Very well appointed, clean, cosy and all you would expect from a City Hotel in the Best Western franchise. 50 yards from the bus stop straight into Princess Street (No’s 11 ad 15) with a bus every 12 mins and a 15 min journey. What’s not to like 😍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿💥

Warm friendly greeting despite covid measures in place… bonus surprise of free upgrade to a superior room with park view… wonderful room with it's own fully functional bathroom, dressing table, fridge, kettle, sink, seated balcony window and queen size bed.

Great hotel… concrete floors so no Hurd of elephants in the room above… big rooms… superb shower and ground floor rooms have a private smoking area… free parking.

Beautiful building. Can be cold but expected. The food is aaaaamazing. Breakfast fantastic and you can ask for stuff that isn't there.

Very helpful and accommodating staff, always made to feel so welcome and they remember us which is lovely.

Had Christmas dinner in 1886 absolutely delicious and well priced.

We had a fabulous night Christmas party and overnight stay lovely rooms function suite and lovely breakfast in morning. The staff were fantastic and couldn’t do enough and catered for our party and gluten free menu was fantastic. The Irish manageress Brona from Dublin was lovely and from booking to special dietary requirements sorted everything out very efficiently. A true credit to the hotel. We have already decided to book for next year.

Was there for a wedding a few years ago the hotel was lovely and the staff was great with the kids and I had 7 with me at that time friendly clean and spacious would go back x.

Excellent venue for a wedding the staff went out of their way to make it a perfect day and weekend, the rooms where huge and it’s the first time I’ve booked a room with a upstairs double room, thanks again from the bestman of the new Mr and Mrs Dagg.

Here for a wedding. Have had the best time. As a wedding venue, Amazing, every detail has been thought of. Food is fantastic. The staff are brilliant, nothing is too much trouble. Would HIGHLY recommend staying here.

Stopped off for a cold drink with my son. This hotel is almost on my doorstep but never been there
thats all changed now will defo be going back for a meal or drinks. Lovely hotel, lovely views and just a general nice apmosphere. Only one thing spoilt it. The stoney faced barman!. I politely ordered 2 drinks, which he poured, and asked for the money, no please and no thank you!. I detest bad manners and thought this a rude guy. Hopefully I wont meet him again.

Lovely hotel very homely, really friendly staff, gave us a free upgrade on arrival to luxury double (226) was lovely with a view of the park, had a great breakfast too, we stayed for 5 days and couldn't fault it, great setting and lovely views will definitely be back.

We had our wedding here on 23/03/19 and it was amazing from start to finish. From booking till the day after, everything went smoothly. Our wedding day went perfectly and Grainne and the rest of the staff were amazing. All our guests have commented on how lovely the food was, how nice and accommodating the staff were and how comfortable and nice the rooms were. We honestly couldn’t have picked a better venue. Grainne and the staff went over and above for us the whole weekend. Wish we could do it all over again.

My daughter Gillian married Steve Graham at the Braid Hills last Saturday and the day, from start to finish was fantastic. Grainne helped so much with the preparations before hand and on the day made sure everything ran smoothly. The whole team, from Grainne and Elise in events, to Josef in the restaurant and the Executive Chef who produced the most delicious food, all deserve 5 stars. Guests commented on the lovely relaxed atmosphere, the fantastic food and the wonderful setting, with the Gathering bar, the beer garden and the decking with views down over Edinburgh. We recently had our wedding at the Braidhills Hotel and it really was the best day ever. From the outset we met with Grainne how could not have been more warm, friendly and attentive to our wishes. We soon discovered that all the staff at the Braidhills were equally as friendly and efficient. They could not have done more to help us and make our day one of the best! The food was outstanding and commended on by all our guests, the master of ceremonies — who our young nieces and nephews were convinced was santa, was excellent and played along with their assumption. The bar staff were great and quick to see to everyone as soon as possible. We would also totally recommend the DJ (Chaplains disco), Jim was superb at playing to the crowd and meeting different generations music tastes needs. The honeymoon suit is also beautiful. We can't recommend it as wedding venue enough. Thank you for making our day so special.

What a nice find. Traditional hotel with traditional Scottish decor. Room was small but very nice decor. Great shower ; choice of overhead drench or hand held spray. Good hairdryer supplied. Cleanliness was good. Our radiator was a bit on the cool side but was rectified the next day after mentioning it to the reception. Staff were lovely so helpful and caring. Buffet breakfast was excellent again the staff were very pleasant. We choose to eat out with busy Morningside and Bruntsfield providing good bars and restaraunts no need to go into town. This area has lots of history to it too. We walked down to the ‘Cannymans’ bar 15 mins downhill and onto Brunstfield for an Indian meal. The restaraunts were busy so booking one might be advisable. We got a taxi back which was worth the £7-£8. There’s also private dining options for groups which looked nice for a small family event. ‘The library’ was set up when we were there and looked lovely. Takes up to 16 people. No lift but staff on hand to help with luggage if you’re not so able to carry them up stairs. Would definitely recommend a stay here.

Good location. Parking spaces. Staff very friendly and welcoming.
We were given a room upgrade to a spacious airy room.
Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel which is good.
We did not have an evening meal or drinks from the bar, but we did have breakfast, which is served until 10am. That is another plus as it puts the customer's comfort before the hotel. It means you can have a leisurely morning.
Breakfast is serve yourself. Nice cold selection of fruits. The cooked breakfast available was eggs, bacon, black pudding, mushrooms and hash browns. The cooked food was ok but not outstanding.
Complimentary newspaper was another plus.
I have stayed here before and would not hesitate to stay again.

One of the best hotel I have stay in for all time staff was second to none the food was to die for the room was amazing one of the best stay ever you must go will go again without a doubt.
