Not bad nice friendly lady on arrival. Restaurant wasn’t open for dinner or drinks which was wasnt stated on booking. Com but yes nice 👍🏻 esp the lady at desk who worker the sat. Didn’t order food to room after not really feeling the vibe from the man at reception who wasn’t that helpful so we ordered take away 6/10 all in.

I've stayed at the hotel twice in the past month due to visoting Girvan on compassionate grounds. Michael and Lesley have been amazing and so accommodating going the extra mile which has made a difficult time that little bit easier. The accommodation itself is lovely and spotless, the breakfast provision is more than generous and the location is stunning. The hotel is also dog friendly and every little detail is taken care of. I can't recommend them more highly and I'll definitely be back under better circumstances.

Great place to stay family run business nothing too much bother. Since COVID the rooms have had an upgrade to make them self catering with everything you need for a short or longer stay. Beautiful coastal views too in very pleasant rooms.

Outstanding. Stunning location. Excellent accommodation more than 3 star. Owner and staff extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing too much trouble. Room was filled will all the essentials and more. Had a seaview room and it didnt disappoint. Rooms are large and spacious. Cleaned to first class standard. Great place to stay. Will return and highly recommend.

Just returned after having a great week celebrating our Silver Wedding Anniversary. Good location, friendly service and excellent room. Would definitely recommend and would love to revist again in the future.

Woodland Bay Restaurant catered a delicious lunch buffet for our family and friends after a family Christening. The staff were friendly and couldn't have been more helpful with our varied dietary needs. Nothing was too much trouble, right from the friendly booking from Micheal to the follow through to make sure everything was to our liking from Vicki. Supper at the restaurant was fabulous 5 star for sure "the other Micheal" was very attentive and friendly as well. We stayed two nights at the bungalow on the premises which we all loved! The views are spectacular and the rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. We had a truly memorable family celebration at Woodland Bay, I love this property and would highly recommend it to anyone. Love this hotel. Only small but rooms are lovely. Food at breakfast great with plenty of choice and dog friendly. Dinner in the restaurant was also lovely. Situated on the coast road fabulous.

I have been to this hotel every year for the past 6 or 7 years. It is a lovely hotel. The staff are very friendly the views are good and it is very clean. Also it's great you can take your dog for a one off payment of £20 per stay, the dog is even aloud in the dining room if well behaved of course. The hotel is right on the sea front and Ailsa Craig can be seen in distance. This is where the rock comes from to make curling stones. The only down side is there isn't a lot to do if you like activities but plenty of lovely walks with nature. It's worth a stay if you just like to chill out and take things easy.

Immaculate, spacious and comfortable with little thoughtful extras for the kids. Loved the mezzanine room with huge bed and views of the sea. Staff very friendly and polite. Breakfast was lovely and relaxing. Easy access to beach across the road to enjoy the beautiful sunsets.

This is a hidden gem people forget about and drive past. My husband and 1 had a lovely lunch here today. Steak pie was amazing. We were served by a lovely girl chloe who was brilliant. Xx.

Fantastic hotel with excellent service from the staff! The bar/restaurant is high quality, the location is beautiful and facilities are more than adequate! Highly recommended this hotel if you are staying in Girvan.

Went for coffee, had to wait 20 minutes in an empty restaurant for drink that came luke warm, wasn't impressed. Positives — decor was lovely, horse outside were beautiful to watch and prices were good.

Excellent attention, like all Scots! We were greeted without prior notice, entrance the night, we were armed the room with a smile, they provided all the amenities! Great!

An absolutely beautiful location, excellent service, and incredible hospitality. I'm thankful that my path in life lead me here for a week. This place made the best of our Girvan vacation.

Due to a power cut (I need a machine to breathe at night) we were forced to find local accommodation quickly at night. The owner of the Woodlands was very understanding and despite the hour, waited for us to arrive. The room was nice and warm when we got there and the bed had an amazingly luxurious mattress. Our room was wheelchair friendly and included a walk in shower. The staff are very attentive and the freshly cooked breakfast is extremely tasty. Highly recommended.

Drove in off the road with no booking, arriving at 17:30, the manager who booked us in was brilliant and nothing was to much trouble. He and staff were fabulous could not do enough for us plus our dog. What a fabulous hotel, lovely clean spacious modern rooms with huge beds, shower was great. Great views from rooms, this shows a huge credit to the housekeeping staff. The restaurant was lovely. Huge massive compliments to the Chef as the food was excellent with great portion sizes, then breakfast was as lovely with huge portions (especially the porridge) Huge thanks to Paulette who served breakfast she was lovely, professional and made us feel at home. We will definitely be staying again and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

Eat here regularly on way between home and cairnryan. Food excellent, staff chatty and pleasant. Good Scottish breakfast in clean restaurant. Not over priced!

Great food, staff very helpful and friendly, even allows dogs which is a bonus.

We had a lovely meal here, with excellent service. The setting is very nice, interior decor is pretty, and the food was good. We had good options to choose from, and our boys enjoyed the children's menu, which was essentially small versions of the adults food.

I turned up out of the blue and had one of the tastiest Sunday dinners ever. Classy surroundings with views straight out to the sea.

Very nice room, spacious (we had the superior double though! ) Good breakfast too. Only slight negative was the road noise at night, although we chose a sea view, so can't really complain!

Generally great with very nice staff and breakfast. Shame the "double" bed was 2 singles pushed together and the mattress was hard as a rock. On the whole good though!

This was our 4th year married and we both like a nice restaurant and good food. I can along with my wife give this establishment full marks on price, service, comfort, and a friendly warmth, to good to be true? I, d say no, need proof.? £99 quid got us a full 3 course dinner, a superb breakfast, easy access for my wheelchar, a bed bigger than a king size, and so comfy. Ok you don't spend that sort of money day by day, but this place is first class, thanks to our waitress paulette, and to all the staff for a great night,,,, be back again,,, deffo.

Great few days here exploring coastline towns. Spacious rooms, free wireless, lots of parking, well-stocked whiskey bar, friendly and helpful staff. Recommend the fillet steak in the restaurant. Rooms need fridges though.

Had an amazing stay. The hotel was fantastic. The staff were so friendly. Would definitly recommend! And we are definitly planning to stay again! Thank you woodland bay.
