Fabulous place — very well ran by great staff.

Staff were superb could not do enough for you and thought of everything. Food was delightful of a very good standard. Setting was beautiful. Had a very special lovely weekend.

Simply Fantastic. This was a first time visit for us.
I booked a suite as a surprise for my husband along with the six course dinner and breakfast. From start to finish the attention to detail, the staff, food, and overall service was flawless. We will definitely be back!

Stayed a couple of nights and thoroughly enjoyed the room and gardens. Staff shortages due to covid meant service lacking in some areas.
Met some lovely people and would certainly seriously consider staying again if in the area.

My husband and I have just returned from a wonderful overnight stay in the Countess of Inchcape suite. It was a magical experience from start to finish. The castle itself is absolutely stunning and has beautiful gardens. The suite is exceptional and has everything you would ever need during your stay, from complimentary still and sparkling water, to robes and slippers, hairdryer and toiletries. The turn down service at night adds a special touch. The attention to deal throughout the hotel is second to none and has such a cosy, relaxed atmosphere. We were waited on hand and foot with very attentive, friendly staff. The food is, without doubt, the best we have ever tasted. Afternoon tea was served in the drawing room and had a delicious selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes all served with tea or coffee. We had the six course dinner menu served in one of the beautiful dining rooms. It was sensational to say the least and so beautifully presented. Breakfast was also served in the dining room and once again was delicious. Thank you to all at Glenapp Castle who helped make our first visit so memorable and we can't wait to return.

A lovely hideaway on the Scottish coast, this castle has been lovingly turned into a world-class hotel. The customer service is unbelievable, and there is a surprising amount of things to do in the area. If you want to get away from it all but still have a first class experience, look no further.

Beautiful peaceful, friendly atmosphere, gorgeous scenery, definitely reccomend a visit. It's a hidden gem.

This place had the most impeccable service. Everyone was polite, friendly and treated us like royalty. Planning an overseas wedding is no easy thing and they made it the easiest experience. We visited on our honeymoon seeking a romantic getaway after our big day, and Glenapp Castle delivered above and beyond our expectations. We felt like royalty every second we were there: the team could not have been more helpful, attending to our every need. We were also lucky enough to experience a couple of dinners at the hotel, and Sunday lunch. We can say without a doubt that this was some of the best food we've ever had. Thank you so much to the whole team for making our stay so memorable. We hope to visit our Scottish home-from-home again soon.

Practically Perfect in Every Way I have had the great pleasure of travelling far and wide and staying in some of the best hotels around the world — Glenapp puts them all to shame. Tucked away behind unmarked gates the grounds of Glenapp are beautiful. The room we had was stunning and almost 1000sqft. The housekeeping staff are amazing, coming in three times a day to straighten, fold and freshen — but we never saw them do it. We affectionately named the "room fairies" because they seemed to be magic. The food is outstanding, easily rivaling Michelin starred restaurants. Everything I ate was seasoned well, cooked perfectly and reflected the castle's Scottish roots. This is a place of quiet reflection, offering the guests tennis, croquet and walking but is not for those seeking adventure (which was perfect for us). If you do want to get a bit more sporting the castle can arrange a host of activities in the surrounding areas (shooting, falconry, etc). We loved our stay and would recommend it as an escape from the hustle and bustle of every day life, all while being pampered and spoilt by the incredible staff.

Arriving at this stunning castle we were greeted at the main door and escorted into the beautiful entrance hall where we were taken to the dining room for a delicious afternoon tea. The service was excellent, friendly and all the staff were eager to make our visit memorable. Afterwards we had a walk around the walled garden which is very pretty then we returned to the castle in time to watch a beautiful bride being piped out to the garden for her wedding ceremony. There is also a lovely little tearoom in the walled garden which we will return to try sometime soon. Highly recommend a visit to beautiful Glenapp Castle.

Family spent a night here and it was not enough. A very special place. We also did a session with Elite Falconry. Can not put into words what a great experience we had. And the dinner and breakfast should not be missed. We are already planning to come back.

Had a lovely Afternoon Tea — my sister's birthday treat to me — yesterday. The staff were great and friendly. For me, it was definitely the place to go for an extra special treat. The sun was shining (always makes for a better day) so we had a lovely walk around the gardens afterwards. The Victorian Tea Room in the walled garden was closed but the tea room lady let us in to have a look around. Hoping to be back during the Summer to walk more of the grounds and have something to eat in the Victorian Tea Room.

Fantastic place, staff could not be anymore attentive food was lovely, stunning views and lovely grounds. Great room we took the dog so given room with easy access to outside. Will be back.

