Another great visit — sat outside watching the tide turn with drinks. Two great lunches — my husband had delicious belly pork and myself fish snd chips. The batter on the fish was wonderfully light and crispy — not at all greasy — the fish was a good size and tasty. Smashing bar staff. Lots of care in the little things — really good dressing on the side salad and tasty pea shoots with the fish.

Anglesey Arms catered for a group of 39 (originally 34) and the group sung their praises. The food was delicious, waitresses/waiters were extremely friendly and the group really enjoyed their evening. Thanks Anglesey Arms team, see you again 😁

Had two meals, one at lunch and another in the evening and really enjoyed both. Not a huge choice but enough and the daily specials were great. Really friendly and polite service. Dog made to feel welcome too. Would absolutely recommend.

Absolutely love this pub. My dad is a regular so we always receive the warmest of welcomes from the brilliant staff. Food is always excellent. Love coming here particularly as our dogs are as welcome as us humans xx will return time and again and all that before we get onto the amazing views & sunsets xx.

Went there today (23rd November), the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming. So dog friendly, the landlady hand fed our GSD/lab cross ham and sausage! Our lasagne and mussels with chips were also delicious. Would definitely go back next time we’re in Caernarfon.

Food was fantastic all homemade and very reasonably priced. Will deffo be going there again.

The staff here went an extra mile to help me out of my predicament on Saturday, because even though they were full, they found me a room at a nearby B&B and even took me there They also lent me their card machine charger so that I could charge my phone. Can't recommend them highly enough.

We would like a say a huge thank you to the wonderful owners and all the staff. We have really enjoyed our stay at The Anglesey Arms. Everyone was so nice and welcoming and we love how Dog friendly it is, Chunk loved the big fire. Our Room had amazing views of the Menai and it was so homely, we loved it. The breakfast was so nice and the Customer service was excellent, so friendly (have to give Sonia a mention as she is just a breath of fresh air and just so lovely) but you all are. Canerfon is such a lovely town and we have had such a nice break and it was lovely seeing the New Year in at this wonderful place. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much. Brilliant pub. Staff really welcoming and the B&B side to the business is great. Comfortable beds and clean shower room. The breakfast is well worth a recommendation. great selection of beers and spirits at the bar and a brilliant view across the bay.

Chilling outside, relaxed atmosphere great music fantastic weather. Absolutely brilliant position overlooking the straits.

Just got home after a long weekend stay at The Anglesey Arms with my partner, dog and baby girl, we had a wonderful time, staff were fab, super friendly! Great location with amazing views.

We saw lots of good reviews and the pub was dog friendly so we decided to have lunch here. Very happy we did Really friendly staff, tasty food, proper portions and ⭐ definitely ⭐ dog friendly. Oh and delicious gravy. Thanks.

A lovely place. The staff are all really friendly. Parking is a big issue but the food is very nice and very reasonably priced. As the area goes for real value for money plus a great service and a very warm welcome this is a definite first stop. I would definitely return.

Nice looking building outside so I thought it may be a bit of a ponsy tourist trap. It was a lovely surprise to find a friendly down to earth local feeling inside. Stayed for dinner which was good. Really good views over to Anglesey & very handy location after visiting the castle.

This pub is in an ideal position between the castle and the sea. We sat outside in the sunshine in the afternoon and enjoyed the views. The beer was good, Hobgoblin was on, one of my favourites. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed it so much we decided to go back in the evening to eat. We all enjoyed our meals even the children aged 4 and 6! It was a popular place, very busy but the staff were great helping the children to choose there ice-creams. Definitely recommend this pub.

Unrivalled location… with views over the Straits towards Anglesey. Sat on a table by the harbour wall on a perfect hot summer's evening enjoying a long cool drink, with live music being performed. Life doesn't get much better… The pub is very clean, and incredibly busy with a good mix of locals and visitors. The staff are very attentive and friendly, and the service is quick. Definitely worth a visit.

We have just had a lovely couple of days staying at the Anglesey arms, I was hoping to stay last minute and the staff really made such an effort to accommodate me which was so helpful. The staff are lovely, can’t do enough for you. The lady who makes the breakfast and cleans the room is lovely and nothing is too much bother. Would recommend for comfortable bed. Great views and location, we were able to park outside the pub all the time which was a god send❤️ Thank you so much.

Highly recommended. The staff is very sympathetic and helpful, you immediately feel welcome. The food is good and inexpensive. On weekends there is live music and the location is absolutely fantastic. The equipment is rather simple, but is undergoing renovation and is only secondary in view of the wonderful atmosphere anyway. We'll be happy to come back!

Wife and l decided to have a meal here after a pleasant day out. It was a poor end to the day. My wife ordered Sirloin steak, l ordered lamb shank with minted mash and roasted root vegetables. I got lamb shank minted mash, gravy and salad. Who serves salad with a gravy meal? My wife didn't finish her steak, that is the first time I have known that in all the meals we have eaten out together. The pub has a lovely setting to sit outside and have a drink.

