there was lots more to choose from. All breads freshly baked daily. Rooms lovely and clean and bathroom superb.

Das Hotel ist mitten in der Stadt und gut erreichbar mit 24/7 Rezeption. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Leider hat mich das Frühstücksbuffet überhaupt nicht überzeugt und die Hauptstraße vor der Tür ist auch etwas laut. Dafür hat man aber einen schönen Blick auf das Archiv. Das Hotel ist mit britischen und europäischen Steckdosen ausgestattet, was ein großes Plus ist.

Good, modern, clean hotel, very centrally located, ideal to explore Edinburgh. Naturally, it is noisy against the main road, even at night (especially when vis-a-vis are taking place any festivities). But there is a remedy: if you want peace, you can book rooms without a view. Its window then goes into a small courtyard, which is very quiet. Otherwise the hotel offers everything you need. A few things could still be improved (e. G. Hangers in the bathroom). But here I would go again next time. Price/performance ratio is definitely right.

Located on Prince's St this Motel One was ideal for being central to everything. We were able to check in early to our room (424) which had a city view. The room itself was very clean with basic amenities and a very comfortable bed, everything you need for an overnight stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Great service, convenient to get from airport and right in the heart of everything. Also it is of vey good quality for the price!

This is in a handy location, just off Princes Street so it's really quick to walk to from Waverley Station. I booked a double room, it was really clean, basic but modern and tasteful with a very comfortable bed. The en-suite bathroom is small but very modern with a great walk-in shower. Staff were really friendly on arrival and check-out. I'd definitely stay again, it's great for a one or two night stay.

The room was very clean and well maintained. The central location is sensational, Central is simply not.

Very nice hotel in the very centre of Edinburgh. Abundant buffet for breakfast for all the guest. Very clean and modern rooms.

Room was clean and comfortable and staff were polite, friendly and helpful. I did not use the lounge area but it looked relaxing. I also did not have breakfast as it was quite expensive for a simple continental buffet (£9.50pp). Overall I would stay again as it was a very convenient location and good value for money in general.

Central location right next to Waverley station on the bit between the old and new city. Our room was at the front and didn't hear a thing so sound isolation is great. Rooms are comfortable and the interior design makes good of use of the fairly limited space available. Bathroom is a wee bit small though. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet is fairly limited, so don't expect anything fancy.

Visited for work, and pleasantly surprised! All I wanted was a comfortable bed and a quiet dust-free room, and this place did that. Surprisingly stylish (despite the somewhat sketchy entrance) and I'd happily stay there again.

Exactly what one expects from a Motel One. Plain and clean rooms at a very central location. Also, I would recomment booking without any breakfast or dinner, because there are some really good restaurants or breakfast places within a 5min walk.

Rooms are clean and tidy and staff very helpful/friendly. Great location and excellent value for money.

For German tourists the Hotel is ideal: combination of continental and Scottish Breakfast. Atmosphere was very nice. Best Cleanliness. Comfortable rooms, only the view will need to be made in most rooms compromise, as you look to the rear or in the courtyard.

Perfect for an overnight. Basic but doesn't feel cheap. Great location. Would defo use again.

19.7.2016 clean, stuff looks brand new but its simple. Im pretty sure some people might not like it for example no closet, no safe box, no iron. There are hair dryer and kettle.

Good central location, very close to the rail station but that doesn't create any noise. The hotel is very smart and the staff freindly. Good view from the rooms at the front of the property, if you choose to stay here the entrance is on a side street around the corner from the Apple store.

Great location outside Waverly Train Station. Reception at the hotel was friendly and professional. 24 hr bar and food. Will stay again.

Comfortable well presented, quirky hotel. Or motel. Stayed here a few times with work. The staff are feiendly, welcoming and helpful. The rooms, are compact and bijou and have always been clean. Showers are good. Breakfast I wouldn't bother with however. Certainly not worth the money. Overall a pleasant stay each time.

Great location for Hogmanay and exploring Edinburgh. Clean and tidy room, if a little warm for my liking. Outside was too noisy to have a window open. Service was very attentive. Bar was good with a selection of cocktails at better prices than most hotels! Overall would stay again.

Superb location for a very good price (unmatched value-quality-location in the area). That's a great value hotel, recommend it to everyone. The interior design is modern, very nice and extremely clean — the quality is in everything. The rooms are small but cosy, very well organised, with all the essentials you need. Very though through layout of the area, comfortable beds, air-conditioner or a heater (you will probably need only the last one in Edinburgh). The booking and check out is quick and easy, and the staff is very friendly and attentive. It was my first time at a Motel One chain hotel, and nowadays I always look if there is any in the places I go to, and I always experience great service and very consistent quality. German way of doing business at its finest.

We were very surprised how far the Motel One of the other houses, stands in the same category. A successful room furnishings beds the me, in part, to a chic boutique hotel reminiscent of a comfortable width, as well as a very good performance of the Housekeeping. Edinburgh Princes Street has motivated, very friendly staff, who have kept their naturalness in dealing with customers.

The Hotel is — as with all Motel One very nice, clean and modern. Reception is open 24 hours and the staff is very very friendly and helpful. The location is for a city trip perfectly. Right in the centre, to walk to everything. The only small Minus is the small selection of lactose free products at Breakfast. There was, however, Sojmilch :-)

Very friendly and, surprisingly, English speaking reception. The rooms are simple but with a good bed, small window, but ok — in a Positive electric kettle in the room. Very clean! Beautiful Lounge with great window seats with views of the Princess Street and the Castle. The price was much too high (Fringe, Tattoo etc. )
