I received a warm and friendly welcome which continued throughout my stay for myself and my dog. Martin suggested safe places to walk him so he was comfy too. Though my room was a top floor one it was still spacious with a spotless en-suite and s huuuge bed. Breakfast choice was pre selection and plenty choice for vegan and gluten free. Not hurried, I was able to prepare my day as did the others staying in their ways. Parking was opposite in a lay-up by sports fields.

Kate was lovely the b&b was very clean and a lovely touch with the complimentary toiletries. The breakfast was amazing fry up of course. Couldn't recommend this b&b enough definitely will be back.

Can't fault the place. It's clean, comfortable and the staff are friendly and very helpful. I enjoyed my stay here and would recommend.

Fantastic find. Great location near Castle in Edinburgh. Short walk or bus ride to all attraction and shops. A really good full Scottish Breakfast at such a good price. Well worth the money. Would stay there again.

Fantastic staff/owners nothing too much trouble. Half hour walk to the city centre or buses at very regular intervals. Great stay both times we’ve been.

5 srar musts… 1 clean, tidy and quiet 2 pleasant hosts 3 good breakfast 4 comfortable bed 5 good shower 4 stars as shower was poor… everything else very good. Excellent location, 20 min walk into city… easy bus service, free local parking. Only negative our room (3) would benefit from an enclosed shower and improved clothes hanging facilities.

Compact and bijoux room but got everything you need. Amazing view over Edinburgh from my window. Can see Calton Hill and the Castle.

Fab location, really friendly owners, plenty of extra nice touches to make your stay that bit special, handy for bus into town or a lovely walk if you choose — only 20
Mins. We would definitely come back here if we came back to Edinburgh. Can't recommend enough. 5*!

Great place to stay. Lovely clean rooms with everything you could need. Great location; handy for the coast and city centre. We took our dog, everyone was fantastic directing us to dog friendly pubs and places to walk. Said dog even got a spare sausage at breakfast so he thought it was wooferly too. Can't thank Martin enough for the great welcome; breakfast was fantastic ; beds comfortable; warm and so very welcoming to everyone. Will definitely return when next in Edinburgh.

Great people, very friendly, good food, a bit pricy but still okay and in any case worth the money.

We had a wonderful stay, my wife and I stayed 4 nights and very much enjoyed it. The Garfield guest house is a lovely house, spacious and very well appointed. We stayed in a front room with spectacular views of the castle. I found it as comfortable as a hotel at a much lower price, it was a nice home from home experience. I enjoyed the spacious bathroom and power shower! The breakfast is very generous, home cooked. Martin is very nice and helpful, he gave us some great recommendations. There is also a bus stop right outside the house which takes you to and from the city centre. Would definitely stay there again.

Garfield guesthouse is a wonderful place to stay. The guesthouse owner Martin is very kind and friendly and will help you out however he can with regards your time in Edinburgh. Also, If your lucky enough to meet the wonderful Michelle who works here, you will most certainly enjoy your time! She was an amazing hostess and made our stay unforgettable! The guesthouse is in a prime location with a short 8 min bus to get you to the very centre of city and the bus stop is right outside the doorstep and are very frequent! also. Breakfast in the morning here is one of the very best I have ever had! cannot wait to visit again! :).

Great and comfortable guest house/B&B with lovely views to castle! Owner Martin checked us in, carried bags up, provided info about Edinburgh's attractions and where to eat/drink out. He was able to provide tour tickets and the bus comes from outside every 20 minutes! Price was very reasonable and great value we thought and as a result have stayed quite a few times when visiting from London. A true home away from home and into the centre in ten minutes. With a great fresh cooked to order breakfast. Superb. See you soon/ Highly recommended. *****/*****.
