Stayed here on the 2nd and 3rd Jan. Not the best experience by any means. Several things wrong with the suite. After making the point regarding one issue with reception I was told that the maintenance team didn't work that weekend but would be fixed the following day (still wasn't done) then to my amazement I was charged for drinks and food when I checked my online banking when I returned home. I never stepped foot in the reastraunt… phoned the hotel about the yesterday morning, and still haven't heard anything back.

Nice afternoon tea but all the cakes were chocolate based. Although we got sticky toffee pudding it would have been nice to get some variety of cakes. Staff were very nice during a busy service although dirty dishes were not taken away.

My favourite hotel in Aberdeen. Service from all staff is top class and the food and drinks on par as well as the staff. Favourite rooms are the suites and deluxe rooms. Highly recommend the Mal for staying over and dining.

Recently stayed for the Girls Weekend Package and it was fantastic ⭐️. Rooms were lovely, food was delicious, cocktails were amazing and staff went above and beyond. Couldn’t fault a single thing ❤️

The is is the first time back for over 18 months and is has not disappointed, Staff are really pleasant and friendly, place is lovely and cosy,. The food is superb so really glad we booked, well done.

Had a lovely family lunch and although we knew it wouldn’t be warm we did think the patio heaters would be on. We had a 2 hour slot but only stayed an hour.

Lovely meal whilst sat outside in the garden seating due to COVID restrictions. Well set up and staff were lovely and attentive.

What a fantastic place to stay the staff were amazing from start to finish very friendly and helpful, two young ladies who made me feel at home I have stopped in some hotels and been made to feel uncomfortable but this one was special love it here and would defo stay again the room is very modern and clean fantastic 5stars and the staff amazing especially the girl who served me my room was 212 very impressed.

£14 Quid and they wont give you extra too ofcourse unless you pay for 2 portions so £28. Most expensive Mac & Cheese since sliced bread and it wont even fill up an 8 year old! Worst one of the lot of them, certain staff can also do with being taught a bit in Customer Service. Stay in the Dundee one, miles better. Appalled! May I add these aren’t even cooked when you order but rather microwaved too at that so £14 for a microwave mac and cheese that leaves you starving or like me you have no choice to get 2 thats £28 for microwave pasta & cheese. Please make it make sense.

Went for lunch today. Fixed price three course meal for £25. Really good value, prepared well and tasted lovely. We were a table of four and everybody throughly enjoyed their meal. Even the no alcohol prosecco was good.

I had a full body massage with the lovely Nicola. She was very professional, made sure I felt comfortable throughout. Even with the covid restrictions I felt so relaxed. Definitely will be back, it was great thank you!

Had a great breakfast here with my wife served by friendly staff.

I've been twice now for a massage at the spa with Nikki and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for treatments. Nikki has a friendly manner, is very knowledgeable and informative and she definitely gets a 5star rating from me. Can't wait to go back for my next treatment.

We had a fabulous double date night for dinner.

Couldn’t use the bar due to covid or have a wine with our meal but that didn’t stop us having a beautiful stay! The room was amazing! We stayed in a junior suite and the bath and shower were both superb. We had a meal in the restaurant and it was beautiful, the staff were attentive and friendly. The bed was huge and really comfy! My partner was happily surprised to find out we had sky sports in our room, kept him quiet whilst I enjoyed a long sock with my book! Will definitely return when restrictions have been lifted!

A good location near the city centre, friendly staff, really nice room (including a good sized bathroom and a balcony with a view), all made for a very pleasant stay.

It was a lovely break in a lovely stylish hotel. The breakfast was very nice.

Amazing and tasty food and great service.

Generally love this hotel but let down by restaurant service last night. Slow and didn’t really seem to care too much. I know things are limited due to Brasserie refurb but no excuse for not knowing what you are serving.

We had lunch in the brasserie at the weekend using an itison voucher. Lovely meal and fantastic service. We had our one year old daughter with us who had a great time and the staff were so good with her. She loved her sliders.

My husband & I were on Monday for lunch, absolutely wonderful meal and very helpful & pleasant staff, certainly look forward to returning.

We usually love Malmaison, however, we were in yesterday for a birthday and the cocktail I asked for couldn’t be made as they said they had ran out of the ingredients to make it, then another 2 cocktail drinks we ordered were missing vital ingredients which tasted awful … they did change them and made them correctly second time! We had a terribly long wait for food and was told it was because they were busy serving brunch. We were then presented with the wrong bill which took 10+ minutes to refund as a Manager had to do it. No apology or discount offered. Not impressed at all and put a damper on the birthday celebrations.

