We had the pleasure of working with Helen, Lily and the Events Team at the weekend, setting up a wedding on behalf of our lovely Clients. We wanted to express our sincere thanks at the hospitality and professionalism shown during our visit. Nothing was too much trouble and the planning throughout, set-up beforehand and dismantle in the early hours following the wedding worked like a dream. We do hope that we will have the opportunity to work with you all again soon. Julie x.

A lovely stay, nice big rooms, the beds are so comfy I slept late for work. The shower is amazing… feel so refreshed afterwards! Love the fridge in the room, Great addition!
I think his name is James is such a lovely chap, always helpful and really cheery. He makes you feel welcomed and nothing is too much! The other staff members I didn’t catch their names in the mornings and evenings are also polite and friendly, makes all the difference when staying somewhere on your own. This is room 366

I have stayed here numerous times, over night as part of a coach trip with National Holidays. Clean, comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Food excellent.

Very dated decor, dont see the reason to charge £5.00 to park your car in the car park when you have just paid over £100.00 for a room!

Clean, staff greatest asset, food nice, room 363 wc smells must b something wrong with u bend, also definitely needs a new mattress springs sticking up! sorry popping this on here but no staff around when I left this morning.

Newly refurbished room. Was quiet and comfy. Restaurant food was excellent. Car park charge was £6. Staff were helpful but sometimes hard to find.

Lovely room. But we only had 1 "bath towel" and 3 tiny hand towels between 2 adults. Also toilet paper was at end of rolls with no spares in room. Not great when it runs out at 4am!

Awesome place to spend some time off. Great play area for children and awesome beer garden for parents. Good bar for adults and an amazing service for people wanting to relax.

Absolutely fantastic place, rooms are clean and comfortable, food in the restaurant is delicious! Nice garden for kids to run around, few minutes drive from Ricoh Arena.

Excellent place to stay. Exceeded expectations. Staff are helpful and friendly. Beds are comfortable. The food is lovely. Only downfall is the price of breakfast. £13.99 is a bit much. We went to a Stonehouse carvery instead for breakfast.

Stayed 2 nights for business. Called the hotel earlier in the day, informing them that I would be checking in late. Arrived at the hotel at 23:00 to find the reception desk unmanned. After a minute or so a pleasant clerk appeared (after seeing me on camera no doubt) and found my reservation with ease and gave me my key. Asked if I had stayed before, I said no, he proceeded to kindly direct me to the lifts and provided both breakfast and dinner timings. There was a small fitness centre along the hallway. My room was on the first floor and of the adjoining type. Overall cleanliness was OK. It's an old hotel and going through some much needed refurbishment. The shower room and toilet were separate, not ideal. Some dated details in the room that really should be taken care of. The shower handle was peeling and therefore felt dirty and uncomfortable to hold and the flush handle was coming off the wall. There was no air conditioning but a fan was provided. There was tea/coffee making facilities in the room and an ironing board in the closet and hair dryer by the TV. Nice to see a power socket with integrated USB ports by the desk. Would be good to have these by the bed as well. The reading light switch was rather temperamental. The TV was well positioned but the interface was poor. The guide did not show what was on and you therefore had to select each channel to see what was on.

Average and being renovated and the new room upgrades were good but needed some finishing to return. Also some cars were broken into when we stayed so park to the left of reception on arrival.

Staff were very helpful though the room I stayed in wasn't very nice and had a bad odoure. May have been a one off but I personally wouldn't stay there again.

Not at all enjoyable stay, the place was a building site, something we were not made aware of before arriving. The rooms were poor, one of our troop actually had an unknown white stain on a chair. And to top it all there were guests allowed to just roam the halls drunk, shouting and slamming doors from 1am to 4am without anyone to calm them and get them in their rooms, there wasn't even someone covering the phones on the night. And on that I actually had to move furniture to get to call the un-manned reception as the phone had been unplugged. Needless to say we were all short on sleep the next day.

The best night of sleep I have had in forever. Amazingly comfy kingsize bed, blackout blinds and a brilliant breakfast in the morning with plenty to choose from. A truly great stay and lovely staff.

Interior has been updated and is modern. Exterior is dated but don't let this put you off. Helpful staff, spacious rooms with more than adequate luxury for the short stay we were there.

Great hotel with friendly staff throughout stay. Very polite and accomodating with requests. Very good breakfast and comfortable rooms. Ample parking and perfect for people travelling being minutes off the M6 Junction 3 slip-road. Also ideal for any travelling sports fans with the Ricoh Arena a mere 10 minutes walk away. Very spacious and relaxing beds, room well cleaned. Recommended for single, couples or families traveling.

Decent place to stay. No real issues but not particularly great either. No complaints.

Pretty good. Considering it's in the process of an upgrade, the staff are trying really hard to keep on top of things. The food was really good. Shin of beef, tender like fillet. Seriously! Staff really polite and courteous.

OK place to stay. Generally clean but lacking in attention to detail. Great shower and warm water. No working temperature control in room so quite warm. Clean and comfortable bed. Good breakfast but eating area grubby. Only trainee in duty in Saturday morning so any issues couldn't be resolved as they had no way of contacting a manager or head office.

The food is really nice although it's quite a limited menu. My whole party was happy with the quality and taste of the food they received. The rooms are getting quite dated now, and no plug sockets by the bedside is annoying. Somebody was sick at the foot on the stairs when I was there at about 11:45pm when I was there, and at 8:05am when I went for breakfast the hotel staff had just left it there all night and not cleaned it up so you can imagine the smell that filled the entire staircase 8 hours later. That is just down to lazy staff, saying "it's not my job to clean it up" as the staff was actively aware of the sick when it happened and they had put a caution sign near it. Diagusting.

