MHOR 84 Hotel

Unfortunately serving a veggie a pizza with anchovies is not the way to win good reviews. The cocktails were good and the waitresses were very nice but having a partner with a stomach upset secondary to being fed fish dictates a poor review.

Good food but there is lack of staff. You need to spend efforts to attract attention of the team. But seems to be the best option in that area.

An atypical place with a very neat local cuisine, spacious and well-equipped rooms, very affordable prices. It is tastefully decorated and ideally located to visit the Trossachs. If you like fast service, eat early because from 7.30 pm the restaurant fills up quickly and on the evenings the service is necessarily a little more difficult.

Woaw… definitely not what I expected for such a high price. The hotel room costed £120 and had stains on the floor, seat, on the bed sheets, moist in the corners of the bathroom, dust everywhere, spider web on the ceiling lights, the bed was not even well made… There is a big difference between creating a vintage / American motel vibe, and having a disgusting place that is overpriced. The whole place might be old, and I get it, but you can renovate… Or at least again, put decent prices. A room there shouldn't cost more than £40 per night. The staff was still kind and accepted to refund us so we can leave to go to a decent hotel.

Initially food on arrival was lukewarm. The seafood chowder was lacking in fish — mostly potatoes and carrots. The leek macaroni cheese with a breadcrumb topping was full of so much herbs that I could not taste the cheese — was very overpowering. They kindly reheated the food — but took a long time. The Berry meringues with chantilly cream were delicious. Our complaints about the main course were noted and passed onto the chef.

Really, really lovely place for affordable lodging in Loch Lomond. The staff are all incredibly kind and the food here is super good too! Despite being a 'motel' the room we had was so nicely decorated. Also be sure to pay a stop to the little boutique as they've got some really nice pieces in there (not to mention Tom and Lisa's own gins…)

A definite oasis of cool. We've stayed in the rooms, eaten in the restaurant a few times. The rooms are small but comfortable and the restaurant is first class and very atmospheric. Perfect place to stop for lunch, or cake and coffee when hurtling up and down the A84. Love the place!

An offshoot of the original Delizique in Hyndland with the same quirkiness and great food. Very comfortable beds with top quality bedding.

When you randomly stop somewhere for coffee and it ends up being the cutest place! Great stuff!

This a cracking place, right on the roadside. Great food, quick service, just what you need after a day on the hills.

We came to mhor 84 on the 27nd of December. Some guy was playing live music. Which was very nice! The staff was nice but forgot about our orders 3 times that night. It ended up up with us going up to the bar 3 times. One lady forgot us twice, even after asking for sth for the second time. Which wasnt very nice. It was early in the night and the restaurant wasn't busy. Starter. We had olives as a starter. Ordered some extra balsamic vinegar and oil, which was a good idea. Main. Vegetarian burger. There were nice. But a little bit too dry. They could do with a nice sauce (whisky sauce? super easy to make). And what about some more exciting chips? I still give this place 4 stars. Because the staff was apologetic and our desserts were delicious!

Pleasant staff, excellent meals, arrival surroundings and a rustic setting. Great place for a quiet drink or a meal, and deserts to die for. Big thumbs up!

Went for a lunch with my partner. We had soup and sandwich. The soup was chucky vegetable and our sandwiches were 1) smoked chicken and 2) ploughman's. Both were tasty and came with a dressed side salad. We ordered coffee and a caramel shortbread, and doughnut to go from the amazing selection of cakes and meringues. Waiting staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back again!

One of the best lunches I've had in a bery long time. Had mussels and they were to die for! Not sure about the shabby chic decor however even this could not detract from the wonderful lunch.

Fantastic food (steak) lovely staff and service couldn’t fault it. Great to find somewhere where they have a proper chef and not straight from freezer.

Charming hotel with cottages. Stunning views of the hills and it has great food with especially delicious cakes and sweets.

Fantastic food. Would definitely recommend a visit along with doing the short walk behind Balquidder chruch (Rob Roy's grave). The service was a little slow at times which stopped me giving 5 stars.

Went for a family lunch. The fish and chips and burgers were good but the other dishes tried to be too fancy and were lacking in quantity. Half of the dishes served were also cold. I raised this and the staff were very apologetic and sorted us out with deserts on the house, a very good recovery. Overall I was disappointed though.

We went to eat there after a walk, decor was really cool, very different! Staff were friendly and polite, and the food was amazing! I had venison stroganoff, and my partner had the rump steak, both were really really good. Would definitely recommend and will be going again next time we're passing!

Absolutely loved the food in the restaurant here so much we came back twice. The food is high quality, largely local, and very tasty. The atmosphere is cozy but chic (and still kid-friendly). The service was impeccable. Would consider stopping by in Balquhidder next time in Scotland just for the food here.

Cosy clean room. Good shower, great breakfast (not Inc). Friendly helpful staff.

A pleasant spot for a stop off. We had a beer outside as it was a lovely evening. The dining room was busy so be advised to book. From past experience the food is good. Staff are friendly.

Loved it. Food is amazing. The staff are all so very nice and attentive. Our room was small but very clean. We've been travelling around and this is the best bathroom and bed we have slept in since we left Australia. Would highly recommend it here.

We only ate here but it was delicious. Excellent steak, perfectly grilled and very rich in taste. Dessert was a dream as well. Awesome. :)
