Accommodation was comfortable and good value. Our visit was marred slightly by a lack of commmunication between staff and management which meant that the bike storage we had been promised was not available. Food was good but miscommunication between kitchen and front-of-house led to an unacceptable 3 hour wait to be served. Great potential but be prepared to have to throw your toys out the pram if you want fed before 10pm.

We stayed here on business the staff are fab. The food is fab. The rooms are great. The bar and restaurant prices are very good atmosphere great WHAT A FIND!

Food is great and so is staff. Meeting Tatsuya was also a pleasure. This place is a must for whisky amateurs but I only gave it a 4/5 because I was disappointed with the whisky list. Last time I visited, it was much deeper with much more unique expressions.

Nice pub with good food. You can also sit outside. Wide selection of single malts (not just from Scotland). Friendly staff. Free Wi-Fi. Unfortunately, I cannot say anything about accommodation.

The Highlander Inn specialises in accommodating whisky enthusiasts with its bar of 300+ whisky expressions. It is a small boutique hotel with 6 double ensuite rooms and a cottage available across the road for a small group. I took advantage of their winter offer (November to February) of free whisky each evening up to the equivalent of the accommodation on a bed & breakfast basis. £75 for single person using a double room, £100 for double/twin. I stayed for three nights. I enjoyed two course meals and at least 3 pints of beer each evening, which with the free whisky cost an average of £105 per night. £315 for a great whisky experience tasting some very rare drams made for a great break.

Cozy, comfy room, friendly service, perfect location, really delicious food, and stellar whiskey bar. Highly recommend the Winter Whisky deal if you are going between December and February.

Didn't stay at the inn, just ate food and had some whiskey. I had the pan fried salmon; after eating incredibly unhealthy food for a couple days it seemed the healthiest option. And it was delicious! Incredibly crispy salmon, and vegetables with a tasty sauce. I'd recommend it. After attending a couple other restaurants and bars on our trip, I was underwhelmed by their whiskey selection. Still not bad, but not in the upper echelon of establishments offering whiskey. Overall, definitely recommend the place.

One of my favorite whisky bar in scotland, the picky owner Tasuya never compromise bar private bottling, definitely worth for a dram or buy a bottle back to share with your friends.

I only went to the bar, so can't comment on the accommodation and hotel. A mixed bag to be honest. Some bits pretty good, some not so much. Really it's all about the whisky. I like whisky but I'm a local and have my favourites so I may not be the 'target market'. I dropped in for a beer and early supper one May evening. Not that busy but the atmosphere was good with tourists and walkers doing the Speyside Way chatting and exchanging experiences. I think it is often used as a staging post. Beer was Ok, not fab, but thirstquenching anyway. Menu was limited and very traditional; burgers, fish and chips etc. I chose a burger, which the menu offers with a long list of extra toppings. I asked for a fried egg, not on the menu to be fair, but not too tricky to deliver, I'd have thought. Sadly the chef declined to fry me one. Food was served at the bar-table by cheerful waitpeople. Overall, if you want to sample a huge range of whiskies from all over the World (not just Scotland) you'll enjoy it. But if you want a nice supper and a few beers in my view there are other places that offer nicer food and better value.

Great place with a personal service and an amazing whisky selection the food was upscale pub. I recommend calling a cab if you are there, because you will be tempted to try out there special highlander inn whisky. At the moment it is a 19 year old Benrinnes.

Terrific, cozy, friendly place, with good simple food and rooms. 400 single malt whiskeys at the Inn to choose from. Excellent value overall. Perfectly suited for distillery tours. Recommend Glenfiddich to the South.

A friendly hotel well located for visiting the many distilleries on Speyside. Our room was clean although slightly past it's best. We ate breakfast and an evening meal in the hotel and both were good value and of good quality. The whisky bar is a must for whisky enthusiasts with an unbelievable range of whiskies available.

Soup and sandwiches for luch were great, I love home made soup and thats exactly what you get here, it's the home made and friendly welcome that greets you too. Great staff, especially Duncan, with a fabulous whisky selection and great wish to chat to people about it along with good food and somewhere to lay your head for the night. Can you really ask for more.

The Highlander Inn is one of the most famous bars on the Speyside Whisky Trail. Set on the edge of Craigellachie, it has one of the largest collections of whisky I have seen in a public bar. There are some extremely rare drams including a Japanese Chichibu which was one of only twelve bottles in the world and was well worth the £10 price tag. Food is very good, I had the steak pie which was made from quality beef and served with well cooked vegetables. If you like a dram then this is a must stop at bar when you are in the Speyside region.