Not impressed at all. I placed an order for a chicken and mushroom dish because the menu stated it came with gnocchi. As I was tired of chips, I ordered it instead of the chicken and mushroom pie. When the food came, it had chips and no gnocchi. I asked the server and she said they were out, so the cook substituted the chips. I wasn't told ahead of time or asked if it was ok. I explained that and she shrugged her shoulders. I proceeded to eat my meal. The chicken dish was bland. My husband ordered lasagna and it too bland. Not at all impressed. The food was mediocre at best, especially considering the higher prices. Do not really recommend.

Stopped at this pub because it looked very welcoming and the views were awesome. Service was a bit poor to begin with but the staff were lovely and most pleasant. Our dogs were made to feel very welcome and even given some treats. I would definitely go here again.

Good ale and pub food with a band outside on a sunny afternoon. Quite busy with a good atmosphere. Overlooks the water and harbour, great position right by the castle.

Great Inn in a very picturesque location on the harbour, surrounded by the castle walls. The Anglesey isn't newly fit some others in the local but this adds to the authenticity I suppose. It's clean, friendly and full of charm. The ale and food are top notch. We didn't stay here so I can't comment on the boarding. I can imagine this place would be hard to beat for food a day a drink or two on a sunny afternoon.

A place where local underage drinking is allowed and they throw empties into the harbour! The landlord isnt interested. Would never recommend this place ever …

Its a great Pub with perfect scenic view on the sea, directly infront of the city wall, next to the castle. Great food, life music and B&B. Can be a bit noisy during the life music sessions. Very friendly and welcoming people plus free parking. Dog friendly, would come again!

Been before and enjoyed. This time overcooked to inedible burger. Loud music and television on loud in same area with only three customers in. Not at all relaxing or enjoyable.

Fantastic Local Inn… really nice inexpensive and fantastic menu and serves many Local ales and wine's… with outside seating and fantastic views across the Menai Straits to Anglesey and beyond… Highly recommended… Also has accommodation B&B.

We always visit when ever we are In Caernarfon which is quite at bit! I have to say that the staff are always very kind and helpful to me and the kids, what more can you ask for? Food is good too… great location but very busy on a sunny day! Live music some days… can't think of anywhere better to be after a walk along the sea front.

Found the staff to be fantastic and so nicentre. Would come back again. Price is excellent. View and location is beautiful. Enjoying my time here. great.

Lovely place with great views by the water. Beer selection is fairly ok, however the service is exceptional. Lot of locals frequent the place although its in a touristy spot. Worth it!

Nice friendly pub, first time there tonight… the food was nice and they have an open Mike night on Thursdays around 8.30 pm. Really enjoyed it… will become a regular Thursday evening for us now.

Friendly staff. Tasty food. It may be dark outside but there is a very, very big castle next door… which we didn't notice until the following day. Full marks to the bar man.

Just spent 2 days here took the wife away because it was her birthday on the Monday, cannot express enough what a good time both of us had, jeff the owner was around if we needed to talk to him, and the young girl carried our holdall upto our room, we had breakfast both mornings and I can say it was excellent, we had a evening meal which was also excellent, the pub is in a wonderful spot, the views are amazing, and the castle right on your door step, would like to thank the Anglesey arms from staff upto management for a wonderful 2 days there and looking forward to being back next year but in the summer… thank you all.

This place was our favorite place on our visit to Wales. The people are so friendly, the owner even helped our friend find another car when ours broke down getting there. We cant say enough great things about this place, we definitely want to go back!

Nipped in on Monday while we were in caernarfon. Ordered Anglesey fish chips and mushy peas. While they were really busy the food came quite quickly and was the best fish I've ever tasted. The batter was spot on and the chips were cooked just right. Customer service is good and the lager is poured well. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area.

Perfect setting, good beers and a very tasty burger. Service was agreeable and we spent a good evening there!

One of the nicest places in Caernarfon on a sunny day for a pint or two, live entertainment and food available.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The staff was friendly and the manager great with helping us decide what to do for our day trips. Lively atmosphere which we loved because things were quiet by 11:00 pm. Entrance area before getting to our room was tired and needed a refresh but the room itself was fine and with a beautiful view.

Lovely spot in front of castle, beer selection ok but well kept, food very good, service and staff excellent.

Spent the evening here when staying in wales — live music, busy and all round great fun. Stayed for 6 hours and watched the sunset. Would go back in a flash.

Food ok. Fish was a bit soggy and the pie was of the type that wears a puff pastry hat on a dish of gravy. Live music fantastic. Outside seating brilliant for views across the harbour or of the castle. Manager seemed really miffed when we asked for more time to decide what we wanted to order.

As a group of 10 people we sat outside on 2 picnic tables. We ordered drinks for everyone and 2 portions of chips and got out some food for the children/babies. A member of staff came out and shouted across the tables that we weren't to eat our own food and 'that we wouldn't do it in McDonald's'. She then told us to go round the corner if we wanted to eat our food. Had she approached us and told us politely then we would not have had a problem but it was her tone and manner that we objected to. She was just so, so rude (and the chips weren't even that nice! )

Very rude staff. Not busy and wouldn't let children eat their picnic outside even though drinks for 9 people and chips had been purchased. We were not even asked nicely but shouted at across the outside area. Appalling treatment to customers that had otherwise been polite, making the children feel very upset and asking us to leave without finishing our drinks and chips. Cannot express how uncomfortable we were made to feel.