I'll say that the hotel itself is very nice, a mix between a vintage palace, classic and the modern inside. The room is wide, beautiful. Very comfortable bed. Spacious bathroom with shower and tub divided. But although it is apparently all precise and clean, I have had to note that the cleanliness is perhaps a little superficial. Let me explain. Moving the bedside table to attach the phone charger, on the ground I find a cap of a bottle of Coca-Cola, behind the bedside table precisely, this means that the furniture (at least small ones, such as bedside tables or tables) are not moved during the change of the guests and for a tree like that, it's not good. Finally I have to review the restaurant too. Here, too, apparently all nice, open kitchen counter, Angus meat divided by category with the various cuts possible so you can choose more easily. Well. There were three of us, two adults and a 5-year-old girl. 7 p. M. 20 or so. We order 3 soups of the day and 3 fillets. Easy. Soups arrive in 15-20 minutes and that's fine. At 9 p. M. Of the meat still nothing. At 9 p. M. 30 We ask for enlightenment, maybe they lost order. The waitress tells us she's going to inquire. At 9 p. M. 50 I call her saying that I understand the line, but at least for the little girl to get any kind of meat also because she was going to fall asleep. At 10 p. M. The three fillets arrive. We eat and ask for the bill, which of course comes immediately (the one that comes right away), about 150 euros.

Awful! Went for afternoon tea, service was poor, staff no where to be seen on several occasions, including when we wished to pay the bill. Muddled us vegetarian and meat which almost resulted in a horrible situation. When we complained we were told “we were having a staff meeting” and person seemed to think that was ok that we got left?! Anyway paid for the tea and thought due to bad service they gave us the food free and no service charge. Only to wake up today to see money has been taken out of my card for 90£ without my card being present is that even legal?! How can they have my card details saved when I used chip and pin?!?!

We went here yesterday as my son bought afternoon tea for myself and my husband for my birthday. Bearing in mind he’s only 15 so it was a lot of money for him to spend.
Firstly the staff were very go so no complaints there!
Initially no spoon for my tea although soon sorted when I asked the waitress.
3 different sandwiches although 1 bagel very chewy so not particularly fresh!
On to scones. No choice of scone but disappointed no cream to got with it. What’s afternoon tea if you don’t have scone with jam and cream!
We had a mixture of cakes although 2 chocolate cakes which is not to my liking but probably would suit others. Small cheesecake but then again no spoon to eat it with. Again rectified by the lovely waitress.
Not great and certainly wouldn’t hurry to go back.
Over rated and a waste of my sons money.

Delicious! Perfect steak. Lovely atmosphere. Not as posh as I thought it would be which was a nice surprise. It was a lot more relaxed than I expected. But still really nice. So dress smart casual.

Hotel is lovley an smart. Staff were brilliant and always helpful. Room 106 not the best. It has a view of a blank wall and is at the head of the stairs. Bed is hard. I know for some that's what they like but not me. Parking is round the back but no problem with space Overall a nice hotel.

We are just home from a Father’s Day meal and didn’t enjoy it at all!
We got sat at a table that looked as though it was thrown in the corner right next to where the desserts were. We went and got our starters which were ok. And we had to sit and wait for our main meal for nearly a hour.
When the food arrived we went to eat it and wasn’t great at all. The beef was very chewy and the vegetables were cold. My 7 year old son who’s seat was placed right behind the dessert corner was constantly getting moved back and forth while other people were trying to get their puddings stretching over him and tilting his chair. It was not a very nice experience especially when I booked it for a treat for my husbands Father’s Day from the kids. I have been to malmasion many times and never had any issues but I don’t think I will be returning anytime soon.

Lunch: good selection of starters from buffet. Main course nice and banana creme brulee was delicious. Attentive, friendly staff. Decor was a bit dark but nicely laid out. We would recommend this lunch. No one rushing you out which makes a change.

Brasserie food is delicious! The steaks we had were cooked tobperfection! Some rooms are pretty fancy with in-room bath tubs! Would definitely recommend staying here!

Good place. Pricey. Good service but staff can be stretched at times. If you want somewhere upmarket for a birthday (or any occasion) then this is a dead cert.

I'm sad to say this place is slowly sinking. Food choice, quality and preparation are getting lower. Was shocked at how much the "Sunday brunch" had deteriorated when I visited last week. Cocktails are still great though.

Beautiful and cozy interior with elegant furnishings. This place is famous for its steak. The steak was done to perfection and melted in the mouth. The black peppercorn sauce that I ordered had a burned taste to it. Service was extremely slow. We were there at 7.30pm and our food was only served at 9.10pm. We waited for more than an hour and we were starving. The bread basket was pathetic. They forgot the side order too. Great food but poor service unfortunately.

Must have been here over 20 times and everytime the food has been excellent. Best steak in Aberdeen. Love the decoration of the restaurant. Only slight niggle is it takes awhile to get a cocktail, so you are always better to order your next one when you get your drink!

Very nice venue, best malmaison ive stayed in. Restaurant was top notch, very relaxed and stylish feel with top quality food. Had 3 meals there and all 3 were very nice, loads of flavour and very well presented. Staff were very helpful and willing to accommodate to any requests, highly recommended.