Nice clean hotel. Lovely comfortable room and friendly staff. Went as part of a National Holidays Mystery tour and both the evening meal and breakfast were very good.

Excellent service with a wide variety of food and drinks to choose from. Ample parking and bedrooms for a business event or family gathering. Bedrooms are very nice with double bed and sofa bed for extra guests or children. Some interconnected rooms available but needs to be requested upon booking. Friendly restaurant and reception staff attending to all the guests needs. Play area in back for children with large grass area for children to play. Outside seating available for nice summer days. Gym on ground floor for the fitness fanatics. Definitely recommend for a stopover or business traveller.

Some of the most genuinely friendly staff I have ever met. Nothing was too much trouble and the bar staff were exemplary. Very highly recommended.

There is no atmosphere at this hotel, it's just functional, and that's it! The staff are friendly, but you can tell they are not that happy to be there. The room was quite large, but the decor was shocking. It was really hot, with no air conditioning, the bed was like concrete. The public areas all smell of cigarette smoke, where the fire escapes are left open and lots of people congregate just outside, all puffing away. The food was below average, not all of it is edible. My starter with dinner was disappointing, I believe it was called a Thai Platter, it was 2 small chicken wings, a tiny spring roll and 2 small fish cakes that I could not get a knife through and they were really greasy. I had Lamb for my main course, it was very nice, but more like a child's portion. All of the deserts were very generic, just like you'd buy at Iceland, no real flavour and obviously nothing is made on the premises. The set meal is about £26, but I wouldn't bother with it again, I would go out elsewhere for better quality and value. The buffer style breakfast was better, although it was messy, and some of the food looked past its best. I was glad to check out and drive off.

Avoid this hotel if you are driving. Arrived to meet friends for dinner in the evening and was greeted at the parking barrier by a woman who asked for £20 to park the car. Ask if there are alternatives, we got a 'take it or leave it' reply. Reluctantly paid and asked for a receipt, not given. We were told to park in a field behind the hotel. I am a Le Club member and have been a loyal customer of this hotel group for many years, both business and pleasure, having lived and worked in France and UK. If this an example of how they now treat customers — forget it!

We stay at your hotel from the 13th to the 16th April, when we arrived Adam on reception was very friendly and great with our girls age 2yr and 8 months, the room was big enough for us my daughters loved the deep bath and the shower was fantastic, I first night wasn't as planned as our 8 month become unwell and was sick most of the night the clean lady on the Friday morning was great and told us all be sort when we got back from breakfast. The staff Adam and Charlotte where great and very helpful expescially with my 2yr old and when my 8 month was ill to. One thing I would say is maybe invest in more baby things like bottle warms and sterilising boxes thank for a great stay we will be back in june xx.

I have never been so embarrassed in my life. I ordered a bottle of wine and glass of lemonade and it came to 23.75. So I got my card out and it wasn't working. So the bar staff split the bill for contactless in to a ten and 13.75 — not a clue why? It accepted the 10 and not the 13.75. I didn't have no cash on me and the bar staff was insinuating that I have no money in my bank in front of at least 7 people. To the point where I got my online banking statment up to probe I had more that sufficient funds. I could of cried. I felt belittled. So I lent £10

Had cash as she was eating her tea which was the remaining 3.75. So I came out from the resteraunt and my friend and mum went to the bar, my mum to give them the £3.75. They over heard them
Talking about me having a joke so I rang HSBC to double check, and they said there is nothing wrong with my card. So I told the bar staff again as they were making me feel stupid. All in the end the card machine wasn't working properly. I will be taking this to the highest point in the managerial sector as I have never had to prove my innocence and 'pretend I have money in my bank'. Absolute disgrace.

We attended a super heroes event at the hotel, the kids loved it they had a great time and the hotel looked lovely will definitely recommend.

Decent hotel, very conveniently located by the motorway junction. Convenient for attending matches or gigs at the Ricoh arena or even Birmingham.

Great hotel just off the motorway. Well maintained, nice grounds. Good quality rooms. Breakfast buffet is varied and well worth the money. Staff are varied. Some really friendly, some indifferent.

The hotel looks awful from the outside, however the room was nice good size. The staff were really helpful and kind and made the difference. Food was good as you would expect.

Rooms basic, irons ate corded to the boards and makes a simple job quite difficult! Comfy bed with nice selection of pillows. Would stay again.

Expensive to park. Not child friendly. Poor service. Didn't stay for drinks as took too long to be served. Would not recommend.

Excellent venue in close proximity to the Ricoh arena. Friendly staff and warm welcoming atmosphere. Just off the motorway and easy to reach for a long distance stopover.

Very tired and needs a redecoration. Food was good though.

I opted for the slightly more expensive superior room and found it to be nicely decorated and clean. I found the staff to be extremely helpful and polite and couldn't fault them. The only minor issues I had was that I could only seem to get the sound from the TV out of the speaker in the bathroom and my food came with onion relish when I asked for it without. Would certainly be happy staying again in future.

Breakfast not included in room rate and costs £15. Rooms are quite small and getting dated.

Found the room spacious and clean. Very comfortable bed and quiet. Would have been nice to have a mini bar in room. Bathroom clean and modern, seperate toilet. All in all a nice room for the money.

I sit in the Hotel and write the review whilst I am in the room. Please do yourself a big favour and avoid the hotel like the plague. Good price but the standard rooms are a 1-2 star. The supreme rooms are very basic but in the hotel pic. The rooms do not show the awful, wood chipped wallpaper which is hideous, dirty, dusty, hairs in bed and bathroom. I checked in at 11pm and was told No Food, apart from Sandwiches. Fine. I ordered and it took 45 minutes. The poor man on reception was also the cook for the night. How poor is this. Avoid, I almost checked out. If it was not so late.
