Had a wonderful birthday lunch today. Food was delicious, service first class, ambience perfect and hygienic in all areas was perfect. Could not have picked a better place to go for our first luncheon outing after lockdown. Highly recommend. Celebrated three birthdays as two were during lockdown. Highly recommend. Thank you for making my day perfect.

Clean and modern room with fantastic views. Food was excellent and the service was top notch. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area.

Enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch in garden room overlooking the beach and the Isle ofJura in the distance. Service was good and the menu had plenty of choices.

Hardly anywhere to eat within a 30 mile radius so tried the Argyll hotel. First impressions good, friendly staff and good service. We tried the soup options to start with and had chicken ballotine for main. The food was average, however we were relieved we got any food at all looking all over for places to eat in Campbeltown and having no luck. Fantastic sea view if you book a table near the window in advance. Never tried the pool table but looked in good working order. Foul sewage smell nearby was off putting but thankfully the smell wasnt present inside the building and dining room.

Food mediocre and exspensive. Manager rude to other guests who left without eating.

A home from home. Have been and stayed several times. Menu and food superb, cleanliness worthy of 5 stars. Stunning views of the Atlantic ocean as you relax and enjoy your stay. Managed/Owned by 2 hoteliers who know how to make you welcome. The hotel inspector (s) would not be able to find fault!

Gem of a place. Stayed 3 nights here and received a lovely welcome. Food fabulous. Staff Lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely sea view room and the conservatory view for breakfast and evening meal was so relaxing. Arrived as guests but left as friends. Can't wait to return. Had a lovely stay here with Ian and Nick who are just the best hosts. So welcoming and greet you by name each time you see them. The food is lovely especially Ian’s breakfast scrambled egg! I even had the pleasure of meeting the 2 gorgeous Dalmatian’s. I stay away quite often with work and this is by far the best customer experience, I hope to be back in the future.

We spent three nights in this cosy little hotel. The dining room looks over to Islay and the beach is right upfront of you. Lovely sunsets. The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. They had vegan choices on the breakfast and dinner menus which was brilliant and totally unexpected. They have two beautiful Dalmatian dogs who are also very friendly. Would definitely stay there again.

Stopped off for lunch. Short wait for food but it is cooked to order. Very tasty and great view of the beach and islands from the restaurant, plenty binoculars about it you want close up views! Friendly staff.

Fantastic location and immense views. I have been coming here for a long time and will always come back as long as the place is open. The food is as good as the venue.

Can't wait to go back to this gem on the Mull of Kintyre. A wonderful welcome for both people and dogs (if you have them). Fantastic location, food and service. Nothing was too much trouble. Don't be put off if you are not a dog owner. Rooms were spotless and there is a lovely "charter" from the owners' dogs as to how visiting hounds should behave. The terrace right on the beach is perfect for pre dinner drinks or a coffee. Breakfast was best vegetarian breakfast I've ever had. Can't even suggest any improvements.

This is my happy place. Calm, scenic and peaceful. Lovely staff and amazing food. Pet friendly. Bring my two dogs who get a lovely welcome! Amazing views and close to Campbelltown, Tarbert and Ghia.

26 june 2016 been for meal this is a great place to eat even have real ale. Young staff very friendly and good at service. We shall return.

Stayed at the weekend, The views are to die for, nice patio right on the beach, rooms were lovely everything you need. And the owner Ian was a fantastic host. Very dog friendly and chilled out we will be back, thanks guys. X.

We stayed on Saturday October 11th and arrived to sunny skies. Walking on the beach at 3.00pm was a novelty given it was October! Hotel was lovely, chic but small areas still tired as it is undergoing a refurbishment and you can't afford to update everything at once but saying that it was clean, tidy and the conservatory views were excellent. The staff were helpful and went out of their way to make you feel welcome especially Neil and Ian. Food was very good and my husband enjoyed his cooked breakfast with the home made jams and relishes. In all an excellent hotel to stay in with a lovely white sandy beach makes it more inviting so we will be returning but for far longer with perhaps trips to the Islands involved. Well done the Argyll full marks :-).