Decided to take my mum to Malmaison for an early Mother’s Day afternoon tea. The bar staff were fantastic. So nice and polite and couldn’t have been more helpful. I cant eat cheese and the Waitress helped change and explained everything for me. Highly recommend afternoon tea such a beautiful and fulfilling variety. Many thanks.

Great cocktails and a beautiful building, however I would say it is a little pretentious. Not for everyone, but lovely nonetheless.

I stayed in this hotel in Aberdeen. Room was nice, I visited the restaurant. Ordered at 8pm and was brought my drink, then after an hour of waiting for a burger I left. And had to drive to a takeaway. Wouldn't recommend.

The restaurant in Malmaison is elegant and stylish, the staff is friendly and welcoming. They have a good wine list, and the cocktails in the bar are great. The food, on the other hand, was a slight disappointment. Everyone eating steak in the group said it was good, however chicken and vegetarian dishes were either bland, dry or salty. I would recommend Malmaison for lunch as I heard it is good, or for drinks as the cocktails are great.

We had a meal in the brasserie. The service was absolutely awful. I don't think I have ever experienced anything like it. The food was quite good but I would avoid based on the waiting staff. I certainly will not be going back!

My daughter and I has a wonderful time at the spa. Liam and his team do such a amazing job from the minute you step through that door to you leave it is pure pampering thank you x will be back.

A down market hotel can be made amazing by excellent staff and vice versa. Malmaison however seems to get everything right. Stunning design, great attention to detail and very friendly and engaging staff.

Was part of a small wedding party and it was brilliant. The staff were fantastic giving us complimentary bottles of prosecco worth £60 a bottle. All staff went out of there way to give the bride and groom the best possible day. On top of the excellent service the food was to die for.

This used to be one of my favorite places for date night but our last visit left such a bad impression that I don't think my husband and I will be in a hurry to go back. We recently went for dinner to celebrate my birthday on a slow Monday evening. We were ignored for the first 15 minutes with no offer of water, cocktails, or menu. My husband's steak was cooked medium instead of medium rare and mine was cooked medium rare instead of medium, we ordered two different cuts so this confusion should not have happened. To top it off, our server neglected to give us steak knives and promptly ignored us for the the first 20 minutes of our meal that by the time we flagged someone down, our steaks had gone cold. Shame to see such a beautiful establishment operate poorly because of inadequate training.

Meh, it's OK but not worth the price. Restaurant for some reason empty sometimes and you still can't get a seat if you have not booked in advance. The Chester was much better like that.

Went on a busy Saturday night and found staff very attentive and knowledgable. Great explanation of food available with recommendations. Drinks orders were a bit slow throughout apparently the bar was busy. Food and menu was good and no compalints with service but overaĺl I found it was a bit pricey for what you get. However the service was outstanding.

Great service. Great poached salmon, great apple pie with custard but average duck leg.

Excellent spa facilities and a superb lunch. A little pricey but well worth it as a treat.

Business trip. Great experience. Nice hotel. Professional and friendly staff.

Reviewing the brasserie. Good food from the kitchen letdown by patchy service from the wait staff. Can only recommend going for the cheaper fixed price menus.

Food in the restaurant is excellent. The Spa is lovely.

Good place to stay, but some rooms require for you to climb stairs to access them. The bar and restaurant are very good, the decor is also great.

A large group of us went midweek and each had different steaks. Everyone was happy with what they received. Mine was excellent. Very quiet as it was midweek, but can't complain about the service or food.

Service 1st class. Food average and very over priced. Burgers were less than average + lacking in flavour and I've had a better steak from my high street butchers. Personally not my cup of tea… but if you want a special night out and don't mind paying give it a whirl.

I visited Malmaison Aberdeen to have some Reflexology & the service was excellent. On arrival we were escorted to the Spa & shown to the Relaxation Room. The actual treatment was very good & I was impressed by the friendly professional manner of Samantha. After my Reflexology my wife & I stayed for a couple of drinks & some lunch. Again I was impressed by the high standard of service & have already booked my next appointment. I highly recommend a visit.

Most amazing hotel experience, definitely worthy of every penny that cost. From the ultra comfortable bedroom, to the full Scottish break, I would seriously recommend this to anyone.

NOT 5 Star! Nowhere to send reviews on your website — wonder why? cocktail spilled on my guest ruining her dress and handbag. Dry clean voucher and 'don't need to pay for drinks' offered (big deal) then at dinner the steaks we wanted and asparagus (! ) sold out! if you are meant to be 5 star then be 5 star!. At end of meal they re-added drinks to our bill which I had to spot, VERY BAD. Nowhere to send reviews on your website — wonder why.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Sat 1st Feb — welcoming staff and superb meal in the restaurant, first-class service throughout — room was excellent and my wife and I both slept well — staff at breakfast very attentive and good-humoured — all in all, an experience thoroughly enjoyed! Many thanks.

Staying here for 2 weeks on business from the states, highly recommended and it lived up to the recommendations. Outstanding dinners, great bar service and very friendly staff. This will be my place to stay every time I'm in Aberdeen.