We returned home from our stay at Glenapp Castle nearly three weeks ago, and I've delayed in posting a review, simply for lack of knowing how best to articulate our unbelievable experience. I'm still unable to find the right words, so I'll simply share that we've never experienced anything like the service we received at Glenapp Castle. The food was incredible, the accommodations were gorgeous and luscious, the grounds were breath-taking, but the service we received is what put it all over-the-top. Glenapp Castle and specifically, the incredible people who work there to make it the treasure that it is, will forever have a special place in my heart. xx.

My husband and I brought our 11 year old son and we had an outstanding experience. There were games to play, a forest to explore, bikes to ride, and an abundance of delicious food and drinks. The castle and grounds are gorgeous. The staff anticipated our needs before we even had them. Glenapp surpassed all of our expectations. Thank you!

Our son got married here in 2016. The staff at the castle made the whole occasion wonderful.
When it came to deciding where we should celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary in mid Feb. My husband & I immediately thought of the Castle.
As returning guests, John & his team made us feel like old friends. Everything about our stay was perfect.
After the hustle & bustle of the wedding, it was lovely to be able to relax this time & soak up the peace & tranquility, not to mention the delicious afternoon teas on offer.
As a paraplegic, I am reliant on a wheelchair. Everything was done to unsure my comfort & to make as much as possible of the castle & grounds accessible to me.
We certainly chose the right place to celebrate & would not hesitate to recommend Glenapp to any of our friends.

Stunning venue which is ideal for smaller sized weddings. The grounds are beautiful and the food fantastic. The staff are very attentive and really spoil you.

Me and my wife were given a gift for afternoon tea. We arranged to arrive early to view the gardens, unfortunately a heavy mist had descended and visability was somewhat reduced, we still enjoyed the walk round the castle perimeter. Tea was served in the Drawing room which was very much as expected the service was excellent the staff were friendly without being overpowering. We were rather restricted in viewing the remaining facilities but given the cost for a room I would expect everything to be to a very high standard. A little bonus we were provided with a doggy bag. One down side was the access road. It is used for in and out traffic. I personally would not like to negotiate parts of the road in a dark frosty night. All in all I would recommend the Glencapp Castle for afternoon tea.

Fabulous location, the garden and grounds are stunning. The castle itself is beautiful, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The standard of service is outstanding. Definitely worthy of the 5 star experience. Would highly recommend, and will return.

We had a wonderful 1 night stay at Glenapp Castle on the 11th of August the place is amazing we would like to thank Chris and Hugh who were lovely and also Leah in the Tea room JIll and Joe McCrossan.

Outstanding service … 5 star all the way … We have worked our way around a number of top class establishments over the years but this rates a clear number one. No exaggeration. Food and accommodation top notch but staff make the experience well worth the visit. Well done guys and girls you have restored my faith in customer service where most other places are bland at best and inept mostly.

Visited Glenapp for Afternoon tea as a birthday treat. Gorgeous sunny afternoon where we got to wander the vast gardens in the sunshine. Beautiful! We then had Afternoon Tea with a view out over the gardens with Ailsa Craig in the distance. Staff were extremely helpful & polite. Afternoon tea was exceptional! Would highly recommend Glenapp Castle, well worth a visit.

Attended Glenapp castle and was greated at the door by a member of stave who was very poilte and remember our names from only hearing them ones. Waited till we were seates before they took their seat. Amazing place stunning views and building.

What a remarkable place! well worth the drive up the coast road to get to this little hidden gem. We stayed for a private wedding where the service, food and attention to guests needs were delivered with exceptional quality, with a smile and a "nothing is too difficult madam" attitude. The grounds are stunning, the local area provides lots of natural wonder and the castle itself a historic delight. John the GM and all his staff under Hugh are an example of how great service can make your stay relaxed and comfortable. The rooms are quaintly decorated but extremely comfortable, the food was out of this world and we would definitely return. Even just for the wellies and the Glennapp North Face wind sheeters! We spent the most glorious family weekend here. Forever memories were made and we were deliciously happy. The staff are wonderful and kind and child-friendly, the setting is exquisite, the food is fantastic and the gardens idyllic. My boys would insist that I mention the best croquet, the best bicycles, the best Glen walk and the best company. We will be back.

Great options for afternoon tea, three-course lunch and dinner. The kitchen produces dishes which use conscientiously-sourced ingredients, are artistically presented, and served with expertise and refinement (visitors should expect a degree of formality from their visit here – although in these surroundings that’s not an unusual prospect). Adam and his team make great use of Scottish ingredients – blending them with far-reaching elements and utilising classic techniques from the annals of fine European cookery.
